Not a fan of the first revision of temp control it's wonky, not one company has it right so far and a temp swing of +/- 10% is a huge swing. If I had to guess I'd say some one will eventually get it right but it won't be in their first batch that's for sure. I have a rdna40 and I can say for sure temp control is about the most inconsistent thing in this hobby right now.

That being said yes, it works but it doesn't work well and having to fiddle with it all the time makes it that much worse. I'm going to hold off on buying any more temp controlled devices (for now) and see if one of these companies can work out the kinks.

Couldn't disagree more. I find my rdna very consistent and can't wait to try the yihi version. I have the Smok m80 as well but it's hot garbage. With the rdna, I have had luck with every topper I've tried so far. Lemo, Derringer, and Marquis are all performing great. Consistent vape, no dry/ burnt hits.... loving the fact that I can just vape them dry. Make changing flavors a breeze. It's been a real game changer for me.

Maybe you're doing something that I'm not but I've been hitting the temp limit at around 2-3 secs after firing and the next day it's fine, an hour later back to 2-3 secs maybe it's the Ni200 who knows. I've got some titanium on order we'll see when it gets here but I don't mean to derail the thread, I'll keep an eye on the SX chip as well.

Yeah, I'm not having that experience at all. What topper are you using?

I've used a SubTank Mini with the RTA section, Tobh RDA, and a Kayfun Lite. I've had similar experiences with all of them the SubTank held up to a full day of consistent use but the next day it went wonky as well.

I'm excited about this device. I have a friend at work who is a newish vaper who bought an SX Mini based on my enthusiasm. I have to look at that thing sitting on his desk charging every day when I stop by his office before lunch to bs. I tell him he shouldn't leave it out in the open, it might disappear.

He's thrilled with his, says it has displayed no unexpected behavior. I'm a little jealous but I'm glad he likes it so much.

The build quality of the enclosure is super. It's smaller than you'd think, and I kind of like that the M class is just slightly larger than the original as I have large-ish hands, plus the larger screen is a bonus too which means I may not have to reach for my reading glasses to change a setting ;)

i was super excited for this product when I was still under the impression that it supported two 18650;s natively ie without making it into some unbalanced sideshow freak that can't even stand up. such a disapointment...they seriously shouldve gone 26650 on this, or at least offered a replacement tube to option that. I don't know, 60 watts just doesn't seem that impressive nowadays...

rounding third and heading home...
judging from the comments i may be the only person who looks forward to getting the extension tube. i think with a topper on one end and the tube on the other with the main body in the middle it will actually look pretty cool to me. i can't wait to get it and try it out. if it is too hideous i will just switch to my incoming ipv4 which has the usual side-by-side dual batteries and has the temp control using the yihi SX330-V4S CHIP.it has the advantage of the quick changing magnetic cover and is slightly larger than the sx mini. either way, with the yihi board, vaping should be consistent and non-problematic. i have encountered no problems at all with my 2 current sx minis- i have even gotten used to the annoying battery cap . far and away my favorite mod.....

I agree with you. For the times that I would ever want to vape over 60w I can deal with the extra tube. I have a SX350 60w in a mod I built and its fantastic, really rock solid. I expect nothing less with the new board.

Excuse me if I'm missing something in your post but hitting TP limit is not a drawback in DNA40 TP vaping... 2 - 3 seconds or more.
You can extend that time by lowering the temp and/or watts I believe, but it doesn't really matter because all its doing is cycling to keep to the designated temp setting.
