Still smoking support and chat thread

We are not only frustrated, but confused. A couple contractors tell us we can refinish, then a couple others say we must replace. I am going to call the insurance company and have them send another adjuster out to look at the kitchen hardwood. We need to get this done, NOW. We were going crazy slowly. The pace is increasing.

My grandson (4 months old) will be in high school by the time we get to meet him if this keeps up.

DH wants to save money and refinish. Contractors are saying replace or we won't be able to sell the house down the road because of the possibility of mold under the hardwood. So confused.

Lox, thank you for this detailed answer. I am going to make DH read this tomorrow morning. Several try to explain and when they see DH waffling on replacing they start pushing refinish. I am going nuts. I like to save a dollar (thousands here) as much as the next person, but it needs to be done right and I do not want to live in a house with mold, especially if I can not see it. DH thinks if he can not see it, it is not there. Hard to deal with someone with that mindset. He is in avoidance and will worry about it later. I do not want that. So, it goes on.

Shari he's right. Once it's "cupped" you'll never get a consistent finish. I myself wouldn't use a contractor who said it could be done. He obviously has no pride in a job done right.

So, contractor who did not show up yesterday showed up today and we all had a long conversation. DH is convinced (albeit not happy about) that we have to replace the whole kitchen hardwood. Yay! I called the Ins. claims rep and she is going to send an adjuster out to make sure that our hardwood is hardwood and not engineered and giving us the funds to take out the other lower cabinets too so that hardwood under the cabinets can be replaced. Contractor will be here to talk to adjuster so hopefully this will work out good for us. What a nightmare! But progress has definitely been made.

So now I have to go find more boxes and more places to put all contents of all lower kitchen cabinets and the contents of a large walk in pantry that is getting new hardwood. I might as well be packing to move at this point.

Still waiting on some cards to arrive.

I forgot to charge my batteries. Im now stuck using either my k100 or k1000 as the only charged batteries I have are 18350.

Tried to place a order for a custom gaming laptop Last night. Declined. Called bank today and increased my spending limit so that wouldn't stop it. Still wouldn't process. Called bank again. They have no record of any attempts to charge the amount for the laptop.

Talk to customer support and told to call the number I just called. Asked to be tranafered to a agent so I don't mess up the options. Transfered, and agent has issues placing the order. Transferred to supervisor t Manually approve the transaction.

In two weeks I will have a new gaming laptop.

TIL (Today I learned) my protank does not like high power vaping. 30 watts on a protank. 4 draws and its leaking out of the bottom. My hypertank that is pretty much the same, same coils even, but 5ml doesnt leak.odd.

Gotta clean the house before I can play with my new evic more. Gf took it away.

Insurance adjuster will be here at 10am tomorrow. Lesson learned. Best time to have a disaster is when no one else is having one. At least you get the service you are paying for. We will see what the outcome is.

I have both of my Russians washed and drying. New builds tonight or tomorrow. I think I may have to have the airhole in my Igo-L drilled out. I do not know how so I will go hunting here on ECF to find out how. Wonder if I can do it myself.

I am tired, so tired and can barely keep up with anything, I hate it. anyway, I have to go out at some point today, Lox , I have to mail your box out, I have just been too tired and have no energy, but I will try again today. I might just have to call for them to pick it up and finally you will get it, I am really sorry, it weighs on my mind daily.

Love you all glad that all of you (sorry LOX I don't know why you haven't been luck y yet, you will get some huge win, I just know it!) have been winning stuff, I had slowed it down since I had gotten a few nice things, I started up again though, some things are so appealing! LOL Fickle old lady here. I want more DNA chip mods for sure they are the bomb!

I haven't been on here in awhile bc I've been busy in the contests thread myself.

In the last 3 months, since I started vaping, I spent $628 on equipment & juice! I used to only spend $68 a month on analogs.

Besides being broke and not having quit smoking completely yet, I was getting discouraged. Then, I won 5 contests!

I see all this generosity as a positive sign. I can't wait to get home to my precious vape mail!

I mostly seem to win store credits. Causing me to spend almost double the credit every time. Grr. Im now starting to frett over what flavors I will take with me when child has surgery next Month. And of course visit the vape shops in town. Hopefully they have better flavors, maybe some "high end" brands you can sample. Hopefully they are more than a starter kit ego/protank store.

Still waiting to hear back from the hospital administration to see if I can convince them to allow ecigs on property. If not ill try talking to them once im there. When im there its hard to ignore me, my parents badge opens most doors in the hospital (experience from wandering around).

The wins seem to come in large numbers.. I know some people win like all the time, but I really only dedicate about an hour a day with the contests so, can't complian!
