So a question for all of you, I know when you stop smoking coughing and clearing your throat is totally normal, however when you split smoking with vaping do you all find that it prolongs the effects? And does some of your liquid make you cough harder?
I find that baked goods make me cough wicked bad, I am using the highest vg possible, don't like the throat hit, love the cloud!

Sad thing I love baked goods, like strawberry short cake, choco chip cookie, ect....

at first i did find the cough harsh but after i figured out my technique to vaping is when the coughing stopped, i love bakery goods jessica my youngest kid bakes a new cake/cookies/cheesecake ect at least 1 new bakery item every few days.

as far as vaping for some reason i lent more towards fruits i dont like, example i dont like/eat peach but ill vape the hell out of it. 1st 3-4 months i did menthol vapes after that well i moved away and into fruits and my caramel butterscotch:drool: hope this helps :D

Congratulation Shari, there's no holding you back now. :)

If you have trouble with your Russian, don't let it get you down, a lot of very experienced people have had trouble getting it right, but once they do they seem to love it.

11 wraps of 30 gauge makes a 2.4 coil for me. That's what I used for the dual coils on my Origen clone. I was shooting for as close to 1 ohm as I could get and with duals you have to make 2 coils twice the resistance you want. I ended up happy with 1.2.

A single 28 g that size is fine but duals would take longer to heat, that is why I used 30 g.

if you dont have the toom for the extra wraps, you can use a higher gage (smaller diameter wire).

Hi Lori. HUGS!

I loved my MVP 1. I also like VEW so I guess an MVP2 is next. Welcome to all the new members. Glad you are here. I cant tell you the last time I vaped. I did order new flavors tho as I need at least 1 maybe 2 surgeries and there is no way I can smoke in the hospital or on the property. When desperate, I vape. Hopefully that click will happen again at least part time. Hugs to all!

For me the coughing, throat clearing stops when I'm smoking. When I vape consistantly it starts up again. So I think your right that as long as were smoking, we'll never get over that hump.

I don't notice any difference between the baked goods, fruits, candies and I'm using highest VG possible. It's hard to say what's going on there. Some ppl are sensitive to VG like others are sensitive to PG. It's very individual. There may be something specific in the liquid causing a reaction too, like cinnamon or alcohol. A lot of things.

I can not vape 100% or real high vg juice comfortably. It gives me a heavy chest feeling, like I am coming down with a chest cold. I seem to cough a bit when I am vaping real heavy for a while. When I ease up it goes away.

Certain flavors, like cinnamon, can irritate your mouth, throat and lungs if you are sensitive to it, I am, so I do not vape anything with cinnamon or similar spices in it, like the chai teas, etc.

Certain nicotine bases have a peppery taste for me so there are vendors that I do not vape their juices.

I do find that I am doing some wheezing at night while lying in bed trying to fall asleep. That may just be from my 46 years of heavy cigarette smoking. I feel much better vaping than I did smoking.

I smoked 8 cigs yesterday and have only had 2 so far today. Ive been back on the vape for a week and a half.

Putting no pressure on myself is helping tremedously. If I am wanting a cig, I vape, If after 10 minutes or so I still want a cig, I smoke one. I usually only take a few puffs and I find myself reaching for the vape again.

If I could constantly keep myself moving and occupied, this transition would be much easier. But I'm too lazy to do that! :p

539 puffs, 8 watts, 3.9 volts still left in the charge?
Yeah that's what I was looking for!
Now to find a small holster to carry some tanks on my belt and I'll be in vape nirvana. The one I carry the battery in will hold 2 iclear 30s perfectly. I'd like to be able to carry 4 but will settle for 2 if need be. If I've got a pocket I can carry 6 EVODs and 2 itaste 3.0 batteries in my little eGo case. That's not a bad out and about setup either.

Look at shotgun-shell belt-pouches. (I have one that has space for 10, but is best for holding 5, just using one side of it).

This is the type I got (same vendor, too)

It'll happen as you let it. Good call not putting pressure on yourself.

I totally stay away from mints and cinnamons. They both irritate my throat, again I am a cloud not throat hit person...

You should be - as I was, too!

Rather than repeat my story, this is how it went down. I really have NO money to buy any gizmos, as much as they would help. I don't even have enough for Kanthal (yes, I know it's only a buck) so this first one really was just a first stab at it, and totally impromptu. I do intend to do it right, but I think I'll be able to do it with some mini screwdrivers which we already have, or nails.

Alisa,

Congrats on your first coil! I've used a mini-screwdriver, and that works pretty well. You can tape one end of the wire to the handle (right above where the screwdriver shaft starts), and then wrap against the little collar there. (You know, where the black part meets the silver part).
