I still think the solution will be in raising the carto resistance, and they have a plan for doing that now, but of course we will have to test them thoroughally before making any changes, keeping in mind that we do not want to sacrifice performance.
I'm so glad to hear Leaford is on the case. Just don't lose the performance! I agree that offering two ohm ratings would be superior to losing the performance we have on these relatively-low resistance cartos now.
I received my BWB juices today (five different flavors) and I've tried three of them in BMF cartos. All are 70/30 blend.
They vape absolutely fantastic. Huge plumes of vapor (probably due to the VG content more than anything else), great flavor and absolutely no burnt taste. Don's 555 is delicious. I've been told these get a lot better with a week or two of steeping, but they are just great right out of the mail, with a born-on date of 2/15/11.
Too bad I only got 10ml of the 555. So far it's by far my favorite refill juice.
I actually placed an order of 70/30 and it worked fine.I am going to order some 70/30 from FSUSA who is my favorite juice vendor to try in the BMF cartos. I really LOVE these when they work so hopefully this will be the ticket! Will report back when I get the results.
This should be made clear on the website, because I just ordered some freakin' 70/30 juice and I have a feeling that won't be too great either.
That's actually the way I'm starting to lean, after a couple days of self testing. I think the voltage is a big part of it, with the resistance the next biggest factor, followed by the liquid. In that case, raising the resistance by the small amount we could before sacrificing vapor and TH (0.2ohm or so) might not be enough, so a seperate line of higher resistance cartos might be the most viable solution. Please don't raise the resistance on these things. These work perfectly at the resistance they are at. Raising the resistance will cool the vape (and make burning on thick liquid less likely, yes), but it will absolutely take away from what makes these cartos so effective in the first place.
If anything, perhaps have an optional line of cartos with a higher resistance, but I, for one, don't want to have to go back to sucking myself into a headache just to get a good drag. These are the first cartos I've seen (in 2 years of vaping), that give a satisfying vape from a small, convenient, form factor, and the best part is you can do it without a 5+ second drag!

But as I keep saying, I'm going to test that hypothesis before concluding anything.
