JohnTodd, I'm glad you found what works. That stuff was truly miraculous for me.

Aik, you're another one who helped hold me up! Glad to see some familiar faces and the new friends checking in.

Still hanging in there, nothing much to report, just taking it moment by moment over here.

Well I've been at this for over a year now and usually that would amount to "failure" but knowing you took longer than a year, has helped me to keep going.

No you are not crazy, Etherealink. That is the proper advice.

But for me, I have one of those little black box ohm meters that I check the coil on, then I put it right on my Provari and check the coil again. I do not have a multimeter. I use my Provari to check my battery levels and resistance.

I also have the Russian 91% and find the deck is large and the two posts are easy to build on. Easier than my Igo-L which is tiny for me. And forget rebuilding the Protank coils. That is hard for me. Too many itsy, bitsy pieces and I can not get my hands to do that tiny stuff. Or my eyes. The confusing thing for me in the beginning was how many pieces the Russian broke down to. Had to keep the picture of it in front of me the first couple of times I took it apart. Never could put a bicycle together......

Hey Shari-

Just a heads up, my ohm reader tends to be a bit off... but since you double-check with another "known to work"device its still OK.

Not sure if the vv3 he is using can do that, therefore I suggested the meter.

Your Russian is bigger on the deck than an igo? I may have to check that out once I get my new black kfl and fogger running [emoji16]

The KFL and the Russian are practically twins and the decks will be the same so you will know sooner than you think. Where did you get your KFL? Do you know who made it? There are so many clones out there that it is hard to keep up with it. Some are made better than others. The Fogger V4? I heard those are real nice and a great vape.

I have 2 tobeco clones an hcigar (my fave) and an ehpro on the way. Don't remember who makes the fogger I have to look again since I haven't ordered it yet.

The tobeco is usable but you have to watch the positive pin insulator as it rips easy; the hcigar is a dream if you get the wicking right, with no adjustable airflow and the ehpro is still on the way.

If they are that similar I might order a russian clone and see how that goes. Do you still need to wick slightly into the juice channels?

*Edit* The fogger in question is the big Fogger, meant for a 26640 Helmsman if I like the fit & feel of both...

Etherealink. I just found a Russian 91% by Kebo (an original, not clone) link in another thread. It looks like it is a version 2 with the version 1 center pin, which is the one you want. They want $75.99 for it. That is a great, great price for it. Everywhere else lately they are over $100. Here is the link.

The Russian 91% RDA Rebuildable Atomizer By Kebo

I know a couple of people that say that the Black Edition Kayfun Lite is better than the original. They have the one from Artemus Custom Mod Creations. I am thinking about getting one.

Great link, I will check that out with an upcoming bonus. And my black kfl+ is sadly not expected to be in that quality range but with a biy of tweaking I can make it vape like it is lol

Hell, I've been "smoke free" for almost a year and I'm still not smoke free. I've been vaping long enough to rationally know the benefits, but that addictive personality thing is still going strong, and I've been in a constant state of falling off and jumping back on the wagon. So just keep taking those baby steps, lady, and remember that today you are in a better place.

UNCLE!!! :hubba: Wish I had some words of wisdom for you, since you always have some for me when I need them. Just know that I am thinking of you, and I know your strength. If anyone can find a solution you can!!

Hi, all my friends! I made it to ONE YEAR today!!!!!!! I am so proud of myself and I feel great as far as breathing and not wanting to smoke go. I bought myself 4 new 18490 batteries for my 2 Provari Minis and I am going to buy a Black Edition Kayfun and some more Ahlusion juice to celebrate.

I have read a few glowing reviews and posts about the Magma dripper and I am considering getting one of those. The 510 attys have been losing their charm with me these past couple of months. I am obsessed with my Russian 91s and so that limits me to only running 2 tanks of different flavors at a time.

It is wonderful to have such trivial vaping problems finally. I have no thoughts at all about having a cigarette anymore. But I am vaping as much or more than I was smoking, especially with the remodel going on.

The refrigerator got fixed; the hardwood in the kitchen is finally just perfect and beautiful. Cabinets are to be installed Thursday and the granite at the end of the month. Then appliances. Then the living room gets started. Still a month to go.

Hopefully once September gets here I can plan the trip to meet my new grandson. He is not so new anymore. lol
Yay! Congrats on the one year! What an accomplishment, :rickroll::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Great stuff ethereal. :)

I found with my Reos that using a big bore 1.5" tall drip tip cools the vape off nicely even with the twisted 28g micro coil at .7 ohms
I'm using Gallery Tips big bore tips and yes they are huge but they sure do cool off the vape and deliver a lot of flavor.

Also once I started wrapping coils and getting into the hobby side of vaping the craving for a smoke went away completely. :)

OK, so the Catz clone is a workable dripper but to match the airflow I will have to be around .6 ohms or just above, meaning 28ga is going to be the minimum gauge that I can use due to the size of the deck and depth of the drip well.

The build I went with was a net .46 ohms...

The vapor production was very high but sadly, so was the temp of the vape. Not something I would recommend unless you want a *very* warm vape coming out of a fog machine.

Overall, its still a good clone but the depth of the drip well makes it very difficult to build and can be very tricky to match air/vapor production and not be very hot.

*Edit* Still working on figuring out how to link pics from another site instead of hosting directly on ECF...

Shari-

Got up early and started chasing down an RBA when I saw this and thought of you and your Russian problems:

http://www.vapordna.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=BR0001

Its a Russian with a fixed center pin, whether that means they fixed it or its fixed as in doesn't move I don't know...

Its just a v1 center pin [emoji42]

Thanks Shari, he'll be ok, actually it relieves me of feeling like I have to go with him when I know it is way too hot for me.
This is all part of the racing game, parts break. He will be busy for a while tearing it down to see exactly what went wrong and how much he can save, if anything, and then planning the fix. Depending on how bad he also is going to have to get busy selling some things to pay for the fix. 1949 Studebaker that runs anyone? How about a skid steer loader, or a racing go kart?

Oh no, Claudia! I am so sorry to hear that Cliff blew up another motor. I hear that that is not an uncommon occurrence in car racing, but for it to happen so early in the season is really a shame. Now what are you going to do with him all summer?

Yes, it happened while he was doing his burnout. There isn't anything like you mention available at the sportsmen's level in drag racing so he is just going to have to sell some things and do it little by little as he gets the money. All of his friends already have their own drag cars.

YIKES! Was he driving? That's scary and devastating. Wonder if there's an engine builder who might be enticed to partner up? We lost a mustang to a fire once and ended up holding a wake. Sounds strange, but not to the guys involved. Getting a partner really helped manage the costs. Gotta be the right one though, but that's how we were able to get back out to the track (and still make the mortgage pymt).

Hi all. Just taking a peek in here to see if I missed anything. New cabinets come in tomorrow morning so I will give you all an update.

We are still bleeding money with this remodel. The contractor disposed of the 5 foot long wood countertop that went on top of the cabinets in the hall that made up a desk. We were keeping that. No solution yet, but he is going to pay for the replacement top whether he wants to or not.

I can not and will not sustain angry. Just not good for me or anyone around me. I am rolling with the flow as best I can.

I am good with my vaping right now and thank goodness and the man upstairs for that. If I was smoking now I would be sicker than a dog with the coughing. It took me several months and several crisis to realize that I could face most anything without a cigarette. Some shaky ground here and there, but my stubbornness won out in the end.

I wish I could do this with food and the peanut butter cups. I try and I can not seem to substitute healthy food for the treats when I am stressed. So that is my ongoing project and I am not as successful there.
