It's been a few days since I've read this thread, so I've been doing some catch-up reading and came across a few questions. A few of you have mentioned "resurrectors". What in the world is a resurrector?

Also, someone asked where to find the list of "no-no" juices for the liquinator. I can't find that list online either. I love my liquinators and would hate to ruin the tubing. Even though replacement tubes are inexpensive, I just don't want to have to experience that. I will never use hot cinnamon flavors in my liquinator because I've seen the damage hot cinnamons can do. But somebody mentioned not using Mrs. T's snickerdoodle. How about KBV's snickerdoodle? I would have thought snickerdoodle would be safe since it's the mild cinnamon variety.

Epic Journey
I ve never had the Resurrector Cartos before, but the 1.5 DC cartos drop from their initial resistance by about .2 ohms one I had that failed fairly quick, it was 1.2 just before it failed. So yes I can start off at 4 or so but soon it gets E2 errors. I hope the resurrector is better.

I know what you mean, I experience that often with atomizers. But I've never had that happen with a carto yet for some reason... But I haven't tried DC cartos yet either.

I was just wondering how barometric pressure affects the liquid flow. If the air in the tank is equalized say at 31.2 and the pressure drops to say 29.2 then the push on the liquid is higher in the tank than the inside of the carto which is open to the lower pressure. If the slot is covered by juice then it can't equalize. It would be wise to never fill the tank so the holes are all ways covered, and should not be stored in upright position. Right? What about the air heating up from chain vapors? I know and old retired Engineer thinking to much. LOL

That's a very interesting observation and would make for an interesting discussion. Unfortunately, I don't exactly qualify to partake in it but would love to see what you find out.

Based on my up-to-date experience, I am certain that different cartos do perform differently in a tank and that a size of a hole or a slot does play a significant role in their performance.

My Liquinator arrived with standard Boge pre-cut cartos. Regardless of the slot size (and they were all quite different), these cartos stayed wet only about 2/3 of the way up (about 10 drops less than full). I even added a punched hole to one of them without noticing any improvements. It seems that the filler in this particular cartos either doesn't wick the liquid enough or quickly enough. Also, I don't recall anyone using Boge cartos reporting their carto leaking.

OTOH, when trying IKV 510 Gold V2 cartos, the result was completely opposite for me. The same or similar size slot resulted in a carto flooding and leaking in a very short amount of time, as little as just a few minutes. The filler in the top part of the V2 carto appeared to be completely saturated which indicated too much juice going into the carto too quickly. The solution ended up being a new V2 carto with a very tiny punched hole. To my surprise, with this new setup, the filler in the V2 stayed almost completely wet for about a week, literally. The top of the filler appeared kind of dry when looking at it but it would completely saturate after dripping only two drops to it regardless of how long I vaped for and whether the tank was completely full or almost empty.

I believe that the pressure does affect the liquid flow but I feel that a specific type or amount of filler makes the greatest difference. The amount of filler may contribute to the amount of pressure. Afterall, if we remove all the filler we will probably lose all or most of the pressure and the tank will empty on its own. I don't know, just my thoughts...

alot of discussions on forum about issues folks have had with plastic tubing and cracking....basically the problem is with some essential oils, particularly cinnamon and orange oils and possibly some sour flavors (apple) with malic acid.

here's a link that points to some ECF forum posts related to this issue
click "show more" under title "Clearomizer tube dissolving shortly after filling it with liquid"
even though clearomizer plastic is not polycarb, polycarb is still vulnerable to cracking with some of the same e-liquid as clearomizers are....which and all e-liquids, not sure

Hey lunch, how is the draw on that whistle T-tip? I want to order a non-drip one, I love the draw on my lava tank because of the small hole in the tip... Really wanting to know how the draw is?

Draw is very easy, it's the drip version so it's got a big hole. One thing i would advise would be that the "lip" that you place your lips on isn't smooth. I'll take a picture cause that last sentence sounds funny. If you have a T-tip already let me know to save me the time of taking that close up. lol I would prefer a smooth piece over the rough edges on the one i got. I usually turn it 90* and hit from the contoured section.

Interesting... I have an old school shorty... Reg style though... Doesn't work on liquinator case its the same diameter as the carto so there is nothing from keeping it from coming off from the top...

This is personal preference any not a design issue, but you can see how the mouthpiece has a LIP that is rather sharp edged. I'm debating on trying to smooth it out with a dremel. I thought it was smooth when i ordered it, the picture on the site was from the opposite angle.

Guess ill just order a reg one...

It kinda gets crud build up on it from scraping my lip every time i draw. Took two pictures, first one i noticed all the crud on it and had to clean it. lol It's been a vape filled day so that may have something to do with it, but it looks so damn nice im not taking it off. If you turn it 90* off the normal it feels like a smooth contoured tip, can't even tell it's a whistle tip. Pretty much 2-in-1 kinda deal.

Hows the draw compared to the drip version?

I didn't really notice much of a difference like it being stiffer (TWSS) or anything to the regular SS t-tip ones (I haven't tried a flat tip drip version nor steel version). When I used to use the 901 whistle tips I did notice a little stiffer draw due to the small opening and that's why I tried one of these when they came out but they are not the same. But I was hoping at least for a flat whistle tip design similar to the 901 tips but they aren't the same IMO.

I think they are the way they are as that is probably the only way he could machine them but that's just a guess.
