For the subject of Diacetyl and the search for flavors not containing them, I will post the following response I received from Capella Flavor Drops after enquiring of their use of it.

I have been given permission by Tom to share this information with the community, and want to offer yet another alternative for a known flavoring company that many use for DIY.

I will post his reply to my email to them without my original email content as it contains a lot of other inquiries that are unrelated and/or irrelevent to the subject of this thread

I also want to point out that I "personally" am not of the concerned camp, and have made the personal decision/choice that no matter what I'm doing or inhaling, it HAS to be better than what I was previously with processed tobacco cigarettes, yet had the opportunity to ask on behalf of my fellow members who are concerned:

Hi Greg,

I understand.

Let me clarify a few things for you and your community.

While Diacetyl is a natural occurring compound found in “Butter” and products containing butter. Our flavors are all GRAS flavorings which do not contain any dairy, butter, creams, etc. And on another note we do NOT add any Diacetyl to our flavors ( there is no point in us doing that ).

All of our flavors are “Food Grade Flavorings” and are intended to flavor foods and beverages, that’s what we make our flavors for. I don’t believe there is any company that should be saying their flavors are for “e-liquids, etc” since there is just not enough data to substantiate that their flavors would be safe for such a use.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I will be more than happy to answer any questions “anyone” has regarding flavors and the chemistry of.

Thanks again and have a great holiday!

I read that they had 1 juice with diacetyl but they have removed it from their site.

That's a little harder to figure out now. FlavourArt has added several flavors to their diacetyl-containing list, including Hypnotic Mist, Royal, Oba Oba and Oryental4 - all of which are sold on vb.

FWIW, I wouldn't recommend asking about it on the VB forum. Notsofriendly.

I emailed bluemistvaping.com and received a response that he definitely does not use anything with diacetyl. "I don't want it my juice, and I wouldn't put it in yours".

that's great to know. bluemist has become one of my favorites, and i've been meaning to email them to ask. thanks for checking it out.

Stupid question: it says DIY, I assume that's in reference to DIY Flavorshack. Pardon me for being dense, but I couldn't find it on the website.

Vapor Station says on their website they don't, but they don't make it easy to find that little tidbit of information.

Before I send an e-mail, does anyone know about Eliquidplanet or Vermont Vapor?

Pax, I'd say if you're interested in vaping the safest possible juice, stick with ECOpure - they're tasty, clean tasting, and committed to using the least "stuff" in a vapeable nicotine replacement product.

Who carries Ecopure juices? I know I have run across some vendors that have it, but I can't remember any names off the top of my head.
