A couple weeks in for me, and this atomizer is not exactly my favorite. I might need to try the 2.0, as the 1.5 is quite hot for me, and I don't get a ton of vapor. Furthermore, the draw is getting very stiff. Is there a huge difference between the 2.0 and the 1.5? Should I take the plunge?

Not sure, I have been using the 2 Ohm for some time now. I have too experienced varying behavior. The highlights for me early on was the intense flavor I was getting. However, after a few days I got less flavor, very stiff draw at times, and I've always had mediocre vapor. My initial thoughts were that I'd be back for more eventually, although I may patiently wait for future revisions.

I've cleaned it well quite a few times, and I do dry burns until my coil looks shiny and new. Still not doing the things I had imagined. I am not saying don't try a 2 Ohm version, but just telling my experience so far with my 2 Ohm.

Good luck!

I ordered 3 pairs of BF Hybrid 2.0 atties from vapage. They arrived yesterday.
I'm brand new to pv world, but I've been reading alot here on ECF past few weeks.
So I did as learned... prime feed and wait a bit, re-feed and fire. and a no go.
Tried to screw in/out more but I just couldn't get it started.

Took out the second one from the same package. And it was all good, until about 6 hours later.
After having a few puffs I thought I should feed it again, so I did and it wasn't responding anymore when I tried to fire. I was thinking the cold liquid on the hot coil did something to it... but that sounds like a pretty normal task for atties.

Here comes my third one in less than one day. And this one has been working wonderfully for past 24 hours. I think I sense what 'broken in' folks were saying means as the performance seems to be improved past few hours.

I just learned how to check the ohms on atties, so I tested all the ones I have including the ones not firing.
Obviously I can't read anything on the two that not working.
Three of them reads normal, (which is 2.4~2.5 minus 0.4~0.5 inherent which makes them 2.0), but the one I'm using currently reads higher(about 2.6~2.7 minus .4~.5 = 2.2), and there's also one that reads 1.7~1.8(2.2 minus .4~.5 = 1.7~1.8)

I've been vaping at around 4.5v, currently at 4.8v past 12 hours or so (I did at one point tried 5~6v on the second atty(one now dead) for couple puffs but it was taking it fine at the time.
Is this too high voltage on 2.0 atty?

Anyways, just my 1.5 day of experience so far...

I would say that 4.2 volts is about as hard as you want to push a 2 ohm atty, and 3.7 volts for a 1.5 ohm atty if you wanna get any kind of life out of them.

Thanks jkoppk.
I Just turned it down to 4.5v from 4.8v just to see how it ends up.
But if it dies early I'll remember your advice and stay at 4.2v or below for the rest of the atties.
Good thing they're making higher than 2.0 now.

I guess today's subject for me would be the watts...
Been here on ECF for few weeks now and every single day is tons of learning.

Hey Chet, good to see ya over here ;-)

Now you got that RSM VV, you can take it a bit easy on these attys  Don't forget to allow a break in (seasoning). These have a lot of mesh to season. They should last a lot longer if you don't run 'em hard straight outta the box. I had to go back and look at my invoice, and am now at just shy of a month on 2 of 3. I lost one pretty early but that is not uncommon with an atty here or there. Vapage will take care of the DOAs for you.

Gonna toss this out there for our Int'l vapers. I'm already sending some of these awesome attys to a vaper in Europe. I spoke with John about the high shipping charges and they are working on it. In the mean time, if anyone would like, I am happy to order for you and ship. All I ask is pp payment to order the attys and then pp payment once I know the actual shipping charges. So far it seems to be in the range of $3.50-$5.00 dependent on weight. Also need clear directions for the customs declaration form. Typically I am able to get to the post office 2Xs/week.

COV shipped four of these to Sweden for me. The shipping was $6 and took 1½ week to arrive.
Just saying.
