Oh no Shari, I just can't click like on this one. I wish I had the answers for you, but I think that should be ok as long as the pipes are drained.

We were wondering why the sunroom has been getting colder and colder, especially all day today. DH went upstairs and it is 57 degrees up there. The upstairs furnace is not working. Period. Now have to worry about the same pipes that burst 1/7 bursting again. We can shut off water up there. Does anyone know if we drain pipes by flushing toilet and running water until it goes dry???

DH is on phone to friend but they are trouble shooting electric and heating unit. I am worried about more pipes bursting. I can not stand this anymore.

Kitty went back to vet and had her steroid shot this afternoon. So we wait to see if her chin heals.

We had a 30 year old raised ranch back in CT with original furnace. A good quality track home (about 24 or so homes). We never had this much trouble as we are having with this individual site built home that is 10 years old which we bought new.

I do not know what to do. DH says he does not think water from 1/7 got to furnace upstairs. Heating and air company did winter check on it in December and they said it was working fine.

Hi everybody! I'm new to the thread, but since I still smoke at work I figured this might be where I belong. :)

Welcome to the area where the rest of us hang out.
Hi I'm Mark and I'm addicted to nicotine and not ashamed of it. I still smoke an occasional cigarette because I just do.

Karen, that is absolutely amazing news - congratulations! Hopefully the wheels of government will drink some coffee!

Johnnie, welcome to the group - there's not a better bunch of people anywhere on this already awesome forum!

For me, the little bit of sunshine today wasn't enough to warm up the pickup. I've got the additive in, but the batteries are so cold, they can't give enough power to turn it over. Luckily it's a "spare" vehicle, and we have the Jeep and Saturn to get us around.

I have been busy trying to get quotes and appts for estimates for the kitchen hardwood floors and island. Have had 2 kitchen and floor people tell me that they can not schedule any job with us for at least 3 months. One told me today that there were 40,000 damage and water claims just in middle TN, his work area. He has 72 open jobs and a handful are still under water and out of their homes. This is from the freeze back on 1/7.

Hi Johnnie and welcome to the thread. A lot of us still smoke and vape. I have been able to remain cigarette free for almost 7 months but do not know if I have retained my sanity or not. It seems like most of us who find our way here have been smokers for a long time and it has become a part of us. Even when we are successful with the vaping. You will love it here. Pull up a chair and share your story with us. What equipment are you using and what flavors are you vaping?

I am using Vision Spinners, an MVP2 and I recently got myself a Provari Mini. Love them all and use them all. I like dripping into a simple disposable Joye 510 atty but have recently gotten an Igo-L RBA. Going to learn how to build a coil, I think.

Thanks! I am just really relieved, the day was a relief! Now I just have to wait for letter they already mailed for the next step.

Hi Shari! I only vape pure menthol liquids, the stronger the better. My favorite these days is Arctic Wolf by Vapor God. It's the best menthol I've tried to date. The coldest too.

As for.devices, my favorite is the eRoll. I also have a modified eGo-C base for dripping on my Echo, a Terminator RDA tank on the iSmoka and a Smileomizer that I'm trying out. Like my signature says, I only use automatics. I do not enjoy the draw on manuals at all.

Hi Johnnie, Welcome!!! I'm still having problems giving the analogs up completely too. But I'm celebrating how few of them I have now. A pack lasts me a whole week!

Congrats! I usually go through a pack a night on my work days, though I do share them with co-workers. I used to smoke 3 packs a day, so I'm pretty happy with only 3 packs a week. :)

I'm starting to dabble with WTA to see if I can make those last 3 packs go away.

Hi Mark! I still smoke at work because one of my friends smokes my brand. Really hoping I can get away from that, but only because I quit smoking to improve the health of my family. I'm happy being addicted to the nicotine. :)

I started vaping to cut back, not quit. It was on a whim, never considered it'd lead to being tobacco free eventually.
Once I found THE flavor for me I actually prefer it over cigarettes now. When I say occasionally I mean about 2-3 cigarettes a week vs the pack a day I used to smoke. I only smoke one every few days and then it's a thing of an old habit I didn't realize I still have sneaking back in. I like tobacco smoke taste but like Cherrywood juice better. I also get to get the tastes of chocolates, creams and fruits without the calories do there's that health benefit. It's kinda funny I'm more happy about it helping with my weight health than lung health.

We have been talking tonight about getting this huge house fixed and then downsizing. Thinking of looking into maybe Tacoma, WA where my son is or maybe somewhere in Florida. I have never been to Florida so only know that it is very hot and humid in summer and has hurricanes. Would not consider Miami area, too south but think either coast may be possible.

Karen, I do not remember. If I have no income, am I eligible for Obamacare in Florida? I am pretty sure I am in WA state. I am sol in TN. Also wondering if retirement community setup or a single residence. DH is 50 and all property would be in his name. I am 57 but would not own the place.

I feel like Dorothy being transported to Oz.

yes on Obama care, maybe even Medicaid instead of Obama Care, and Food Stamps too. So many retirement communities, you have to research locations.

Johnnie! Work is a hard one for me also ... I've found that I've come to rely on those 3-5 minute smoke breaks for my sanity.

Shari, a lot of 55 (and over) communities only require that one person be at least 55 to qualify. This might be the perfect opportunity for you to get your name added (you could be on the deed, but not on the mortgage which equals = you own, but don't owe), and that way you'd have a bit of security should anything happen to DH.

Yes, Florida can be hot and humid in the summer, but honestly I've found it no worse than many other states, such as Ohio or the Carolina's. I've never much cared for the east coast of FL., but I love it here on the west coast.
