Right behind you...
If your vape isn't consistent, but you're telling it it's the same atty when it asks, it usually means you have a resistance fluctuation somewhere, but the board doesn't know that, it just thinks the coil is colder or hotter than it really is, and that screws everything up, obviously.

It's a pain in the buttocks, but if you do a reset it usually starts vaping great again. By doing a reset, I mean to let the atty cool down while off the device, put it back on, then when it asks select new coil, and check the resistance it shows you. If it's off by even 0.01, unscrew, fire to get atomizer open warning, then reseating and selecting new coil again.

Lather rinse repeat.

But before doing all that, do the usual troubleshooting: clean your contacts, check your screws, etc.

Or as a quick fix if you're somewhere where you can't futz about with it too much, check the resistance it's showing, and adjust your temp accordingly. Good rule of thumb for me is about 20f per 0.01 variance, that gets me in the right vape ballpark. If the resistance is showing lower than you built, adjust temp down, if its showing higher, adjust temp up, and diddle with wattage the opposite way if you feel like it.

judging from the comments i may be the only person who looks forward to getting the extension tube. i think with a topper on one end and the tube on the other with the main body in the middle it will actually look pretty cool to me. i can't wait to get it and try it out. if it is too hideous i will just switch to my incoming ipv4 which has the usual side-by-side dual batteries and has the temp control using the yihi SX330-V4S CHIP.it has the advantage of the quick changing magnetic cover and is slightly larger than the sx mini. either way, with the yihi board, vaping should be consistent and non-problematic. i have encountered no problems at all with my 2 current sx minis- i have even gotten used to the annoying battery cap . far and away my favorite mod.....
i don't know how you think that it will look even remotely presentable with that garish extension tube. one issue that we do agree upon though is the ipv4, ive decided that's the way to go as well, lets just hope we don't get burned...because we all know it wouldn't be the first time pioneer4u pulls some bull.... with a newly released device...

a little help here:
what are the settings going to be like?
I mean if you compare it to the DNA40 readout, what should we set the temp at ... is it F or C or J?

Do we have to prepare for a whole different scenario or could one just use their experience with the DNA40 and have at it?

Will it have similar single button and 2 up/down buttons?

thanks

Varitube posted a quick first look and video in their SX350 supplier thread.

I was in contact last night with the shop I pre ordered my M class from and he said that he had skyped with yihi yesterday and they were already shipping his pre-order batch.
They should be in route today and he said they should receive them monday/tuesday. Pretty sure I'll have mine before next weekend so I'm pretty excited.

edit: forgot about customs so maybe the following week-duh!

They are using nickel just like the DNA-40. If you didn't like building with nickel before, I don't think anything will change with this device.

Well, I'm sure this will get the fan boys all riled up -- but my dna40 sucks when i build anything over 0.2 ohms... I managed to get a Ti build at .17 working on it and it still fluctuates slightly when it runs "refinement" and i have to mess with the temp setting constantly -- but atleast it has stopped falling out of temp control mode...

just for the hell of it I tested a 0.15 nickle build and I couldn't get it to fall out of tc mode either... but when i put a 0.25 build in there it does fall out of tc mode occasionally...

to me this points to a problem in software or my board... I described this to evolv and they agreed that it sounds weird and I should return the board for a new one... so we will see how my next one works in a few weeks....

I'm hopeful that I wont have this problem on the yihi boards.

just my observations...

Im sure DrG will be here soon enough to blame it on me and explain that its my incompetent use of the device ;) but oh well... I can only describe what I've encountered...

Actually that would be an incompetent build ;)

Evolv, like many other businesses, realizes it's sometimes easier to give the customer what they want rather than explain to them they are wrong.
