Bill, attachment link didn't work...

It was a picture, then an attachment, and worked both for me. Again:

I don't have the time to make the Oreo Cookie Flavoring today. However, I did jot down this starting recipe. I will start here:

Oreo Cookie, maybe cookies and cream?:

Chocolate - 4%
Double Chocolate - 4%
Sweetener - 3%
Sweet Cream - 3%
Bavarian Cream - 3%
Vanilla Custard - 2%
Peppermint - 1%

I have not tried this. This is just my thinking about starting percentages using these ingredients. When I get a chance, though, I'll work on it. I think we can knock it out. Anyone who has the time and the ingredients to work on this one, I would appreciate hearing from you! This one might be really good. I used to chop up my oreos in milk going back probably 50 years now....holy smokes, that's scary.....

Other ideas that I'm considering regarding the oreo juice....maybe dulce de leche (maybe for cookies and cream). No milk chocolate. Seems to me that we need to stay on the dark chocolate side, but will only be able to tell upon mixing. If peppermint turns out to be the missing ingredient as espoused by Arnie and Thunderball, then perhaps the cookie part is not needed additionally. For the cookie, I know that flavor art and DIY flavor shack makes one. If the cookie is truly a cocao base, then the bittersweet chocolate may be the ticket, and then no separate cookie flavor would be needed. Two cents...Good luck!

Edit:

Btw, I would test this as a 100 drop mix. Then adjust to taste for exact percentages. Bet we could get there in less than 800 drops. :2c:

Bill, great stuff. Can't wait to try this recipe as soon as my order for TFA comes in. So when I thought about this last night, I thought about Cocoa Puffs... I would think this would be similar but the Oreo would have a darker choco flavor... not as much of a milk flavor from the vanilla which I think your vanilla/cream suggestions would help. I do like the suggestions of the bittersweet choco too. Think that will bring us closer to the chocolate cookie flavor of the Oreo. And, VERY interesting in the smidgen of peppermint you guys are talking about as being the missing ingrediant. Can't wait to get on this one.

Here's another question, has anyone made a Pecan Pie recipe? I'm from the south so that explains my want of a Pecan Pie juice. :)

You guys are awesome!

I make a Pecan Pie:

Pecan - 5%
Graham Cracker - 5%
Pie Crust - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Vanilla Bourbon - 2%

Flavor to taste, but this one is spot on the Pecan Pie I used to eat as a kid, when I lived in the South (Texas). Good luck!

Ok, just finished another 1.5 liters of juice, so label and bottling later today, so I'm now free to play. I do want to try the oreo cookie/cookies and cream juice, and checked and I do need a couple of flavors. I do have peppermint, but it's sampler size, and I don't have bittersweet chocolate, so I just placed a TFA order:

Apple Flavor-16oz wh-001_sz2 $15.00 $15.00

1 Bananas Foster Flavor-4oz wh-254_sz1 $8.75 $8.75

1 Bittersweet Chocolate Flavor-4oz wh-084_sz1 $8.75 $8.75

1 Cinnamon Danish Flavor-16oz wh-154_sz2 $18.00 $18.00

1 Coconut Extra Flavor-4oz wh-079_sz1 $8.75 $8.75

1 Frosted Donut Flavor-4oz wh-272_sz1 $6.50 $6.50

1 Peppermint Flavor-4oz wh-046_sz1 $8.75 $8.75

I am also running low on a few things after 3 liters over the last day or two.

One new flavor, though, is the frosted donut. Haven't tried it yet. Can't wait. Frosting? Powdered sugar? glazing? doughy? Very curious, and it may have legs, meaning it may make a great nuance to other flavors. The doughy type flavors are not easy to get into the mixes, so we shall see.

Today, I made Tropical Paradise, Cinnamon Danish, and Pink Starburst. Tropical Paradise has been around a long time, and it's a nice vacation/Hawaii type flavoring:

Tropical Paradise:
'
Pineapple - 7%
Coconut - 6%
Bavarian Cream - 6%
Sweetener - 2%
Dulce de Leche - 2%

So, a nice refreshing 23% flavoring mix with both Pineapple and Coconut. Evokes those days on the beach, those "Tropical" drinks that we only drink when we're on the beach. We could add some Jamaican Rum if want the drink flavor, and not just the virgin fruit flavoring. Enjoy!

ERMAGERD I finally have success!!

Banana fosters 4%
Vanilla custard 2.5%

Yummy!!

Also had to majorly rework my strawberry cheese. I've tried to tweak it as much as possible but I was running out of the stock sample. I do have an idea of what I want, and plan to make a 10ml sample at some point today

Cheesecake 2%
Graham cracker clear 5%
Strawberry (ripe) 10%
Sweet cream 4%
Vanilla swirl 4%
EM 2%

Where did you get those bottles?
I'm liking those!

Amazon reagent bottles. I use the 250 ml for batches, and the 500 ml for bases. They are very reasonable, and because they seal (and unseal), they are great for mixing, and then not having to transfer them immediately to other containers. Here:

Make sure and get the wide mouth bottles, as they are much easier to work with. You can also get syringes in them pretty easily.

Thank you sir!

The wide mouth is what I liked about them.

Frosted donut will be interesting... That Tropical Paradise is being added to my list. Bill, you're running my TFA bill up! But I like it!!!

I know. Every time I get on here and read about different juices, my TFA bill goes up as well. A request by a vendor for a private label tobacco Thursday resulted in an $85 bill today. Here's what I'm thinking about a signature tobacco:

RY4 - 2%
M Type - 2%
Turkish - 2%
Black Honey - 2%
Bavarian Cream - 2%
Caramel - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Vanilla Bourbon - 3%
Hazelnut - 3%
Smooth - 2%

So, this has several of the preferred tobacco flavorings in it, so probably many tobacco flavor lovers will find something to like about it. Then accentuate the more flavorful (imho) ingredients, i.e., the caramel and vanilla/Bavarian Cream, the nuttiness of hazelnut (maybe), and Sweetener, of course. A 20 something percent juice that I'll have to flavor to taste when my supplies come in. I have a lot of old tobaccos from a couple of years ago, but they're from MFS, and I don't really use them anymore. My old favorites were Red Lights (USA light), and Desert Ship (Turkish). Won't be able to tell you anything definitive until we get the mixes going in the Lab. The smooth should make a nice thick rounded blend of the tobaccos, while the nuanced flavors will add some depth and body and interest. Might be pretty good. Likely a good start...

Again, mixing by drops (1 drop = 1%), it's fairly easy to test this out. I will try and find the sweet spot of the tobaccos before I begin the mix. That's always the first step, but I believe 6 - 8% tobacco flavoring is pretty normal. So, we shall see.

Have you ever worked with that m type?If not i would reccomend treading very lightly with that one haha, that was one of the very first flavors i bought when i started diy'ing, thinking tobacco flavors would help with staying away from the cigarettes. That turned out to be the absolute worst flavor i have ever tasted,to me it was so bad that i almost gave up not only on diy but on vaping at all, yeah it was that bad. That was at 2%,i got brave and went back to try that sample again after 2 months,it was still horrible.

You got it...I'll never figure why such a vile flavor as M-Type would even be classified as a tobacco....

For a signature tobacco I'd personally be looking at Inawera's TDM S'Camel, INW's L.S.D in place of Smooth, DNB and/or a blend of Hangsen RY1/Indian for a solid tobacco base. TFA/TPA doesn't have a flavor that remotely resembles a tobacco flavor.

I can't wait to dive into mixing, this thread will be my bible for a few days, if not weeks. Finally got some decent hardware, now it's time to not worry about buying juice every other week.

Bill: keep up the magic, you're a walking encyclopedia.

I'll be placing my first DIY order very soon, likely from wizard labs. I'm a (not overly sweet) fruit-loving vaper, so I'll start off in that arena, and throw in some vanilla/creamy things to get started. Since I know this thread actively exists, I think I'll stick to TFA flavors for now.

Very excited, keep up the great work everyone.

Indeed I have,. I definitely agree that many base tobacco flavors do not make good SINGLE JUICE FLAVORS. However, they were not meant to be. They are bases, and they have to be nuanced with specific flavors to work, at all. M-type is terrible on its own, even at 1%. But a little of this, a little of that, suddenly MAGIC JUICE. My old favorite was Desert Ship, or Turkish, and that worked pretty good as a stand alone flavoring, or a single ingredient added to it. Frankly, most all TFA flavors are not that great unless they are mixed with several others. I'm game, though. Perhaps we can come up with something decent, and, if so, I will gladly share with you all. For me, it's the journey, not the destination. I may have started DIY'ing to save money, but I do it now, because I enjoy it, and finding the magic juices is not a hobby for everyone, and I well understand that. I bought the original tobacco sampler from MFS a long time ago and made all ten into 10% juices to get a feel for them. Only three were vapeable. But, I've learned a thing or two since then, and I think I can do better this time. We'll see, but I appreciate all the input. I'm a fan of TFA, so I will stick to them, to make my juices work. The last thing I want to do is have to buy all the flavors from another four or five flavor places. No way, Jose.... Two cents.
