Got some gurgling over the weekend.. flooding infact. The only different variable in the equation is a new juice base. This is a juice I have never used before, it is a doubler that says it is mixed at 80/20 (PG/VG) and I don't know any more than that. The niquid I am using is the same as the previous mixes, which is 50mg PG base. So I am unsure why this juice is misbehaving. It happened once with the Apple Pie flavour and then again with the Strawberry Tart flavour, both from the same juice vendor.

When I used other juices, I didn't have any trouble at all. THe previous juices were HG premixed (PG) and also double flavour 100% PG juices from Gourmet Vapor. Both were fine, no leaking, not even the faintest gurgle.

Could it really be the higher amount of VG that is causing the leaking/flooding/gurgling???? I would have thought it would be the exact opposite, since VG is thicker...?

Thoughts?

EDIT: Oh and I did change to a new precut (I don't own a dremel so buy them precut) after the first one flooded.

I can onlu comment on this... I tried for the first time a DC... They wick AMAZINGLY fast... Like its a completely diffferent filler used... It stays wet... I shouldnt have prefilled the carto cause this thing stays full... Its not bad, just amazes me how different the DC works compared to the Single cartos...please someone chime in on this... I could go back to my Thinker VG with the way these things work... I didnt take it apart cause im still using it, but I am thinking there is either less filler or its a different type but it definately wicks better, almost too much...

chief-a-lot, thanks for the info! I'm looking to buy batteries for a provari i ordered and needed some input. Are these black AW 2900mAh 18650 with the silver label a flat top battery? Mind sharing where you picked up your battery?

Yes, they are and heres the thing... First I got it from Lighthound. Your provari MAY NOT fire with them... if that the case then you need to razor off the top plastic that surronds the flat nipple... Its no big deal cause there is a sticker around it and does NOT expose any metal from the battery... you wont even be able to tell the difference! This is due to the micro chip being flush with the connector on the provari, now some provaris may not need it... so try it first. Seriously, like a half a millimeter difference is all thats needed, tried a 1.5 mm magnet and it wouldnt close the extender cap fully...

Hope that helps guys!

Ok.. If I had a dremel, I could cut a Boge 2.0 and try it out.. but I don't.. so not sure what I could do... maybe try punching a hole with a hammer and nail.. just to try it out..

Hammer and a sharp nail works great. Just don't hit to hard the first time. You can always hit it again to make it bigger if it too small or doesn't punch through. I like to make two punches one on ether side and one slightly larger than the other. Not sure what the different size holes do but seems to flow better like that. Experiment there seems to be many ways to do it.

light487, you don't need the dremmel. I have been slotting my own for a while. Just for a test I picked up a v-block and made a punch out of a piece hss stock with a 45 degree point. I punched 2 holes in a carto and did not like how much it deformed. Looking around the Garage I picked up a deck screw and used it to punch 2 holes in the next carto. That worked like a champ. I have been using this method all weekend with my 3 tanks, and it is working great. My point is, the dremmel method is over rated, slower, and more risk of carto damage.

Check out RTDVapor, I buy all my batts from there. Their prices are about the best and the customer service rocks.

Yes, I definitely am an RTD fanboy!

Well currently on dual's.. so if I can manage to get one of the Boge's cut/drilled/punched.. then I will be able to let you know. I will say this though, I was surprised at how quickly I could vape after filling the Liquinator with a fresh dual.. immediately after filling, without any priming, it was wet and ready to go.

As an aside.. I've switched back to HG juice, this time the PG based KANT flavour, and there's been no gurgling for the last hour or so.

A tip for clearing the carto, if it should becoming flooded: Make sure you push the carto down so that the slot (hole) is lower than the tube (i.e. so that it is not immersed in the juice), then blow out the excess on to a tissue. Don't blow it out while the hole is immersed in the juice as this will likely make the flooding worse than it was in the first place and you will effectively blow the entire contents of the tube out on to the tissue.

I have done this. Nothing like holding a paper towel that suddenly has 3ml of juice in it.

OK so I used the $20 non brand name dremel tool from Harbor Freight Tools with a diamond bit and within about two minutes successfully cut two slots in a Boge 3.0. I'm vaping KBV Gooey Better Cake right now and it works great. This was my first time using a saw in ages and if I can do it, anybody can. Just make sure you have something to hold the cart steady and don't cut too deep and you can't go wrong...

Would love to see a pic of this device.
