Got my Russian 91% today. Took it out of the box. It is quite beautiful and quite heavy. Have to go watch some videos to figure out how to take it apart. I will give it the ritual welcome home cleaning and then put it aside while I continue to attempt to make a good coil for my Igo-L. The Russian will not be given a coil until I know I can made a vapeable one. Do not want to ruin the experience as I intend it to be my main juice delivery device for my adv.

Hope everyone is having a good day. The weather is nice here but not too warm. We have a chance of snow flurries during the week. Spring is so fickle here.

I just built a great 1.6ohm, 28ga, 10 wrap coil and put it on my Igo-L right. I am vaping my Caramel Pear Black Tea and it never tasted so good!

I also found out when I cleaned up the Igo-L from the last coil that the cheap black plastic drip tip I bought at the vape meet this past month melted around the bottom rim. Not good. My CPBT has never affected any of my other drip tips before, no matter what they were made of. So no buying the cheap stuff at that vape meet anymore. I think I will dig it out of the garbage and bring it to the next meet and show it to that vendor. Got it!

Now I am going to make another coil for the other cheapie, I do not know what it is RBA that I have. I am trying for a 2.0 to 2.2ohm coil. Guess I need more wraps.

If you really want to make the coil building process much easier I suggest you get that Artistic Wire Gizmo coil winder at Hobby Lobby. Michael's probably has it too. Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon for one item so the Gizmo only cost me around $8 including taxes. I tried making coils around drill bits and 16ga syringe needles and I could not do it. With the Gizmo thingy I clamp the thing to the edge of a table, take the second to the smallest rod and some 28ga or 30ga kanthal and wind away. And, ta da!, there be a pretty little coil. I have to squonch it up with tweezers and fire it to make it good and tight, but I finally got a good one. It is fun to do and does not take long. If I can do it anyone can, if they want to. Here is the video to show how quick and easy it is:

Micro Coil 101 - Making A Perfect Micro Coil Using The Coil Gizmo By Artistic Wire - YouTube

I am quite please with myself.

Yay Shari!

I built my first coil Friday night. Was quite the experience, as it was a total, on the spot McGuyver build. :p Had to recoil a used coil 3 times due to ineffective things to wrap it around, but it finally measured in at 2.4 ohms and is working great.

You should be - as I was, too!

Rather than repeat my story, this is how it went down. I really have NO money to buy any gizmos, as much as they would help. I don't even have enough for Kanthal (yes, I know it's only a buck) so this first one really was just a first stab at it, and totally impromptu. I do intend to do it right, but I think I'll be able to do it with some mini screwdrivers which we already have, or nails.

if you dont have the toom for the extra wraps, you can use a higher gage (smaller diameter wire).

Congrats on joining the MVP club! I love mine; it's all I use these days unless I want to mess around with the mechs.

539 puffs, 8 watts, 3.9 volts still left in the charge?
Yeah that's what I was looking for!
Now to find a small holster to carry some tanks on my belt and I'll be in vape nirvana. The one I carry the battery in will hold 2 iclear 30s perfectly. I'd like to be able to carry 4 but will settle for 2 if need be. If I've got a pocket I can carry 6 EVODs and 2 itaste 3.0 batteries in my little eGo case. That's not a bad out and about setup either.

Well, I wish my addictive personality showed an affinity to cleaning the house, doing tasks I do not like and in general, things that are good for me.

I am in that bedroom/computer room and trying to part with books about gardening and landscaping that I know I am never going to make use of again, a bunch of my paralegal textbooks, some books on various topics that I got into during different periods of my life. About a half dozen modems, a tv tuner, all kinds of computer cables. Do not even ask me what is shoved into the various closets in my house.

How do you just let go and get rid of it. I am thinking Ebay, but the cost to ship books is going to be a killer and how to judge the weight? Before vaping I would have sat down and had a couple cigarettes to think about it. Now I am vaping, but at least I am trying to figure out what to do about it and have gotten rid of a few things.

It would be great if ECF had a place where we could swap things other than just vaping material. You know, a Kayfun Lite or 2 for the complete Nero Wolfe mysteries series. Or a few dozen gardening books for some juice. Just a thought.
Hahaha I totally agree with your addicted personality statement. And book suggestion you can sell to a half price book store if there is one in your area?

690, 3.8 volts. I charged it yesterday when it dropped to 3.9, again used to vv3.0s, but it was 4.1 out of the box.
I normally don't keep up with the puff counter but I'm going to take a photo if/when it hits 999 in case it flips back to 0 at a thousand.

Isn't the MVP2 just marvelous? You are getting good mileage on the charge. Couple of times I got it up to almost 650. I know, stupid puff counter, but I get a kick out of it.

Take a look at a couple of small zippered battery cases they have on 101vapes and RTDvapor. I got the one at 101vapes and it is a semi-hard ego case type material with a nice thick elastic that will hold 3 of my 18650 batteries with room to spare and is only couple of dollars. It says efest on it in small letters and has a J hook for your belt.

I loved my MVP 1. I also like VEW so I guess an MVP2 is next. Welcome to all the new members. Glad you are here. I cant tell you the last time I vaped. I did order new flavors tho as I need at least 1 maybe 2 surgeries and there is no way I can smoke in the hospital or on the property. When desperate, I vape. Hopefully that click will happen again at least part time. Hugs to all!
