Frick, I'm so glad you found juices that you like and that are working well for you. Enjoy!

Thanks. :)

I think a couple of the flavors really need to steep for a bit, but the 555 is still glorious. :)

Honestly, bloog 555 in 30ml bottles would probably be my favorite. I have a feeling the juices we're getting in the pre-filled cartos contain a lot of flavoring, because out of a bunch of juices, BWB is the first to really give me good flavor out of BMF cartos.

I have had this issue time to time as well, but I just top off my carto and that seems to help. I have the mini pcc kit and a trifecta that I use blanks and all my juice is from cigtechs (WCV). I get EXCELLENT vapor production. But I noticed the burnt taste more affter putting it onto a freshly charged battery. After some pulls and the voltage drops ( I presume ) the carts work great. Again it's not ALL the time but it happens maybe 40% of the time. And with the 5 prefilled cartos that shipped with my kit I haven't had this burnt tase at all.

Thats interesting as mine has to be well filled if not to taste like wet dishrag on a reg batt, but stick it back on bloog batt and not so much...

On another note, ive had probs with coughing using old type cartos.... thought it was the juice..... weirdly the bloog cartos hit softer and different... so nowt discomfort...That I like.. can go back n foth.... and its cough, no cough...weird huh?

I was wondering if anyone's had any luck with cleaning the cartos that had the burnt taste? Out of my 5 pack of blanks I had four with that burnt taste. One of these I threw away because after a few drags it just stopped working. I decided to try cleaning the other 3.
I did the reverse spin thing to clear out the juice and then I put them in boiling water for 5 minuets or so, then I did the reverse spin again to help clear out the water and let them dry for 2 days. I just refilled 2 of the 3 and have been using them for the last hour or so and so far no burnt taste. I should add that I did refill with a different juice, although the first and second fills were both 100% pg. I don't know but I'm pleased that I was able to revive at least 2 of them.:)

I still think the solution will be in raising the carto resistance, and they have a plan for doing that now, but of course we will have to test them thoroughally before making any changes, keeping in mind that we do not want to sacrifice performance.

Please don't raise the resistance on these things. These work perfectly at the resistance they are at. Raising the resistance will cool the vape (and make burning on thick liquid less likely, yes), but it will absolutely take away from what makes these cartos so effective in the first place.

If anything, perhaps have an optional line of cartos with a higher resistance, but I, for one, don't want to have to go back to sucking myself into a headache just to get a good drag. These are the first cartos I've seen (in 2 years of vaping), that give a satisfying vape from a small, convenient, form factor, and the best part is you can do it without a 5+ second drag!

I'm so glad to hear Leaford is on the case. Just don't lose the performance! I agree that offering two ohm ratings would be superior to losing the performance we have on these relatively-low resistance cartos now.

I received my BWB juices today (five different flavors) and I've tried three of them in BMF cartos. All are 70/30 blend.

They vape absolutely fantastic. Huge plumes of vapor (probably due to the VG content more than anything else), great flavor and absolutely no burnt taste. Don's 555 is delicious. I've been told these get a lot better with a week or two of steeping, but they are just great right out of the mail, with a born-on date of 2/15/11.

Too bad I only got 10ml of the 555. So far it's by far my favorite refill juice.

I just received five different flavors from Don (BWB) too and have to agree. No burnt taste, great flavor and lots of vapor. Bought 5 BMF blanks (this was my first time filling cartos) worked wonderfully!

I was disappointed with my blanks as well from the first batch. Many of them produced a burnt flavor as well as some prefilled reds. I had a few V4L premium carts so i went back to them. However, the MF is way better. Luckily i love the prefilled reds and RY4 so a am staying away from blanks until the issue is resolved and I am using Dekang to refill the prefilled ones. I got my friend into vaping with the MF and he has been using blanks with FSUSA PalMal with no problems at all. He fills many at a time and lets them sit for many hours or days before vaping so who knows....

This should be made clear on the website, because I just ordered some freakin' 70/30 juice and I have a feeling that won't be too great either.

70/30 juice is heaven for me .. you should have no issues with this. 100% PG was too much, but the MaxX cartos simply are the best carto I've ever tried with a 70/30 blend, not alone other juices including the 100% PG Dekang stuff.

My excursions into using blends as high as 50/50 was never successful, personally, on any 808 carto - I've heard otherwise from other users that didn't experience the same -- but, I will still maintain that 808 cartos in general, from my personal experience, do not work well with highly VG ratio juices.

That's actually the way I'm starting to lean, after a couple days of self testing. I think the voltage is a big part of it, with the resistance the next biggest factor, followed by the liquid. In that case, raising the resistance by the small amount we could before sacrificing vapor and TH (0.2ohm or so) might not be enough, so a seperate line of higher resistance cartos might be the most viable solution.

But as I keep saying, I'm going to test that hypothesis before concluding anything.

Not sure what's the state-of-the-art for the voltage regulation circuits on these PVs, but what should optimally be seeked is power regulation.
A device should auto-regulate it's voltage output to adapt to different atomizer resistances, and even changes in that resistance due to temperature differences, in a way to provide stable power output (P = V2 /R).
That seems to be the way to ensure a stable performance by stabilizing the amount of heat generated by the atty.

Honestly Pmos, I asked about voltage regulator chips less than a year ago, and at the time none of the manufacturers I was working with it could source one that would fit in a standard diameter tube at all. So while I don't really know the state of the art either for them, I'm kind of thinking this is it. :)

But I'll ask about that, no worries.

If I may, Leaford, make a suggestion... Have your engineer look at the wick in the cartomizers. I have a feeling that part of the problem is insufficient wicking. Maybe the cartos need a little more wicking material? Or a bit more efficient wick? Or both? In addition to the above mentioned issues, of course. Just my :2c:

Leaford, I think I've identified a few more problems with the newer cartos. First off, I absolutely LOVE your cartos, but out of 10 blanks a few were rancid. The flavors for the rest were so rich but a week later they are almost flavorless and taste just a little "funny".

They are all 2.5-2.6 ohms. The rancid blanks tend to have the coil off to one side and compressed over 1/2 the wick. The wick was slightly burnt so I scrapped it off. I centered the coil and expanded it over 2/3 of the wick, which btw, I think the wick is way too short. This made it almost usable, but it still tasted odd.

The white plastic seating ring on the center tube is melting! The silicone insert was stuck to the ring and covered in white when I finally pulled it out. I checked two more and the ring is melting in those too. I think the melting is causing nasty fumes that wreck the flavors. I'm so paranoid of vaping melting plastic that we won't use them.

My wife and I used wow cartos and were blown away by the bloogs. After a week we were starting to develop a aversion to vaping due to chest tightness and sinus issues (like smoking) which we figured was a cold. It wasn't. We dug out the wow cartos, and after a day of vaping, sinuses are clear and chest is airy.

Given your attention to detail, I really hope you can have your supplier fix these problems... We really, and I mean really, miss the massive vapor production of the bloog. :(
