Is the latest upgrade 2.23 my current update? I don't want to take the risk of corrupting my YiHi by connecting to PC
As far as I know that is the latest it is a test firmware upgrade and apparently they must have it corrected in the ML no one really knows because they are not going to be out till the 19th. I don't think they will give it to us. We were just guinea pigs. So I just plug along at 260-290F in NI200 mode with Ti wire. Just checked on the website and that is the latest test firmware upgrade. I check pretty much daily hoping. Is the latest upgrade 2.23 my current update? I don't want to take the risk of corrupting my YiHi by connecting to PC
started making a humming noise when used. I am going to keep using it. I hope it does not explode. meanwhile looking for something else. probably vapor flask sx. don't get me wrong. it lasted plenty. no appliance lasts indefinitely. I have used it a ton. in fact it still works but I may be asking for trouble now. don't really know what other high end mods there are at this point. do not want dna200 because 18650 lasts me 10 minutes! hey, at least I am not smoking. not sure what to get to replace it. not another sxm because of the paint right now. there are plenty of mods but the big feature t me is preheat. only on 350j/2 and dna200 afaik.
Well Vlad I don't have any other TC devices but what I notice while I use the NI200 mode with the Ti is the Unk vapes good for me at 260-265F while the CW takes about 270-290F I vape the nickel at 390 I like a little cooler vape.Have you tried your Ti on any other Temp Limiting devices 2legs? I've found the Ti wire I received from Unkamen needs to run at the same or very similar 540F - 560F on the DNA 200 as well as the SXmini m, where my Ni200 is usually in the low to mid 400's. I originally thought this to be inconsistency in the algorithm of the SXmini m between Ti and Ni200 but now I'm leaning more toward it being something to do with the wire. Two different devices needing much higher temp to get a similar experience with Ti as Ni200 doesn't make sense for it to be in the software of two different devices to me. That potentially explains why some are running Ti with very similar temps as they did with Ni200 while others aren't.

Thanks for posting this. I thought I was going crazy! I have been experiencing the same thing with the SX Mini M, DNA200, Evic VT, IPV D4, and Koopor Mini. I vape NI at 430-450F but have to go to 480-520F with TI. Even weirder is that I need higher temps with the Unk TI than I do with the Crazy Wire from the UK. None of the mods I have with TI mode seem "accurate" as far as the temp.
I had a ... moment when I got the DNA200 loaded up with the TI settings from steamengine and low and behold it was basically just like the SX Mini in TI mode needing a much higher temp! I agree it is the wire or some other variable.
Still like TI better even if the set temp is higher that what it is probably producing.
What mode are you running the SS inI'm trying SS now without much success other than the pre-built coils that come with the Uwell Crown. Love the pre-builts coils, but with my builds on the RBA deck I haven't been able to build anything that does't feel like it's turning on and off during the draw, power feels very erratic to me.

I very much doubt TC will disappear.
There are many people out there without issues using TC, me included.
For stealthvape's Ti :
Dna 200 = 0.0035 tcr = 235C = perfect
Dna 40 = ni curve = 180C-185C = perfect

Tony- Awesome help! I just plugged in a TCR of .0035 with the default curve instead of the one from Steam Engine, and voila....450F on TI seems spot on compared to NI at the same temp. Very new to DNA200 but this is the first thing that really impressed me about it!
I hope YIHI doens't abbandon updates for the SX350J especially the with the number of other modders using them now. Hopefully we could see a TCR adjustment which seems much more useful than modes. One can wish![]()
While YiHi made a decent chip+mod earlier this year however at this point in time some months later the market has moved/changed and other players are making some nice advances. Case in point: Friday a newfangled "Apollo Reliant" was in my mailbox, $100, TCR adjustment, VW/TC and "Mech" modes. It appears to have an anodized aluminum body, nice large an bright display AND has the temperature control on the up/down buttons rather than being buried in a sub-menu.
I still like my SXminiM for what it is however with others supporting multiple (or almost any) wire types at 1/2 the cost YiHi really needs to step up their game to remain competitive.
I agree there are more and more devices coming out with more support for other coil materials but it's yet to bee seen how accurate, durable, consistent, reliable they are etc..
And looking at the device you referenced it's a 60 watt max where the SXmini m is 150 watt max so comparing the two at 1/2 the cost would be about right in my book provided it had all the features as the SX and was as accurate and reliable etc..
