Aik!!!!! I keep thinking I'm going to try snus but then I never do. Must put on shopping list. No spitting right? Lol that would not go over well at work.

I just got a new job with (for me) crazy long hours, and way more responsibility than I'm used to, so my first week (last week) was a super stressful week. I used 2 or 3 packets (maybe more?) and no one even noticed. I didn't use it on the showroom floor, but while I was in the office talking with all the admins and getting myself set up and learning my way around. It's really discreet. Just find a private place to pull it out to dispose of it. That's not the prettiest thing in the world the first few times, lol!

May you get 8 hours of sleep in 4 then. LOL! A familar wish on this end..

Yes try the snus. General mini packets and I got nordic mint. I'm not a menthol smoker (hate it) so it's not minty or menthol. It'll set you back apx $5 for 12 packets. No one will know - work safe. Not messy. Just kinda weird as anything new is. I had to over come all sorts of brainwashed messages to give them a go. I wish I'd tried them earlier.

No one around here carries the mini mints...I've been wanting to try, but everywhere I go they just have the rounded off rectangle, or the round tins (they don't say "mini mint" on them). I've gotten used to the size (about 3/4" long by about 1/2" wide). I use mine in my lower lip, way back by my molars. My favorite so far has been Wintergreen. Tried the original once and it wasn't that great.

Good on you. Glad you are doing better. This thread must be helping too lol I know it has helped me.

I have a juice that I make that goes well with some Earl Grey tea. Wondering do you have other flavors you prefer with tea? Is it just you and me that have a juice/tea combination, or do you other vapers also have a tea/juice combo?
And isn't it weird the flavor of the tea and certain juices really complement each other and enhance one another? I haven't quite found that with coffee yet. Or any other food/drink for that matter.

Well probably my most favorite addiction is Twinings English Breakfast Tea... solving my dehydration/electrolyte problem required going from 10 to just 2 or 3 cups of it per day, dang it, so those couple in the morning, I really savor. I *always* had this thing with those really little blueberry streusel muffins, and that tea -- the flavors are *perfect* together. But I had to stop buying those stupid muffins, because everytime I eat *ONE* I just can't stop till I've gained 30 lbs and suddenly see myself in a mirror and just scream. So finding this ejuice has been a dream come true for me, and I'm *delighted* to find that I get exactly the same flavor combo effect from the ejuice, as I do from the real [fattening and addictive] muffins.

We went to Vaping Shack tonight, so I could buy some more of it -- my original 15ml was down to about half a ml.

I think it's saving my rear... to be completely honest. The last time I had a tooth removed I suffered a dry socket because I was a heavy smoker and didn't listen to my dentist when he said not to smoke. I was young and dumb and it was about 12 years ago.

I totally understand why people go sub ohm and it was fun while I tried it but at the end of the day my mouth/taste buds aren't sensitive enough to tell the difference. I think I am going to shy away from my genesis RBA's for now and mess with some cotton. Still waiting for the WTA juice to arrive, says it's shipped so now I have to stalk the mailman.

You should read my post a few days ago. That igo-l did help me avoid dry socket. Though I wouldn't be quick to make any guarantees on that. YMMV (your mileage may vary). However, it did help me get better on track with vaping rather than smoking. I knew if I smoked I would be risking dry socket.
And even though I still smoke some here and there, the tooth extraction really has had a marked difference in how much I vape vs smoke now.

I feel you on not staying on the sub-ohm. I still use my sub ohm build, but even with that, I tend to stay around .5. I tried going down to .2 but just didn't like it. I mean it was nice to do it just to have that sense of accomplishment and to be able to say I did it. But I sub at .5 but my tanks are actually around 1 ohm. I don't have anything other than mechs that will run anything lower than 1.5, so I keep a 1.5 around for my Zmax. It seems to vape just fine.

But that is the whole point. You keep trying stuff out till you find out what works for you. That is the both the trick and the fun part about vaping.
A friend and I were just discussing that we actually have different gear setups for different situations. What works at my desk doesn't work when I am out and about..

Need a little feedback. My provari and r91 have been vaping wonderful with a 2.0ohm coil and sterile cotton at 3.6 volts. I am using my Caramel Pear Black Tea at 70/30. Wonderful. In the air conditioned house.

Took my setup out with me today and it almost stopped producing vapor and lost taste. Had no tools on me to fiddle so I had a horrible vape day. Lousy in air conditioned car and outside in mid 80s with fairly high humidity. What is up?

About an hour after I got back home in my controlled environment all went back to great vape. I am sure it is the difference in temp, etc. But, how do I fix it? I thought I found my perfect all around vape setup with the provari and r91. Don't want to drip on the go.

Any comments on this would be appreciated.

Did you maybe have it laying on its side? Maybe wasn't wicking?

I'm thinking it may be something about the ambient humidity outdoors (massive!) compared to that inside an air-conditioned (de-humidified) place. Because I also notice that when I'm out, there does seem to be somewhat less vapor; I usually turn my mod up another .5 watt to kinda make up for it.

Just throwing this out there for conversation sake.
I do not recommend anyone get into sub-ohming unless they take the time, talk to a few people experienced with it and do a lot of research first.
BUT

The RDA I used after my tooth extraction. It is an IGO-L. The airholes are too tiny for me stock. I actually have a couple IGO-Ls. This one I have drilled out to what I think is about 1/8 inch. And I have opposing holes. SUPER air flow. The difference is my coil is 0.54 ohm resistance. That translates to about 32.6 watts. Not too airy at all.
But if your air hole is lined up right with your coil, it will also increase heat and vapor production.

(originally, I had drilled the second hole for the purposes of dual-coiling. But lately just been running one coil in everything. If I dualed that build, it would be at somewhere around 0.25 and that isn't a comfortable vape for me. )

I absolutely agree with 90% of this, with the exception of the opposing airholes since I have no experience with that.

If you, or anyone else, is going to vape sub-ohm there is a major amount of planning and safety that needs to go into it. Let's face it, a battery that goes thermal inside a solid piece of brass or stainless steel is more or less a hand grenade. Even having a battery short (possible with any atomiser, not just rebuildables) can bring the battery and mod to a skin scorching temperature in the blink of an eye.

If you are even considering vaping at or below 1 ohm, do the research and always verify with more than one device (they can fail without warning, including multimeters).

No reason to blow yourself up just to blow clouds... be safe first.

I know exactly what you mean here. I have an igo-w set up with an alternate top cap just so I can get major air and show off to smokers with big clouds lol.

The r91 and Kayfun are the same design, hence regulated by a change in air pressure to control the wicking. Maybe the change in humidity had something to do with it and the fact that you had the draw set up for different conditions (I assume would only happen with controlled airflow like an r91 or Kayfun).

I know from my house that negative pressure inside won't allow heat to escape when the outside air is cooler. I have to break the "envelope" (use a fan pointed outwards). It might be something like that only in reverse??? I know from flying that pressure does weird things to fluids. Sometimes every can we'd open would be a fountain like diet coke + mentos. Other times, nothing would come out without poking another hole in the can. I never tried to figure it out beyond what to do.

Still that doesn't say how to fix it. Remove the drip tip? (early clearos didn't have removable tips due to air pressure). Hopefully, whatever is causing the problem is transitory. It might not happen again if it's related to air pressure.

Oh yea, one more thought. Did the weatherperson say anything about having an extreme low or high pressure? IDK, that may make a difference too. Whatever, cross your fingers it doesn't happen often.

My issue lately, I think, has been partly due to my latest sinus/head cold (thanks weather patterns) and may explain why my beloved Tigers Blood sometimes tastes like chewing on a Dum-Dum stick.

My thought on fixing it is to change your airflow dramatically and then pull it back after a few hits to break the vacuum idea.

Is that possible in a Russian 91%? It was almost full so the wick should have been wet even on its side I would think.

Kitchen update. Warning. This may be a long post that may turn into a rant.

We have granite in the kitchen. It is beyond beautiful. Yesterday we spent most of the day up in Nashville because they sold the slab we bought so the owner sent us to a couple of other places to find something we liked. Most was too black, too brown, or boring. So we went back to our granite place and we walked the lot and found 2 beautiful slabs and it was installed this morning. After the guys (4 of them) left we just admired the kitchen. Then, this evening I started wiping it all down and found 2 good size chips and a real long crack in the 4ft piece next to the refrigerator. Bad crack that could not be seen because of the complexity of the graining but can be felt and seen close up. There are 2 big, deep gouges in my brand new hardwood floor where the barstools will be. My poor hardwood floor. And gouges in the sides of the 10ft wall of cabinets. They must have had trouble fitting the 5ft piece in.

The invoice was $800 more than the original invoice. They said we gave them wrong sq ft before. They had a diagram with measurements when they made original invoice so we were surprised there. They gave us $500 off for selling our slab so we were caught off guard. DH is going to call owner in morning and have him come to house to see damage and find a solution.

I love the granite but am sad about the damage. Hope we can work it out. Now we need the cabinets and hardwood fixed. And I hope he has enough of that granite left to replace the cracked slab. It has to match.

We can not seem to catch a break.

Oh, and I forgot. The hardwood is lifting about 2 to 3 feet out from the island so DH says we probably have to jack up the house under the island. Don't know how big a deal that will be.
