I recently picked up this deal:

Disposable 20 Pcs 1 ml Medical Nutrient Measuring Plastic Injector Syringe New | eBay

20 seemed to be overkill-but it was 1 or 20 lol Spares are always a good thing in my house. I've had a closed head injury, so my hands shake. Which means that stuff ends up on the floor frequently lol Clean Spares will probably be welcome lol

Sent from some mobile device I have using Tapatalk - it's the way of the day!

Great price, slow delivery? I buy syringes by the box too in 1,3,10,20,30,60 and 100ml. The 100 ml is my favorite. But, more important than the syringes is the Seche Vite top coat for the syringes to keep them from washing away the markings. These juices can melt the markings far sooner than their useful lives. Also, Luer Lock tips are a must for me. With Luers, I can use 14 gauge needles for PG, and the plastic tapered tips for VG (that I cut to 'open'). Trying to syringe 100ml of VG without the right syringe and tip is crazy time! I get everything from Amazon. I will have to buy new syringes in about 2025, therebouts....Ciao!

This is IT!!!!!!! Thanks E_Cig! Your tip did the trick!! Just what I was looking for - shake and vape. Recipe is:

Blueberry 8%
Vanilla cake 11%
Vanilla Swirl 6%
Bavarian Cream 1%
Sweet Cream 2%
Cotton Candy 2%

I lowered the cotton candy because of the sweet cream and for me it is perfect. Funny but it also made it 30% flavor. I was thinking "more blueberry?" but definitely not. It comes through softly and pleasantly. And I bet it will just get better because I love it now!

Thanks everyone!! Success is so sweet!

Wow! Great looking recipe. Looks exactly like my 30% mixes.....with one exception. Sorry, missed it. Which vanilla cake did you use?

Strangely, their delivery isn't too darn bad. 10 days has been the longest. (I've got a few other non related items from these folks as well). I ordered something from them two days ago and in an hour it was marked shipped and was tracking by the next morning.

If you want to save a few bucks on the top coat and have a Sally Beauty around - I use this stuff on everything (fishing, hunting blah blah) basically anything I need to keep writing on.

http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/deman...Product-Show?pid=RUSH1&start=5&cgid=Nail15-02

Love it! Not only is it amazing for the above purposes, it'll dry nail polish hard enough to function almost normally in 5 minutes lol

I actually was just thinking I'm going to put this over all my flavor, PG, VG etc labels today lol

b.m., thank you for the detailed reply, I do appreciate it!

Currently, I have 9 syringes, 3 of each of the volumes 1, 3, and 10ml. So I think I'm doing OK with syringes given that I'm making few small batches for tests, to begin. I have 3 needles of both gauges 14 and ... 18, I think, and WL threw in a free in-between gauge needle. I really should be doing OK, I just don't want to cross-contaminate anything, and test a few flavors each sitting. I guess I just need learn to use what I've got, efficiently.

The tip about wicking with silica is very smart, I'll have to see how that works. I'm not used to using silica, nor rinsing an RDA without the intention to let it dry for a considerable period of time (or am I just yanking the silica out, and re-threading after it's been rinsed?).

Mixing is just a whole new world, that requires foreign thinking, for me. For example, I make my living teaching and tutoring math. But when it came to doing the "100 drop sample mix", I couldn't figure out how many drops of 100mg/ml nicotine would get me to, say, 18mg/ml. But then Bill pointed out the right way to think about it: as diluting the nicotine with flavorings, PG, ad VG!

So much of math is just learning to think about things the right way, as in nicotine dilution for the 100 drop sample. Hopefully I'll start picking up the right thought patterns for DIY liquid here soon!

Most excellent suggestion E_Cig. Another small batch today using your advice!

I was perusing my recipe file this morning and thought I would post this. These are recipes for what is called "Milk Stone" and "Cake Stone". They are mixed to be used as a % of flavoring in other recipes. I have not tried any of them, but I think a will be making a few and trying them out in recipes. Some of these list other vendor's flavors, but most do use/can use all TFA. I do not know the differences yet as to companies' flavors, so these are just suggestions.

Milchstern/Milkstone
Bavarian Cream 2.5-5%
Coconut Extra 1.25-5%
Sweet Cream .75-5%
Use to add creamy mix to other flavors; mix 0 nic and use it as a % in total flavor

35% cap vanilla custard
25% cap marshmallow
20% tfa bavarian cream
20% fa fresh cream.

27% Bavarian Cream
10% Coconut
14% Marshmallow
35% Vanilla Custard
14% Whipped Cream

10% sweet cream
20% coconut
45% bravarian cream

PG 25%
Bavarian Cream (TFA)45%
Coconut Extra (TFA) 20%
Sweet Cream (TFA) 10%
Use at 8%

35% cap vanilla custard
25% cap marshmallow
25% tfa bavarian cream
15% flavart fresh cream.

Cakestone V2
30% Flavorwest Yellow Cake
30% TFA Vanilla Cupcake
10% TFA Bavarian Cream
15% TFA Marshmallow
15% TFA Cotton candy
Use mixture at 3-5%

30% Flavorwest Yellow Cake
30% TFA Vanilla Cupcake
25% TFA Bavarian Cream
15% TFA Cotton candy

Finally, as for tasting flavors, I use little 510 bridgeless atomizers. They are easy to use, easy to clean (just rinse with hot water and blow through the 510 connector end) and cheap enough. You can get them stateside, but they are much more expensive. I have about a dozen of these, 6 still in packaging because they last a long time. NOTE: if you use a strong flavor in one, just a few hour soak in cheap vodka and a good rinse usually cleans them out.

5 Pcs GS-Bridgeless 3-Hole Colorful Electronic Cigarette Atomizer - Random Color

Happy Mixing!
This is a fabulous post! A lot of flavor for thought. As a result, and because I keep bumping into this problem flavor all the time now, I'm going to order some white cake and yellow cake from Flavor West. The TFA Vanilla Cupcake is really good, and I use it a lot, but I need some cake flavorings and a base cereal flavoring. So, for you adventurous souls that use these flavorings from other vendors, could you please tell me what the best brands are, and where that I should get them please?

Oooooooooooooooooooo, looks like my TFA mail will be here today! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! (isn't "Out For Delivery" just a terrific thing lol) Here I come DIY Butterscotch something or other lol

Sent from some mobile device I have using Tapatalk - it's the way of the day!

I received juices on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I have a big bake off this weekend....juice baking that is. I listed my target flavors earlier, and I have a lot to do. My tobacco is coming along, and since I can't taste it (tastes horrible to me), I need a lot of third party testing. But I have another bunch of flavors that I need to do. Just re-ordered my English Toffee. As I was putting it away, I noticed I had a full 4 oz bottle already. I immediately thought of other flavorings I could have had with that part of the flavor budget. I'm up to about 120 flavors now, maybe a bit more, but it still seems like I don't have all the ones I need, and, of course, I do have to constantly replace the ones I use all the time, which I buy in the 16 ounce size. I call these my base flavorings, as they go into every mix I make, not all at once, lol, but some of them always.

Congrats on your delivery today. As fast as Linda is, I'm kind of an instant gratification kinda guy, and I'm always ready for this stuff yesterday. Stocking up on the tobacco's (I either had old little 1 oz bottles, or not TFA and old), was a blow to the vape budget. I do plan to name this one Brandon's Choice or Brandon Select, if I can get it to Signature status.

So, what's next.......hhhmmmmmm.....Cool Breeze and Menthol (straight). Lotta cooking to do today. Vape feast at Bill's House...

I'm going to guess Brandon is your son's name... If so, I think that's a phenomenal idea and tribute! Good on ya dad!

So besides the sweetener, which I've seen in the things that you have shared - Original what do you consider your "musts"? I figured at 16 oz, the must is obvious lol

Ya, I'm excited about the flaves today. She had them out the night I ordered. Awesome! I'm hoping once hubby goes to work (midnight shift is a bummer when others want to make noise lol), I'll be up brewing away!

At very least, I'll get the Mango for the kiddo brewing (he's hounding me lol) and research what else I want to brew up this weekend. I found that I still had Pina Colada from another company - so I'm pondering throwing that into my things to create. But have no idea where to go with it

No problem.I learned and still am learning from the people here on the forum,so glad to help others out when i can.Like you,i was the same way, worried about cross contaminating, that's why i started with the pippettes. At the time,my thought was to get 1 for each flavor, and since they were only like .10 or .15 cents each, they seemed more economical than syringes, that is until i realized that i was starting to really pile them up,towards the end of my pippette buying spree,i ended up with about 40 of them, all labeled with what flavor they were used in.Believe me when i say it is a major pain to dig through a large number of them, and it never fails, the one you need will be the last one you pick up at the bottom of the pile haha.I started seeing others talking about using just a few syringes and rinsing them in between,so i gave it a shot, and now i have a box full of unused pippettes.I do reccomend having a few pippettes around though,as certain flavors will ruin a syringe, ripe banana and pineapple are 2 i can think of right off.I had read this before, and when using the ripe banana in a mix,i had my syringe for the other flavors, and a pippette for the banana all ready to go.I got mixing, and was concentrating on what i was doing, and not paying attention to what i was grabbing,i drew some banana up into the syringe, and that's all it took, that syringe was history, almost made me knock everything over too,the rubber plunger instantly swelled and locked it up.So definitely keep a few spares around for in case of a mishap like i had haha. With the syringes, like i said, just draw some hot water into them, and push it out, repeat this a few times, and your ready for the next flavor.Once your done, repeat the water flush, then pull the plunger out,and let them air dry.

As for the silica,no you can leave it in,just rinse it out,and then pulse fire the coil until it turns red and there is no more vapor or smoke coming off of it.This will burn any remaining flavor off the coil and out of the silica. When i bought my rda's,they both came with silica already wrapped with a coil,i got them both about 3-4 months ago,and am still using the same coil/silica that came with them.I have probably dry burned them at least 100 times now,so they last a good long time.

Musts would include:

Bavarian Cream
Sweet Cream
Cotton Candy
Sweetener
Vanilla Swirl
Vanilla Custard,
Cinnamon Danish, and
Graham Cracker

Fruit Musts would include:

Lemon
Apple
Juicy Peach, and
Strawberry

Everything else would be selected for specific recipes, and I have and use maybe 100+ different flavorings in addition to those above, but you can get those as you target specific mixes.

Can't think of a recipe in which I use pina colada.

If I were going to make pina colada, I would make it from base flavorings, not from a mix. :2c: :vapor::vapor:

Bill, or anyone...

You have lots of juice and some of it doesn't get used up right away. Have you ever had a bottle of juice lose flavor? For instance, it just got old; or, you didn't shake it every time you used it?

I have a 4oz bottle of RY4 Double. It has 20% left. I've been using it to find the "sweet spot" for RY4 for me. Trust me - I haven't used 80% of the bottle to find the sweet spot. I've been using it in a mix and realized I haven't been tasting it. So, I'm up to 15% in my little 100 drop test mix and I still can't taste it. Is it possible the flavor settled or floated and I used it all up and now have only PG left?

This is really stumping me.

Whoa. RY4 double at 10% was very strong. Dropped to 8% at 50/50 and it was a lot better
