You got it...I'll never figure why such a vile flavor as M-Type would even be classified as a tobacco....

For a signature tobacco I'd personally be looking at Inawera's TDM S'Camel, INW's L.S.D in place of Smooth, DNB and/or a blend of Hangsen RY1/Indian for a solid tobacco base. TFA/TPA doesn't have a flavor that remotely resembles a tobacco flavor.

Do you have a recipe?

Have you ever worked with that m type?If not i would reccomend treading very lightly with that one haha, that was one of the very first flavors i bought when i started diy'ing, thinking tobacco flavors would help with staying away from the cigarettes. That turned out to be the absolute worst flavor i have ever tasted,to me it was so bad that i almost gave up not only on diy but on vaping at all, yeah it was that bad. That was at 2%,i got brave and went back to try that sample again after 2 months,it was still horrible.

Do you have a recipe?

I have a recipe. This was my first Peach. Peach Cobbler:

Juicy Peach - 10%
Sweetener - 4%
Cinnamon - 1%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Graham Cracker - 1.5%
Vanilla Bean - 1%
Sweet Cream - 1%

This is an old recipe and can probably be reworked, but it's still very good. The cinnamon is not popular with everyone, so substitute a Cinnamon Danish for it, and it will be nuanced only slightly. Today, this would be a 30% mix for me with more creams, vanillas and sweeteners. But, it's still good, and if you can't taste anything like me half the time, the cinnamon won't be too bad. Enjoy!

Hey Bill, I have been vaping your Mango Custard for a couple weeks now. That is good stuff!!!! It is now my ADV.

Glad to hear it. That's a true custard, so.....you can mix it with any other fruit and get a different custard. I figured if I can mango, my not so favorite fruit into a decent mix, then many other custards would be possible....and, so they are. Mango Custard:

Mango - 11%
Cotton Candy - 7%
Vanilla Custard - 6%
Bavarian Cream - 6%

A nice 30% flavoring, no chemical taste, no florals, no spice, just sweet yummy goodness. Try with Peach, Cherry, Strawberry, or any berry, dragonfruit, kiwi, lemon, lime, etc. They all work. Thank you, btw. The only thing I really post here are ADV's, even if we can't eat candy bars, or pies, or cereals, etc. all day long. Good luck!

What are your recommendations for blackberry and guava. They are a bit strong.

I have not used either one yet, but I've seen many great recipes with blackberry in them. Blue and Black (?) comes to mind. Guava? I don't know, maybe a custard, just adjust to get the starting percentage right. Neither are my favorites, so I haven't made anything for them yet. I'm about 15 recipes behind right now. Seriously...but I'm getting back in the "lab" now. I made 204 15 ml bottles today, so that was a PITA, and had no time to play. Maybe tomorrow. You folks are very encouraging. I thank you for that!

Indeed I have,. I definitely agree that many base tobacco flavors do not make good SINGLE JUICE FLAVORS. However, they were not meant to be. They are bases, and they have to be nuanced with specific flavors to work, at all. M-type is terrible on its own, even at 1%. But a little of this, a little of that, suddenly MAGIC JUICE. My old favorite was Desert Ship, or Turkish, and that worked pretty good as a stand alone flavoring, or a single ingredient added to it. Frankly, most all TFA flavors are not that great unless they are mixed with several others. I'm game, though. Perhaps we can come up with something decent, and, if so, I will gladly share with you all. For me, it's the journey, not the destination. I may have started DIY'ing to save money, but I do it now, because I enjoy it, and finding the magic juices is not a hobby for everyone, and I well understand that. I bought the original tobacco sampler from MFS a long time ago and made all ten into 10% juices to get a feel for them. Only three were vapeable. But, I've learned a thing or two since then, and I think I can do better this time. We'll see, but I appreciate all the input. I'm a fan of TFA, so I will stick to them, to make my juices work. The last thing I want to do is have to buy all the flavors from another four or five flavor places. No way, Jose.... Two cents.
That's a good point about being a base,i never tried to mix other flavors with them, but the tobacco flavors were very short lived for me anyway.I initially only bought the flavors that were based on tobacco, the m-type,red,asain ry4, & mild black were the first flavors i bought to get me started in diy,the red was the only one that i could handle, can't say i really liked it either, but it was good enough to get me by until i started to find other flavors that i actually liked. The only tobacco based flavor i ever use now is the double ry4,but if you come up with something that makes the m-type actually taste good,i will definitely mix some up to give it one more shot, most of what i have seen you share recipes on sound really good,so i'm sure you will come up with a good one.
I have to agree with the other person though, because of the recipes you have been sharing,i am ordering alot of new flavors haha.It never fails any time i see something that sounds good,i will be missing 1 or 2 of the flavors, but at least if that continues eventually i think i will have every flavor made haha.

If you look at the tobacco recipe that I'm working with, I'm using four different tobaccos and smooth as a base tobacco. Who knows what percentage these will end up with exactly. Will work on that during mixing. After I get the best base I can construct, then I'll start to work on the additives to achieve something distinctly tobacco, but also delicious. This is my goal. Won't know till we try if it's even possible, but I suspect there's a good juice in there somewhere. The starting recipe I outlined was a ten ingredient recipe, a rather complex undertaking. But remember, adding fruits together produces many tobacco bases. Adding tobaccos together is going to produce some interesting flavors, flavors that will be adjusted and nuanced with several distinct and strong flavors that we all like. May end up like super RY4 on steroids with a twist, or something. We shall see. I just need to come up with a good, all-around tobacco, not easily copied, complex, wide-appeal, and unique. Easy peasy? We'll see, LOL. Be fun trying, no matter what happens. I just like doing it and discovering something special. Ciao! Good luck!

I did it I did it bill!!!! My first successful AWESOME tasting juice! And to make it better, it's the first coffee vape I've ever enjoyed thoroughly!!

Caramel cappuccino 1 drop per 10ml
Sweet dream 4%
Sweetener 2%
Vanilla swirl 3%

It's sooooo delicious om nom.

The only thing is maybe I would wanna have a tiny bit more coffee. Somewhere like 10 to 20% more pronounced (it's alrdy distinct now). But I have no clue how to measure and adjust for 1 drop. So maybe I'll change the proportion to 1 drop per 9 or 8ml

I'm also in the mood to make it a little creamier just for days when I feel like a fat boy. Not sure how but hmm. I'm aiming for something rich and creamy like a frapp from Starbucks, so I'm gonna add a little caramel, and maybe more sweet cream or vanilla swirl.

Someone also mentioned that EM (cotton candy) adds a little mouth fill, so I'm thinking I'll add 1.5% EM and see how that goes.

Gleeeee!!

Wonderful News! Sounds great! Let's see Vanillas - Check, Sweetener - Check, Creams - Check, Predominant Flavoring - Check. Yep, that's a winner. Find the sweetspot on the predominant flavor for your taste, and PERFECTION!

OK, to find the drop per ml numbers, use your dropper to fill up say 1 mil, or some quantity that you can measure, i.e., graduated cylinder or something. That will tell you the number of drops per mil. For me, I use 38 drops per mil for my droppers, because that's how many drops make up a mil. The default number is usually 20 drops per ml, but my droppers never work out like that. But, for example, if you do have 20 drops per ml, then 1 drop per 10 ml is then 1 drop per 200 drops, or .5%. If it's 38 drops per ml, then it's 1 drop per 380 drops, or .26%. Probably recommend to try to keep measurements no less than increments of .5%, or higher. Hope this makes sense.

Nice start, my friend. Wasn't all that hard either, was it? Congrats and Good luck!

To add more coffee flavor, you may want to try adding some regular cappuccino,it's not nearly as strong as the caramel cap. so using it to bring out the coffe flavor would be a bit easier i think than trying to use more of the very potent flavor.

Ah. I've tried mixing with the regular Capp. It doesn't really have a decent coffee flavor IMO. Maybe I'll split my current mix into half and mess around with that idea!
