I failed to mention that when I removed one wrap from my NiFe48 coil in my ST I also made it slightly spaced.
The coil was pretty gunked up for the short time that it was used also. Here is my live view now using SE CSV unaltered.

So each of the vertical red lines are puffs correct? And the green at the bottom is preheat I can't quite read how much power it is using to hold temp after preheat. Your coil is .215 right? That's 5 or 6 wraps at what ID

That's pretty cool you can see all that when you are vaping. That's the main reason I'd like to have one. More of a hobby type thing for me. Must be 6 cause I'm getting .202 with 6 at 2.5..
It really showed me that I needed to change my wicking method a bit as I was making them somewhat on the drier side. Off to work

Well, here is a fun fact. Actually an AMAZING fact:

Like @dwcraig1 I have been less than satisfied with Live View's report of my vape of NiFe52/Nifethal 52

So, last night I created a second NiFe profile: "Profile 2" uses the Custom profile from SE (the graph). It was labeled "NiFe52". "Profile 5" is labeled "Nifethal 52". This "Profile 5" uses a fixed TCR rather than the graph. ***

The point being I can switch Profiles on the device (VS 200) without the need to Connect and Upload, from "2" to "5" with ease. As I said, the result is astounding, and, very satisfying.

Profile 2 eases up to temperature (440 F) then jiggles about the set temp. Jiggles is a technical term indicating what I estimate to be +/- 5-7 degrees F.

Profile 5 goes to the set temperature and flat lines on the set temperature with NO VARIATION.

I would like to show the Live View picture but cannot coz under Windows I am using XP that simply blows. And on the MAC Apple/Oracle broke what was a beautiful alliance when Apple released El Capitan.

So, what was the magical TCR in Profile 5? It was 0.0045. At least I believe so. (Again El Capitan and XP weirdness.) To confirm I looked at the graph (or line) numbers on the XP box and set the MAC TCR box to the exact numbers showing on the XP box. At TCR 0.0045 both machines show:

-100, 0.53.........68, 1.00.........800, 3.03

*** Profiles are 1 = Ni 200, 2 = NiFe 52, 3 = SS 430, 4 = Titanium, 5 = Nifethal 52 (6 through 8 are unused)

Interesting
Had some similar issues w/ Ti
I will try now w/ 316 :)

Funny, I was just getting ready to PM you as follows: 'I would luv to hear your comment on my last post in the TC Beyond Ni 200 thread.'

Like minds! I love it!!

BTW I had a similar result with SS 430, preferring "138" over the graph.

For me I don't understand DNA200 I understand that the profile is using a TCR of .00450 Where I am using TCR .00405 but after both machines show I don't understand the numbers. Ignorance I guess. Where did the magic profile 5 come from if not from SE? Sorry I don't understand this. I am sure dw does.

I guess I gotta get me one of those.

I could not be 10,000% certain of the number I input last night on the XP box and cannot recall the number after the fact. (In my brain or in S/W.)

Setting the MAC to an identical resulting number/path/line assures that the TCR is the same.

In the first view you can grab the temp points with your mouse and drag them to what you want or right click them and enter a value. You can also move the temp points or add more lines.

Or as in the 2nd view you can enter in the value of a linear setting.

Wow this is WAY over my head guess I better get on that interactive tutorial to understand this stuff.
For sure, that's where I started a few days prior to the delivery of my first one.

This is for "show" only, it might would vape real strange if it vaped at all. LOL

Well TC mods are sure coming out in a hurry these days, Too bad so few actually have a SS profile.

I was thinking of picking up one more so that I would have two but I don't need/want a DNA200.

Hopefully soon there will be more stuff out there with SS mode at around $50 - $75.

I can make TI mode to work but an actual SS mode would be preferred.....

Eric, the VTC mini has SS mode (but I believe it to be SS316). The SX Mini M class I believe has a firmware update that allows SS, but from the sketchy details I've been able to find you have to enter TCR and offset (but I am prepared to be corrected here).

Being able to enter correct TCR and such would be ok as SS430 is all I use.
