I don't know, my hits are pretty dry from start to finish with the bloog so far, and when I turn up the voltage past 4.2 it burns. I think it might improve if the hole was lower but I haven't gotten a satisfying hit yet, really, even with a fresh carto.

I wonder why they taste dry even with a fresh carto where the position of the hole doesn't matter initially. And they burn past 4.2V? Wow, that doesn't sound good. What's the ohm rating?

What you are saying about the IKV makes sense from what I've read elsewhere. I think they are rebranded SLB cartos. The filler is supposed to be a completely different material that is super absorbent. It got good reviews EXCEPT that supposedly the good times lasted for only a few refills as the filler would apparently expand and squeeze the airhole closed.

I know that was the issue with the original Gold (V1). They seemed to have way too much filler and very tightly wrapped. It would take a long time for the liquid to go through. The V2 is completely different. Maybe it has the same tube and threads but internals seem nothing alike. I've put one through vaping close to 15 ml of juice (yes I'm vaping way more now :)) and the center whole appears to be the about the same as two days ago, I can still easily see through it. The center is wrapped with a different material which, from what I've heard, is pretty resilient to burning. I don't know, all I know is that it tastes awesome after two days and I don't see any signs of discoloration. I guess time will tell...

Absolutely not! The DCs have all worked perfectly for me so far

For some reason for me, the burn through a tank MUCH faster then my 2.0's... And for what, minimum to no better vaping experience... That's what I don't like... Mine don't leak or flood (to bad) it just runs through liquid almost twice as fast... Not a must have for me...

Well got my SS tank today......

I went and cleaned off all the lubrication and some black stuff (thinking some type of grease?) and removed the O-rings and just gave everything a good cleaning. Reassembled and I will say they do slide more than my regular Delrin. I think a lot has to do with when the inner O-rings (ones the carto goes through) get juice on them. What's weird is when I first got it the carto was pretty sturdy and didn't spin, nor did the caps but once I cleaned everything and lubricated the ends of the tube it was spin city (good show BTW :)). So I figured it probably would be best to make sure all the O-rings were dry which scared me trying to put in the end caps non-lubricated but as it was said in Vaporescence's video, with the new tubes there is no need to lube them up, so I did that and now the caps don't spin and I just get a little spin now with the inner O-rings.

All and all I am satisfied, it looks great on my Pro-Vari:

I'll keep testing it out but still wondering what that black stuff was on the O-rings and such but the main reason I got the SS (besides the looks) was for durability in the long term. I haven't had any issues with my Delrin one but just thinking waaaay ahead and also got 2 sets of spare O-rings.

Just my 2cents. Vape On

The ones I used were the pre slots, I just grabbed those 4 DC xl ones off the classifieds... I was going to punch those... Guess ill start with a smaller hole and go from there...

Cool, keep us posted please. Curious how/if you experience different results.

Are yours slotted? What percentage VG is in your juice? Just curious...

The first one I used was slotted by Vaporescence and I ran thin at least 15 ml of Dekang RY4 (thin PG) through it and at least 9 ml of Boba's Bounty (thick VG) so it worked on the whole range! With the Boba's I had to pull the juice through the carto but with the RY4 the top of the carto was always wet. The thing just worked like a champ and it handled the full allowable voltage on the provari. It never died -- I actually got the carto stuck in a MAP tank cap as I was trying to experiment and had to toss it. It was slightly harder to pull through but it would have lasted a while longer.

I just tossed the bloog earlier and am now working on a PG red bull through a punched DC carto. Definitely no gurgling after a couple of hours

3.0 ohms. It may just be a crappy carto.

You've got it all over me then as I haven't tried either. Are the V2's horizontal coil?

I did the same thing on mine, washed it out completely and put it together without lubing the outer o-rings. It's super tight that way and takes away any fear of it accidentally coming apart.

Btw, it looks great with black o-rings on a black ProVari!

Thanks :) I got like the last powder coated version they sold. I got mine then a day or two later they said they were coming out with the Black Chrome....texture is nice.

I don't know for sure. I asked but haven't received an answer. You can clearly see through the center hole and there doesn't appear to be a coil in the bottom. At the same time, there isn't a wire coming up at the top (or past the top) as on Boge cartos. I'll dissect one and tell you what I find.

Hmmm, I just read the op's description of the carts I bought... Said there slightly larger in diameter... Might not fit the old tanks... /sigh. Said regs are 9mm and these are 10mm... Guess we will see... Wonder, if they could actually fit in tight in my SS as regs fit in my tight as hell delrins...

Sorry to keep on interrupting this thread by talking about the Liquinator and cartos... :)

Here is the pic of the insides of the Gold V2. It does not appear to have a bottom coil.

Yes, they are and heres the thing... First I got it from Lighthound. Your provari MAY NOT fire with them... if that the case then you need to razor off the top plastic that surronds the flat nipple... Its no big deal cause there is a sticker around it and does NOT expose any metal from the battery... you wont even be able to tell the difference! This is due to the micro chip being flush with the connector on the provari, now some provaris may not need it... so try it first. Seriously, like a half a millimeter difference is all thats needed, tried a 1.5 mm magnet and it wouldnt close the extender cap fully...

Hope that helps guys!

Here ya go Colorado

where's the coil? Is it the white thing at the top?

No, that's just a thicker harder clothy material. The top is where the two wires meet and are connected. I believe the dark wire in the middle is what actually heats up, the coil. I just don't know how exactly it runs through the carto when it tact. I really don't know how this stuff works or is supposed to work.
