It all happened so fast for me it took me by surprise. Just one day and I could no longer vape vendor juice. I tried a few times but nada. Then not long after that all my DIY juices started tasting way over flavored and I had to drop my percentages quite a bit. Most of my DIY now is under 10% total flavor

My adv is strawberry custard and the recipe I use calls for about 21% flavor. I love it but it is pretty strong at times. I got used to strong juices because my taste buds were dead after so many years of smoking. I probably should start to dial it down some.

One of my ADV's is a Blackberry Blend. Little peppermint and a tad of menthol. I've vaped it for at least 5 years. It only had 8% total flavor but the TFA Blackberry is very strong.I was getting the feeling I was tiring of it til I started cutting the flavor down. It now has 2 1/2% flavor

Using that low of a percentage would cut down even more on the cost of DIY juice which is already quite low. I image you'd have to cut back a little at a time to be able to get used to less flavor. What's your pg/vg ratio? I use either 30/70 or 20/80. Don't you need to use more flavoring the higher your vg is?

FranC that's really inspiring to me as a mtl vaper. I would like to be at 6mg by December. Thayamax, also inspiring to hear that you too are a chain vaper. When smoking, I was an occasional chain smoker. Now I really do chain vape. Was a bit worried about it. To me, now, that's something I can deal with later. Right?

Yep, deal with it later, or not. No matter how much chain vaping we/you're doing, it's still way less harmful than analogues and combustible tobacco. Don't stress it.

You're not alone, tgs. I'm a total chain vaper as well. I'm also allowed to vape at work and I have quite a bit of down time. :vapor: One of my co-workers calls my mod my pacifier since it's always in my mouth.

I started out vaping 24mg nic and MTL, but now I sub-ohm and DL at 3mg.

Oh, to be able to vape at work! That would be great!

Hello gang. I've stopped by several times but no one was around. Can someone please tell me the difference between MTL and DL? I have mostly old stuff. I do have a sub ohm now but I use the included .5 ohm I believe and the juice gurgles and spits .I do not like a hot vape Any suggestions? BTW I am still smoking after all these years .

A big hello to you @FL Lori!!! How have you been? I've really missed you and all the other regulars. The thread has been revived although nothing near like it used to be. Do you have any idea what happened to the old gang and how any of them are doing?

Still smoking, huh? At least you're vaping, too. :) Mouth to Lung (MTL) is where you take the vapor into your mouth first, then inhale it into your lungs. That's the way most people smoke cigarettes. Direct Lung (DL) is where you suck the vapor straight from the drip tip into your lungs, like taking a deep breath.

Sub ohm is a resistance under 1.0 ohms and usually requires more airflow, higher wattage and less nicotine. It's likely that your .5 ohm coil is flooded, causing it to gurgle and spit. Just hold a tissue around the airflow holes and blow it out. You might want to up your wattage since too low of wattage can cause gurgling and spitting, too.

It's so nice to see you back again. I hope you stick around, and that you're doing well.:banana::banana:

Good morning, everyone! How about a quick check in from all of you to let us know how you're doing? I'd hate to see this thread fall back into oblivion. :(

I went back to work Saturday midnights from a 2 week vacation only to be off again until Thursday afternoon. We didn't go anywhere so it was basically just a vacation from work, but I'm certainly not complaining...yet. ;)

My 5 year vapeversary is coming up soon. On July 2nd it will be 5 years since I smoked my last cigarette!!! Never in a million years did I ever imagine that could happen for me, a 42 year chain smoker, but it did. I still feel like I'm 1 cigarette away from being a smoker again, but as long as I don't smoke that cigarette, I'm golden!

So, how are you guys doing today?

I'm checking in. Considering recharging my stuff and trying again. My smoking is out of control and I know I stink. Just lacking willingness to switch over and being stubborn. I think my vape juice is safe!?! Just need my equipment to work properly all the time rather than once in a while. Have a great day see you all soon

Congrats on your upcoming 5 years. On July 5th I'll be smoke free for 8 years.

Wow, @Thayamax 5 years! That's awesome! In reading the old thread, and this one, I remember a lot of you guys, and yourself, having a tough time of it.

Seeing that you're 5 years free gives me (and probably all of us) hope!
