getting some V2's what is the "hole"method you use for the carto's?

I used the same method as in the video from the post #2028 except making a hole a little smaller. The first hole I made was too big and resulted in the carto flooding and leakage. I really like the recommendation in the post #2038 though. I think I'll do that from now on. From my experience, the key is to make the hole as small as possible. You can always expand it later if you feel you need to imo.

BTW: anybody tried Halo with the Boge's that come with the liquinator, just curious as Halo juices are kind of difficult in carto's....

All I vape are Halo liquids and I have had no problems. I've never heard about them being difficult in carto's as they are on the thin side.

Got the Liquinator out again last night and basically "reset to factory defaults" by putting a brand new pre-cut in AND using the original driptip that it came with. I used the HG liquid with it that I had first used and lo and behold.. the thing is working as good as the first day again. No leaking, no gurgling, no flooding and I've been using it for the last 13 hours (though I slept for 8 of them) with no ill-effects. I'm even starting to think that the original drip-tip has a part to play because it seems to give the tank a better seal at the top than the other driptip I had on it before.

Will have to keep testing and seeing how things go but I'm just glad I can vape with it again because when it is working, it is the best vape I've had for a long time. The XXL DC's by themselves are pretty snazzy though.. hehehe

I think I'll try the punch route also. i have a mini chop saw that you can adjust depth, and location and I have tried everything. Two holes one hole high holes low holes. The carto's work for a tank or maybe a tank and a half then for no reason it just gushes out and floods big time. I lost about 3 mils of juice today all over my hands and Provari. I was not even puffing just picked it up and the carto was flooding. I have tried every brand of 510 xl cartos that I can get my hands on. IKV 808's I even have put tea bag mod CE2's they don't flood like the cartos but they still gurgle if you lay them down or tilt them to much. I have found that once they flood they will keep flooding. I even tried filler down near the hole to regulate the liquid flow and that causes burning once in while. So I think I'll try to punch a few or dill maybe. All I can think is I'm doing something wrong here. I see people that are saying they are using the same stuff I have for weeks. I did get 3 tanks through one carto but on the 3rd morning when I refilled it within half a dozen drags it gushed and wood not stop. I think I may cut my tank off to 3 mills and give Boge 2 ohm's a try. My Provari's don't like 1.5 dual coils much any way. If anyone has any answers let me know. These are great when they work. I have a love hate thing going with these carto's.
Thanks
CH:confused:

I'm starting to think that perhaps the diameter of all these cartos's may be ever so slightly different. For example, (and I know this seems to make no sense but) I modded all my CE2 tanks delrin caps to accept Boge Carto's. The only ones I had were black so I had to remove the covering and clean them. They fit perfectly and slid in and out with moderate pressure. I just received some steel carto's (same brand) and went to replace the originals in a couple of tanks. They were way too tight so I had to ream the caps out a bit more. That's just on Boge's. Factor in DC's and other brands and perhaps that's why some are loose and others are too tight. I dunno but maybe the problem is poor tolerances of the carto's and not the design or o-ring size of the tanks.

So nobody knows what o-ring sizes they use? Is anyone else having to use an extreme amount of force to get their carto's in the tanks?

I've mangled 6 o-rings now and am stuck with bits of o-ring floating around my tank and being pushed up into the tank and hanging outside the tank. It's ridiculous.

Somewhere in this thread someone posted what size they were and a link to McMaster Carr I think was where to get them.

I think your right.:)

I don't remember hearing any complaints regarding leakage when using Boge cartos in the Liquinator. The issue seems to be quite opposite for some of us, that they don't seem to wick enough or quickly enough resulting in a short life (a couple of days in my case). But majority of Liquinator users seem to love them and don't find the setup problematic.

On a side note, I've had great success so far with the IKV 510 Gold V2. Been using the same one since Saturday, so four full days. The taste seemed a little off this morning. I blew the carto out from the mouth end into a paper towel and the color of the juice that came out was noticeably darker than the juice going in. Now, the flavor seems to be as good again as on day one. I think I'll stick with this setup for now...

Hi Vaporologist
Is the IKV 510 gold V2, a XL for the 5mil tanks are they the reg lenght? All my tanks are 5 mil tanks. I could cut them off to 3 mil but I hate to do that. Another question is the IKV mega cartos xl length or are they fatter than the standard diameter xl size?
Thanks
CH
