Still going strong wtih no gurgle/flood.. all days now.. I am seriously starting to think it has more to do with the driptip than the cartos.. but it could be just superstitious thinking..

I think it all boils down to the cartomizer, some great, some are good and some are not so good...

Epic Journey
Hi Vaporologist
Is the IKV 510 gold V2, a XL for the 5mil tanks are they the reg lenght? All my tanks are 5 mil tanks. I could cut them off to 3 mil but I hate to do that. Another question is the IKV mega cartos xl length or are they fatter than the standard diameter xl size?
Thanks
CH

Hey CH,

The Gold V2 is almost the same length as the standard Boge, maybe 1 mm longer, so you would need to cut down one of your tank tubes. It sits flush on both caps while Boge is slightly inside the top cap if flush on the bottom cap. The Mega is the same diameter, if I remember correctly, but it's longer.

Does anyone know what o-ring size we need for the inner seal? I think my liquinator is too tight, I can't push the carto through without damaging o-rings and using a LOT of force. I purchased some extras from vaporescence and have already ripped them all.
=/

So nobody knows what o-ring sizes they use? Is anyone else having to use an extreme amount of force to get their carto's in the tanks?

I've mangled 6 o-rings now and am stuck with bits of o-ring floating around my tank and being pushed up into the tank and hanging outside the tank. It's ridiculous.

Joe, you never mentioned what version of the Liquinator you have and what type of cartoz you are using. Kinda hard to offer up suggestions without giving us more details. At least mention the date you ordered/received, delrin, stainless etc, carto brand and size, sticker or no sticker.

Vaporescence revised the Liquinators recently so you need to know which ones you have. They claim the new versions takes a larger inner seal which either means only the seal size has been increased or the machining of the slot has been made bigger or wider to accept a fatter seal. News

Your best bet would be to call James and ask because most complaints are about the Liquinator being too loose yet you have the exact opposite problem which I wish I had. Mine are so loose that I have to put an O ring on my drip tip to keep the tank from sliding off. I have the Delrin and the Stainless along with extra O rings but nothing seems to work.

Ps, I seriously doubt the O rings someone posted about McMaster-Carr are the correct ones because I used 2 digital micrometers and measured brand new O rings from Vaporescence and they weren't the same specs that the mcmaster link stated. Big Fran tried those O rings and couldn't get the carto to fit.

Aloha, Keith

I'm using the delrin 3ml Liquinator, which I received August 1st. I'm using the non-sticker slotted boge carto's that came with the tank. I had contacted them about a DOA carto and the o-ring problem I had a week after I received the tank, they replied saying they would ship out some o-rings and carto's free of charge. I had already ordered another $20 in replacements, and of course my package arrived with just what I ordered. Nothing extra as James said there would be. I wish I didn't like carto-tanks so much because this company has really given me a bad taste in my mouth.

I got an email back from Vaporescence and they of course want me to send it back in. This is my only method of vaping at the moment and I'm leaving for a camping trip tomorrow. This sucks.

Hi All YA Happy Vapors.
Well I have moved on, this tank is good idea but the cartos are not suited to this tank. I have dumped the rest of the slotted cartos and gave the rest unused to a friend that loves LR cartos. I have put CE2 XL Rev 5 cartos in my tanks as of today. I think I set a new record for a flooded LR carto today. After filling the tank with a new LR 1.7 ohm Smoketech it started to pour out the bottom before I even got it to the provari, thank goodness. I had only put about 3-4 mil of my VR4 from Vaprite which is the daily vape for me these days. I can put up with once in while gurgle from the CE2s which is no worse than the MAP CE2 tank. At least I haven't drenched my Provari with the CE2. I can't run the voltage up over about 3.6 on the LR cartos and that is just not a good vape for me. The 2.4-2.6 CE2 I run up to 4.2V and can go up to 5V, so it is much more enjoyable. By the way just got my new Black Chrome Provari, very nice looking.
Happy Vapeing

I have a Liquinator and a J-Tank from Electronicstix.com. I prefer the J-Tank hands down. My J has a nice tight fit (no sliding). And as far as customer service, Jason at ENS is second to none.

I have 2 J-tanks and 4 Liquinators .. have never had one single problem with the J-tank and 2 of my Liquinators were perfect from the start but I did send 2 other LQ's back and they replaced them .. so now all 4 of my LQ's work perfectly too. I use Boge 510's and also Boge 808's on all of my tanks, my personal preference is the 808. When I want to be 10000% sure of being able to put a tank in my pocket or purse and it not leak, that is when I only use the J-tank. The J-tank is made great, not too loose, not too tight, perfect in everyway. Only thing about the J-tank is it doesnt hold a full 3ml but that is A-ok with me because it is flawless .. kudos to Jason!

Joe, since you received yours in August then those would not have been part of the one defective batch that they had earlier. They send the Liquinator with a carto already installed so if it were as tight as you described, the person doing the assembly should have noticed this and wouldn't have been able to fit it in. I assume you are lubricating the carto prior to installation with juice because there is a huge difference in the "slideyness" depending on whether they are wet or dry.

As far as carto size and fit, I used both the Boge and the Smoketech Dual Coil ones and they both seem to fit the same. If you take a close look at your inner O-rings, do they stick out of the groove a lot or just a hair? Mine barely protrude and look just a hair above flush, all 3 of mine are like this. You should do one last check, remove the inner O-rings and check it with something like a bent paper clip or dental tool to see if there is any debris in the groove. Also check to see if the O-ring thickness while installed protrudes an equal amount all the way around because if it was machined "out of round", that would make the O-ring protrude in spot. Other than that, I have to assume that your inner groove was not machined deep enough and sending it back will be your only option.

Sorry I could not be of more help.:(

As soon as Jason gets the 3ML's back in stock...I'm getting one.:thumb:

Jason also supplies a few other dealers .. one of those is Vapor Galaxy, the owner's name is Richard and he ships immediately, I ordered my black one from him and he's a great guy. Jason has an arrangement with Richard to supply some of his tanks to him, so sometimes you will see Jason's website has none but at Vapor Galaxy they are in stock. Vapor Galaxy has the black 3ml one in stock right now, here's the link: 3 ML J-TANK
