That's too bad, VPR, I was hoping it would have worked out better for you. Are they maybe pre-punched for a different tank, like on that has much thicker caps? I'm really curious if they end up performing better when properly punched/slotted for the Liquinator...
On a flip side, I've been using IKV 510 Gold V2 cartos since Saturday morning and this is looking very promising so far. It didn't start out too well. AFAIK, this carto uses either less filler or less dense filler so it wicks really fast, almost too fast. I slotted the first one and it filled up very quickly, even the filler on top of the carto was moist. But it started flooding a lot easily just shortly after. So I took out a second one and punched a decent size hole in it. I didn't prep it or prime it, just let it fill by itself for a few minutes doing an occasional cold-pull. This was much better but it still ended up flooding after about a couple of hours or so. So, I took out a third one and puched a very tiny hole in it. This one is working really well. It gets a little gurgle after about 6-8 hrs, more or less when I need to refill the tank. Since the tank is nearly empty at this time, it's been easy to blow it out. I just lay it horizontally, pull the carto out without any spillage and give it a quick blow through the battery end into a tissue, reinstall the carto while still in the horizontal position, turn it over and fill the tank. This is by far my favorite setup so far and I'm seeing the light for sure. The flavor difference between this carto and others is quite noticable. Even after almost two days it still tastes completely fresh. Very very nice!
Edit: FYI, the IKV 510 Gold V2 is rated at 2.5 ohm. It will run a little cool on a 3.7V MOD and way too hot on a 6V MOD. I would suggest giving it a try between 4.7 - 5.2 V.
