Look at the result of the punch method.
Your crushing the walls

crushing is a little bit of an exaggeration i'd say...plus your not gonna cut/friction burn the filler like you may with a dremel or have any residue....I doubt a few small puncture holes do much to structural integrity on a steel tube surrounded by a tank (what's the worst that could happen? a collapsed tube on a carto which is "disposable" to begin with)...just my opinion

ps I have nothing against dremel method, punching just works for me

That thing is basically an ice-pick.. so if you're looking for one, google "ice pick" and you'll find it.. a "nail set", if you can get a sharp enough one, might do the trick as well..

yea it is lol I feel like having a handle and thinner punch is a better alternative to a nail...just my opinion its more comfortable ..I just bought it bc I saw it in walmart lol (I hate shipping things)...plus the curved hook comes in handy as well for certain things

Does anyone know if I will need an adapter to use the Liquinator on a Prodigy V3? Thanks!

It works without an adapter. You just have to leave a small gap. It would probably work better with an adapter, but I ordered some 2 times and none of them worked, so I gave up. I use the 3ml and 5ml both with no adapter.

The ones I used were the pre slots, I just grabbed those 4 DC xl ones off the classifieds... I was going to punch those... Guess ill start with a smaller hole and go from there...

Try some Ressurectors from Crystal Clear Vaping these things are Awesome in the Liquinator tank . So happy I waited & got stainless ones , worth every penny but they absorb the juice quickly & a small hole is better than slotting them . 1.5 cartos was too much for me & 2.0 cartos left me thinking I could do better . 1.7 cartos is the happy medium & $21 bucks for 15 of them , syringe & my nice shiny red drip tip (red for Hawaiian Punch) got me doing the Happy Dance :rickroll:

I think I'll try the punch route also. i have a mini chop saw that you can adjust depth, and location and I have tried everything. Two holes one hole high holes low holes. The carto's work for a tank or maybe a tank and a half then for no reason it just gushes out and floods big time. I lost about 3 mils of juice today all over my hands and Provari. I was not even puffing just picked it up and the carto was flooding. I have tried every brand of 510 xl cartos that I can get my hands on. IKV 808's I even have put tea bag mod CE2's they don't flood like the cartos but they still gurgle if you lay them down or tilt them to much. I have found that once they flood they will keep flooding. I even tried filler down near the hole to regulate the liquid flow and that causes burning once in while. So I think I'll try to punch a few or dill maybe. All I can think is I'm doing something wrong here. I see people that are saying they are using the same stuff I have for weeks. I did get 3 tanks through one carto but on the 3rd morning when I refilled it within half a dozen drags it gushed and wood not stop. I think I may cut my tank off to 3 mills and give Boge 2 ohm's a try. My Provari's don't like 1.5 dual coils much any way. If anyone has any answers let me know. These are great when they work. I have a love hate thing going with these carto's.
Thanks

Just in case no one has tried this , I put a drill tip on my Dremel & neatly drilled a hole in a Boge lr carto . I believe it's a 1/16 size bit but it came with my Dremel kit & it's very pointy but looks like a metal cone . It starts as a small tip & gets larger as it goes in , more like a triangle shaped tip . At any rate it made the hole without any deformity what so ever . It looks like the hole was made into the carto & it hits like a charm . Just to say in case anyone forgot , the Dremel can make any type of hole or slot, depending on what kind of tip you use & no nail needed .

whats the chances of pulling the filler out of the cartos and replace them with filler like making a teabag or blue foam mod on them... Hmmmmm??

I've been wondering what happened to all the PTB mods, worked well before.

EDIT: Colorado man said he tried but still flooded.

I have not received mine yet, but a few tips from my side as I have used tanks a lot:

1.) prefill your carto, not only the tank and let it sit for at least 10 minutes;
2.) don't use too high voltages, you will burn them 4sure;
3.) when putting on the drip tip don't close the drip tip hole or the atty hole as you will push too much liquid in the carto and flood it;
4.) when refilling the carto, don't get juice in the hole, it will ruin it.
5.) stiff draw means: the poly is too much saturated, toss it!!
6.) when making holes: if the carto get's too hot because of the drilling you have a change to burn the poly;
7.) don't press the fire button ever before making sure you have done the above (dry carto burn once means burned 4ever).

It seems that all the leaking is from DC Carto's. I use Boge Carto's and have never experienced a leak. Please correct me if you've had leaking from Boges.

I don't remember hearing any complaints regarding leakage when using Boge cartos in the Liquinator. The issue seems to be quite opposite for some of us, that they don't seem to wick enough or quickly enough resulting in a short life (a couple of days in my case). But majority of Liquinator users seem to love them and don't find the setup problematic.

On a side note, I've had great success so far with the IKV 510 Gold V2. Been using the same one since Saturday, so four full days. The taste seemed a little off this morning. I blew the carto out from the mouth end into a paper towel and the color of the juice that came out was noticeably darker than the juice going in. Now, the flavor seems to be as good again as on day one. I think I'll stick with this setup for now...

getting some V2's what is the "hole"method you use for the carto's?
