Im here, child lost a phone charger plug. 6foot cord and its just GONE. No clue where he stuck it. Ive checked everywhere including the heat vents. So girlfriend and I are sharing a charger. Child wants to watch more of his cartoons on my tv instead of his room so I have less time to post. I read mist of what's posted. Typing a post at 15% % battery is a risk of battery dyibg quickly. I tend to get distracted while typing my response. Aikanae, im willing to be a guinea pig. . And ill even have my friends try them too lol. Anything that is shipped to me I have my friends try a drip ir two so they can expand thier catalog of flavors they like ir dislike and order what they want.

I know I'm one of the new folks here but what the hell I'll throw my hat in for ginuea pig pen pall. Sorry, was a rough night here, actually had to drive the truck (a spare at that) from the mine back to our yard with no headlights or lights of any kind on the tractor... not cool.

While I intend to get a tester I'm pretty sure testing the ohms using a ProVari is as safe if not safer, most of those ohm testers are pretty cheap and I wonder if their QC is anywhere near as good as ProVari. Until I get a good feel for the battery life I am putting the battery from the mech in either the ProVari or the SID to check volts periodically, it's kind of a pain but since I don't have an inline tester yet it at least tells me what I need to know.

I am using only IMR 18650 and 18490/18500 batteries, AW, EH, and EFest.

I'm getting more comfortable with the Neme but still staying on top of the battery.

Shari I think it is probably a good idea for you to keep with your plan since the batteries can become dangerous if you completely discharge them, either that or be sure to get a kick that will keep that from happening. I am pretty sure I am going to get a kick not only for the peace of mind but to be able to regulate wattage.

I use an unprotected 18350 battery in my Gripper and I'm not worried about it. That's all I'd use in any mech and I'd aim around 1.7 - 2.0 with coils. Average all the way. I would get a seperate tester rather than using one of my mods though.

YMMV but I suspect eliquids using alcohol burn my mouth too. Rather severely. Took a week to heal.

I would love to talk about the skating except that I only was able to see little snippets of it. The power outages kept me awake most of Wednesday night and I finally gave up and got up before 6 yesterday, after only about 3 hours sleep and every time I would sit down to watch last night I'd fall asleep. lol

I caught some of the Olympics tonight too. I would like to talk about the ice skating but will not spill the beans for those who watch via DVR.

I've pretty much decided to stay with the drippers for now, my favorite so far being the Origen clone which holds quite a bit of juice. I'm not patient enough for the little ones. I can vape for quite a while using the Trident and about twice as long with the Origen and am still using the Aspire ET-S when I'm out and about. I switch flavors so often that I just don't think a big tank would make me happy.

How funny. We must have seen the same post. I just got off the site after watching the video on rebuilding the little guy. Looks almost like the build of an evod head. Too small for me. I just got an Igo-L and like the taste from it. I am going to play with that one for a while to get my coil winding practice in. I am involved in a Russian 91% purchase that has a good 12 week wait for arrival (I know. I am nuts to wait that long for something that I do not know if I am going to be able to use) Hopefully by then I will be a lean, mean, coil winding machine. lol That Dripper Pro would look sweet on my provari mini, but price is too dear and I am hopeful I can do coils for a tank style Kayfun type (Russian) so I can go all day without a care to dripping but keep the flavor up there. Thanks for that link.

Yep I know I'm weary from the weather and when it settles down we've got a LOT of limbs from the Magnolia to drag out to the road for the city to pick up. All night Wednesday you would hear a loud crack and another big limb would fall from the heavy wet snow on it. This morning we are approaching the "giant washing machine overflowed and spilled soap suds" look outside as the snow melts. We got probably 8 or 9 inches that after a full day of sunshine and mid 40's didn't even all melt off the roofs. At least the limbs that broke off the Magnolia seem to have done it in a balanced way so the tree still looks good, just thinned out a bit. It is a huge mature tree and I would have been heartbroken to have lost it.

I think the biggest mishap here was finding the wick that I was putting in the Origen when the power went out and I jumped, I was just inserting it into the coil and it went flying. Want some fun try putting a cotton wick through a vertical micro coil by flashlight.

I think everyone is pretty weary and weather beaten from these past couple of weeks, actually this whole winter, for some. I know I am spending a good portion of my day arguing with the insurance company and on the hunt for contractors for floors, islands, granite, etc. Either they are book for a few months or want to charge to come measure, or do not want the size of job this is. The insurance company sucks. I am having to argue for a week to get each line item corrected or increased in dollar amount. I am exhausted and it is just beginning. Ugh.

Hopefully our people are warm and safe in their homes. We will hear from them soon, I hope.

Note that the rocket (That particular one, at least) doesn't take standard drip tips!!!

Yea, but there are ways around that. What's worse is that it's one of the elusive colors in drip tips. There's pinks, violets and purples that just don't exist in drip tips.

Not sure the kick has over discharge protection, I thought it only gave you variable voltage...

I'm not sure if they all do but the ones I am looking at do, I wouldn't consider it otherwise. I just have to figure out exactly which one I want to get, there are several different ones. I would imagine that the first generation kick didn't offer short circuit and battery protection but the newer ones do.

I research these things before I make a decision, I never buy anything blindly, if I don't know what I'm doing I make sure to learn before buying.

OK, I was looking at both the trident and the origin, would love an opinion on them since you have both and maybe a peek at how you're setting them up since I'm interested in the micro coil idea.

Anyway, morning folks and happy v-day. Looks like tonight will be another disaster at work with the weather if my truck doesn't come back from the tarp shop.

Somehow the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the truck that lost its lights last night and cost me two loads... I think it needs a greasy rag to fix it.

That blue is stunning. I've seen several of those and they are definatley tried and true, beautiful mods. It should last a long time. They last well over a year and still go strong. That's why I like the K100 so much.

Isn't there something like a "safe fuse" that prevents batteries from shorting out and venting? I know I've seen something for apx $4 that fits in all mods vs the kick. Idk if they do the same things.

Efeast has a new super charged 18350. Yippeee except I think it's only higher amps, still 800 mah which isn't going to help me out much if I'm not a power vapor (not). I think I'm understanding that right.

and double yeah. The entire second season of House of Cards has been released (for the snowbound?).

It's over 80F again.

I found a K100 full kit at the local B&M - mod, batteries, charger, carto, case - the full shebang!

I have the Trident set up with a single microcoil at 1.4 ohms and a cotton wick and I have the Origen set up with a single vertical micro coil at 1.4 ohms with cotton wick. I would love to tell you how many wraps of 28 g kanthal if I could but I can't count them and can't keep track when I'm wrapping either. The Origen clone doesn't have a single coil air hole option, it was supposed to and someone made a mistake but it's no biggie I have mine set at the second largest hole and the flavor and vapor are great, if you want to do a single and use the largest hole for an airier vape just use a tiny piece of tape and cover the air hole farthest from the coil, or you could close one of the three sets of holes on the inside if you are handy that way, I'm not.

I like both of them with a slight preference for the Origen, it has two juice wells and with a vertical coil you have the wick dipping in both so wicking is great. I prefer a single coil because I am not trying to fog the world and a dual coil uses more juice and power and you need to use smaller diameter wire or it just takes too much to heat up that much wire. I assume you know about dual vs single coils, if not say so. :)
The pic I posted of my first coil was on the Origen.

That said run 1 of the Origen clones is long gone and round 2 hasn't been made yet and there is a pre order for them, you can get the authentic though and I may cough up the money for one but they are pricey. The Trident clones are pretty good and easy to find.

OK, I was looking at both the trident and the origin, would love an opinion on them since you have both and maybe a peek at how you're setting them up since I'm interested in the micro coil idea.

Ok I need to go to the store, BBL. :)

The pic here is showing a vape safe fuse included in the kit. :)

I am seriously thinking about getting one of those for out and about, I do like the looks a lot. The only solution for the 18350 batteries that I know of is to safely carry spares, there is just no way to extend the life on batteries that small. I have a bunch of battery cases I keep mine in, they are cheap cheap cheap and I just order a couple when I'm placing an order for other things. Never ever carry any batteries loose in a pocket or purse, that is how they catch fire, touching keys or other metals. For $1.35 for a battery case there really isn't any excuse not to carry them safely.

I carry 4 around with me in a case.

These are the new purple ones rated around 10.5 amps (continuous). At least there's movement in developing that size further. I don't think any of the flashlight forums have them in hand yet to do testing on them. The mah rating isn't improved and I'm guessing that's what I need. It's going to make a lot of the smaller mech's more popular among the sub ohm crowd. One of the local B&M popular cloud chasing stores has an order of 200 coming in (A LOT for here). No one in town carried the red 18350 previously.

I guess I'm afraid I'm going to get stuck with that battery if I ever need one on the fly locally.

Good eyes. Good kit too.

Sold! Thanks for confirming that's the right kind of fuse Claudia. The fact that it comes with batteries and charger were what really caught my eye. Other mech mods are nice, but I didn't want to have to nickel and dime to make them ready to go. This is a really convenient kit.

Should be in my hands in about an hour :)
