Thanks Shari, I really appreciate that.

The shop's website isn't super accurate on their descriptions, and people haven't been leaving reviews on the actual purchases (me included), so it's hard to tell what they really have. Everything I've gotten from them so far has been great quality and exactly as described though. Every single time, if the staffer I was working with didn't know everything about what I was getting into, they called somebody else to the counter to help.

I think I'll spend some serious time with them and tear down each one to check for machining issues and flaws before I buy. So far, it's been under $30 and heavily researched, so I knew what I wanted when I walked through the door. I'm looking at breaking the $50 mark, so I want to make sure it's something good.

I've got a few all day VAPES, time to find the all day device...something has to be more enticing and help with 1 less analog! :)

*Edit: The website lists it as Sveomestro, but you're right. It could be a mirror clone. I'll keep an eye on the packaging as well. Price is ~ $10 difference.
I say if it helps to stop one less analog it's worth it!

I have heightened senses. I can't walk near any lotion aisle without getting a headache from the smells. Or animal food aisles (not as bad). Worst offenders are hair spray, perfume/deodorant, and laundry aisles.
Indeed, I am there with you, I can handle the lotion and candles only because I
Ove the smell of some of them, and burn candles regularly if it's the right scent, more like an ocean, clean laundry, sometimes
Light lavender, citrus, the killer for me is the perfumes, axe body sprays, sickening sweet florals, and ESP body odor. I work in a corporate building and seriuosly some people just over do the body sprays!

You do not need to use mesh with a Genny, lots of people use cotton with them as well.

I don't see me using mesh or the Sophia either. :)

I would not suggest you try drilling out air holes yourself either, too easy to mess up a cap, if you want to do it find someone you trust in the vaping community and ask them to do it for you.

Don't you have to use stainless steel mesh with a genny? I heard those were harder to get going well. A group of the Provari people are using the Sophia, with the ceramic cup. The byLeo stuff. The ones using them love them.

I can not see me doing ss mesh or ceramic. I can not see me doing a carto tank either. Too much more to learn at one time. Already have too many things with lots of little pieces.

I took it out of the box and looked it over, and looked over all the extra goodies that came with it. I watch Pbusardo's video on it and 2 others. Thought about it. Unscrewed a couple of the pieces and then decided that I need to do this when I have a good couple of hours to concentrate just on the Russian.

I built a coil for the Octopus instead and rewicked my Igo-L. I am trying to get a 2.0 or 2.2ohm coil perfect and figure out the amount of cotton to use before I commit.

You all know that I abhor change and move on making decisions real real slow. I am thrilled that I can whip out a coil in under 5 minutes. I just have not yet been able to get to the magic ohms number. First one was a mess, could not get it nice and straight and tight, then I could not get it mounted. Got it secured, I thought so cut the extra legs. Then one end fell off and I could not get it reattached. So in the garbage.

Second one came in at 1.6ohms but used the wrong rod so was a nano coil. Wrapped the cotton around it and vaped it for a day and a half with lousy flavor and almost no vapor.

Third one we won't talk about. Fourth one went from 28ga to 30ga kanthal and from 11 wraps to 14 wraps. It came in at 3.0ohms. That one I am vaping on the Octopus. It was a royal PITA to mount. I thought the little hand turned screws would make it easier, but I found the Igo-L with the screw driver was easier to attach the coil. Go figure.

The Russian will be conquered over the weekend. Lots of little parts, which is my least favorite thing to deal with. Also, I need to decide what juice I like enough to fill the thing with 4ml of juice. Big decisions.

Shari,

The easiest way to get the resistance you want is to use the length of the wire you wrap. Rather than keeping track of diameter, number of turns, etc. it's much easier to measure out (for example) 2" of wire, add room for legs, and just wrap that length (2") around whatever coil form you're using. When you run out of the wire, just stop.

Can't do the measurements at the moment (just have a minute) but I'll elaborate more a bit later.

Aik,

That's exactly how I do it. All you need to do is remember how long the wire is for the resistance you want and leave about 1/4 inch for the leads to thread into the posts and you're perfect every time.

Did you check the Tetra Vape contest thread?

Yeah Aik, we're just screwing with you. In reality it's hard as hell. If you're not well-founded in non-euclidian geometry, partial-differential calculus and quantum mechanics, you really don't stand a chance.

(Unless you can master the complex workings of a ruler). ;-)

Lol, the calculus was easy for me, the hard part was understanding how to use the Force to manipulate dark matter so it bends string theory around my drill bit!!

YUP! And I'm a WINNER!!!

I'm selected to test flavors in exchange for reviews. Wish me luck since I've never tried to write decent reviews before. But I think this'll free up some cash to get another protank2 (or two) with aero bases (I've heard that combo is as good as the aerotank - but I like the aerotank's style better, oh well).

Spike is high on my list to see if their cinnamon process works with cinnamon sensitivity.

We've got several ppl in here that have been selected as testers ... LOX?

Too funny.

I'm not sure I can figure out a ruler anymore since I'm seriously challenged by figuring out percentages / drops per ml to the point that I'm ready to start asking a 6th grader to help me. I'm thoroughly embarrassed. They have spell-checks, why not math-checks?

I've read so-called "simple" equations over and over and over a thousand times and can't remember a :censored: thing. The formulas I want to use need to be simplified for online calculators, then expanded again for actual use - so I have to have some understanding.

Quantum mechanics and dark matter would be a piece of cake since the results are usually unknown, abstract, and void of expectations. That I can grasp. This? It's supposed to be solid, black and white, reliable, accurate and linear. I HATE linear thinking. Give me PICTURES. Please. Written/verbal instructions have always been hard to visualize - yes, I need to translate them first in order to understand them. UUUUGGGGHHHH.

No more "simple" math for me at the moment. Kidding. This is my rant for the day. It'll be a good day if it's my only one.

TGIF!

Just an idea and something I've done before making a purchase is to check the classies on whatever I'm interested in. Often the prices listed are comparable to lowest price possible - if there's been a coop ended recently, there's a good chance a few of those might be listed for the same coop price (without the wait) AND pictures. Very GOOD pictures of the actual item showing the details, sometimes what it looks like on set-ups. PPl are quick to point of clones, variations in versions and it's a FAST overview. A lot faster than reading 100-300 pages in a thread (ugh).

Just my :2c: May not work for everyone.

Does that work on the iphone?

Oh yea - I need a new phone too and I've been putting that off for 6 months. That adds another ugh since most of the great apps require jailbreaking which puts a chill down my spine. Esp on a $200-$300 device. I remember there was a time I used to love new gadgets. Now I dread them.

Do you know phones?
