Sorry mate,
Your anxiety level seems rather high and I presumed you to be under a doctors care.
If that is not the case, I apologize.
Never the less, a stress reducing outlet; yoga, T'ai Chi, walking, cycling, meditation, prayer, etc may help to distract you from some of the compulsive thoughts and anxiety associated with abstaining from smoking.

Best of luck
I

Welcome to ECF, brandon sandberg. How long and how much did you smoke? You may need to up your nic level just a bit, or keep a second unit with a higher nic level than what you have now. Vapes deliver nicotine slightly differently than cigarettes, but you're probably just going thru withdrawals of all the other chemicals and nasty :censored: in cigarettes. Like Opinionated said above there's nothing (well, magnitudes less..) to worry about chain vaping. It's a helluva lot better than chain smoking..
A pack or two a day I started when I was seven I'm 24 now

So I've been vaping for a couple weeks slowed down my daily smoking to half a pack then 5 cigs then 3 and and then 1 now I'm day 2 no cigs but I find that I vape a lot and think about cigs a lot I don't actually want them but I think of them then find my finger on the firing button of my vape this is constantly, will I slow down anytime soon it's not that I don't enjoy the vaping aside from giving myself a sore throat sometimes (i can use a lozenge to fix this)but the thing is constantly being used so I worry for the charge and I worry for my wanting that cig and not having a charge it makes me feel a bit weak and vulnerable to finding a cig to sate my desire while I charge I don't want to reset anymore even if it's one cig.

Ps. Sorry for the rant but I felt it somewhat neccessary to set my mood so those who relate maybe can help.

Somewhere in the 18mg to 24mg nic level is a common place to to be if you are a mouth to lung vaper. If you are a direct to lung vaper, try 6mg nic strength. If you are doing DIY it's easy to change your nic level. If you buy your juice from a vape shop you can buy various strengths and find the nic level that satisfies without making you dizzy. To cut down the nic from vape shop juices you can buy a lower nic strength juice and mix the two to drop your nic levels gradually or just buy a lower strength when you want to try dropping the nic level.

Once you have kicked the cigs to the curb and no longer crave a smoke, then you can play with lowering your nic level a little at a time.

The advice about getting a back up device and even a back up device for the back up is sound - yes you have to spend more intially but it really really is worth it.

Here's my take - I was 66 when I started vaping; I had first smoked at age 10 and was 100% hooked by the time I left secondary school. My system ran on nicotine and strong tea for most of my life. I had failed on two Smoking Cessation Courses even though they doled out nic patches gum and lozenges - I spent an agonising 6 weeks counting every second since I'd last smoked on those courses before caving in again.

I genuinely feared a re - run of that - and God I still remember walking around the block at 04.00am just to try to stop thinking about wanting to smoke.

I happened on vaping by accident via my formerly chain smoking daughter and her ditto husband - vaping worked miraculously BUT then the fear cut in that my device might die ... the answer was to buy a back up and another back up for that.

My advice - buy back ups and spare coils; stick with a 16 -18 strength juice and be kind to yourself - use it as much as you have to ... there really are better days ahead. Believe it or believe it not there will come a day when you find you don't even like the smell of cigarettes.

Remember try to enjoy the most when vaping, what does this mean?
Easy, vape when you really want to smoke, grab your gear and take some puff, start including it in your life, having a great coffee, well some deserts flavor and icecream ones are amazing with hot drinks, i like to drive at nights with my Barista eliquid coffee cup and some vanilla-late coffee, sometimes with caramel coffee eliquid, helped me a lot, now i drive and drink coffee with tasty clouds, some years ago i was driving and smoking, i like to enjoy motogp races, with my mech loaded with freshly charged batteries ...

if you want why not, RTA mtl + salt nic, amazing experience, so close to smoking for me, warm vape and that nic rush we love!

try to get a bit more into, you will forget smokes!

Regards,

To be honest it's kind of NORMAL to be vaping like a hamster in a cage at your quitting time. There is no harm in upping your nic but by how much can depend. I would sort of start in 2 mg increments and see if it helps.

Things that may also help: WTA (Whole tobacco alkaloids). Gold standard are Aroma's but you pay for that. Ohm's vapes and Umbavapes make a cheaper option. They replace some of the MAOI substances found in tobacco.

They helped me with that "I want to chew through steel" sensation I got at like 3 pm every day. I use them less nowadays but they were really helpful.

Best of luck and congratulations to you.
