Glad you like the CD Tim. It's my Go to ADV!

Regarding the tobacco, I've had good feedback on this one which I call Brandon's Choice:

RY4 - 2%
M Type - 2%
Turkish - 2%
Black Honey - 2%
Caramel - 3%
Sweetener - 3%
Vanilla Bourbon - 3%
Hazelnut - 3%
Bavarian Cream - 2%
Sweet Cream - 2%

I made a lot of variations of this one, and everyone kept coming back to this one, including a few people who don't vape tobacco. This is a wonderful smoke/dirty ashtray flavoring like you find in the best tobacco eJuices. Wonderful!

Fantastico!

Thank you, Bill!

TFA Sweetener: is this sucralose like "EZSweetz"?

And do you think I could sub Vanilla Swirl for the bourbon?

Thank you!

Tim

Sweetener is TFA Sweetener. I buy it by the 16 oz bottle as I use it a lot. Vanilla Swirl is sweeter and more vanilla than the Bourbon and would not make a good substitute.....sorry. I tried this with many, many different flavorings over a couple of days. Frankly, they all taste bad to me, but my daughter smokes/vapes, and so do many of her friends. I put it out to them and this was the one that "won" hands down. I also have this being tested on the Strip, but don't have feedback yet, maybe another week. I think it's probably pretty good, I just can't tell myself. Give it a try Tim and please let me know what you think. Best, my friend! :D

Yeah, it's the black honey Flavor that is listed under the tobacco's section of TFA. It's Captain Black, the well-known pipe tobacco favorite. This mix has several different tobacco notes in it as I wanted it to have the widest possible appeal. I think it does that, but I'm still waiting for more feedback. I haven't vape tobacco in a couple of years, preferring the sweets and fruits, as anyone paying attention can tell. Hope you like it, my friend! :toast:

If you want to make great single flavorings with TFA, try adding them to different mixes. They all seemingly improve with supporting flavors. Here's a couple of examples:

Custards

Cotton Candy - 7%
Vanilla Custard - 6%
Bavarian Cream - 6%

Add any single flavoring to this mix for a great custard. You just have to work out the total single flavoring you need, and it's generally going to fall in the 7 - 13% range. I would start at 10% and adjust up or down as required to match taste. I make this with Mango....YUMMY! :D

Chocolates

Milk Chocolate - 5%
Double Chocolate - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 6%
Cotton Candy - 6%
Butter - 2%

Add fruits like cherries or strawberries. Mix in peanut butter, etc. Sky's the limit. But chocolates are tough and require a lot of supporting flavorings to pull off, imho. Also, by adjusting the double and milk, you can change the type of chocolate from milk chocolate to dark chocolate. I make this with Cherries.

Danish

Vanilla Custard - 4%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Butter - 2%
Sweetener - 2%
Waffle - 1%
Sweet Cream - 1-2%

Add almost any fruit to this one for a great Danish. I like it with Peach, but works with apple, lemon, cherry, etc.

Creams

Sweet Cream - 5%
Vanilla Swirl - 5%
Hazelnut - 2-3%
Honey - 3%
Sweetener - 2-3%

This cream recipe is great with fruits and just about anything else. Add single ingredients to this in the 10 - 15% range. I would start at 10% and increase until you find the sweet spot. I use this with strawberry and banana.

Pies

French Vanilla - 4%
Sweetener - 4%
Pie Crust - 4%
Graham Cracker - 3%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Butter - 1%
Cinnamon - .5% (OPTIONAL)

Add your fruit (10-15%) or nut (5-10%) to this recipe for a wonderful pie flavoring. I use this with peach, apple, pecan, etc.

Tarts

Sweet Cream - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 4%
Cotton Candy - 2%
Sweet and Tart - 2%

Wonderful starburst flavoring and great with cherry, lemon, strawberry, grape (with raspberry or strawberry), orange, etc.

Complex Creams

Add strong flavorings of almost anything to Cream Fantastico to make a delicious Complex Cream. This works particularly good with strong cinnamon's, tarts, etc.

Cream Fantastico

Blueberry Extra - 8%
Strawberries and Cream - 7%
Vanilla Swirl - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Cotton Candy - 4%
Sweetener - 2%

This cream mixture mixes surprisingly well with everything I've tried so far. In this way, it can "rescue" a bad mix along the way. So, adding this to other mixes can produce some remarkable results. Try adding this to my Red Vines recipe for example. Had one vendor say that mix was the best juice they had ever tasted. I mixed those two specially for her as she wanted a creamy red licorice juice. She claimed she could taste about 8 different flavorings and was blown away. Glad you liked it miss!

Anyway, if you are just starting out, get the flavorings in the recipes above from TFA. Add your favorite fruits, tobaccos, etc. to them and you'll be making great juice in no time. Of course, all recipes must be flavored to individual taste, but these will get you close, and most folks will like them just as they are.

Also, combine fruits too. Add pear and peach, or any other pairings together in the strengths suggested and make up your own magical juice that no one else has. Put your name on your new creation!

Also, you need a good juice mixing calculator:

eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

Good luck! :toast:

Thank you Bill. Can't wait to try this

Thanks, Mike. I suspect you already know most of this, I just thought I would put it in one place. If you go back through recipes, you can get to the same place, I'm just providing a shortcut and one stop shopping, so to speak. As such, I added this to my blogs and can refer new juice making members to it from time to time. Nothing different here than what I've been writing about for a while now. Many thanks, my friend! :D

Bump............

I seen that post the other day,and meant to comment when i got home, but forgot. As far as ry4 double and ry4 asain, they are very different tastes.I really like the ry4d but the asian is some funky stuff haha,if you want to try it,i would buy the small sample size so you dont spend more than you need to if you dont like it.There are alot of people who thinkit's really good, just like alot think m-type is really good, personally i can't stand either.

On the same note as tobacco flavors,it has been a really odd time the last month or so.I quit smoking back in march, and have been fine up until mid august.I dont know what changed, but now every time i start to get stressed,i get those really bad cravings, getting jittery, etc.,it's horrible haha.I'm thinking part of the cause may be that i have moved fairly quickly,in making changes to my vaping.I started out with tobacco flavors at 24mg,after a month,i started going for fruit/bakery type flavors and never went back to tobacco flavors, but i still felt fine,no cravings, etc.,around mid july i dropped from 24mg down to 18mg,and still felt fine, but less than a month later,i start getting these horrible cravings.I have 2 thoughts to try and help work this over.First i am going to make 1 mix with 24mg,that way i can have it ready if needed, but i also think i am going to try my hand at making a tobacco extract like the ones in the top of this forum section. It's a pretty simple process, just not sure how good it will taste haha.I figure between these 2,that should definitely help me work through this crap haha.

On one more note,i feel like kicking myself.I woke up this morning, and placed my flavor order, just like i do every thursday morning before i go to work.I didn't realize until after the order was complete, that the orange mandarin, that i am positive i added to my cart last night, was in fact not in my cart haha.I think i must have thought i clicked the buy button, and apparently didn't.Oh well,at least there is another thursday haha.

Bet it's the nicotine Bill. Had the same kinda problems when I quit. 2 weeks at 36, 6 months at 24, 6 months at 18, 6 months at 12, now almost 6 months at 6. Some of the jumps were harder than others. The 24 to 18 was the worst. The others happened when I thought the nicotine was too much, which was commensurate with adaptation of better vaping gear, and stronger "vape hits." Should pass pretty quick, and knowing you have the 24 there soothes the mind. I know, I did the same thing. Every now and then I think I want to hit a 12 again, but less and less all the time. From 18 to 6 was cake, as I described. I wanted to go down, the nicotine was kicking my buttsky. :2c:

Haha, yeah that's why i cut down,i had been using pro tanks, and switched over to dual coil rba's and rayon wicks, talk about a kick whoo hoo, haha. That's when i dropped the mg,but i think maybe now,i am getting to where my tolerance is back up,so my body thinks it wants more.Luckily they do pass within 30 minutes or so,with the help of a little chain vaping haha, but that is a horrible feeling, not so bad when i'm not at work, because then i can vape it away, but today,it hit me real good while at work,an hour before break, that was horrible, lasted all the way until break time,it was a stressful day to start with, which i think is what made it so bad today.

Back to the chocolates (above)...

When we do any chocolate baked goods, most bakers add a wee bit of coffee. Not enough to actually taste it however. It's just a complimentary flavor and it tends to bring out ALL flavor notes of the chocolate that you're using in your recipe. Have you found this the same in juice making? Or, have you tried this method even?

Thank you for the boat load of info. My day turned into a nightmare.... so it was nice to come back to something VERY cool!!!!!!!!!!

I AM doing the happy dance however, because TODAYYYYYYYYYYY came my new mod from MadVapes!!!!! Batteries are charging now. Went to my fav B&M to get a crash course in coil wrapping (he's got me sup ohm'ing right now at .5-not sure if that is appropriate for my mixing). Sooooooooooooooo the question is....should I go for a higher ohm coil for taste testing or leave it? I want my wonderful TFA flavors to taste the best they can!!!!!!!

Seems like i'm at bankrupt right now, lets hope my wife dont find this out lol...

Bookmarked your short TFA guide for some comp's with pub and practice. Capella is more elusive in their consistency.

Thx Bill.

Good luck.

We make are own juice so we have the luxury of tuning the Nic to anything we want. We don't have to go by So why such a jump in Nic level? Nothing wrong with going from 24mg to 21mg before 18mg making it easier to transition thus a happier you. I feel a 3mg reduction is better suited in those ranges. No doubt builds, gear, and juice play a huge roll in the Nic delivery. I ADV over 100 watts so 6mg pretty much blows me head off. I make juice for myself at 0, 3, 4 and 5mg and can tell the difference on my setups. A lower Nic is great for some mornings and before bed. Not only tuning flavor to your own preference but many other variables like Nic level make DIY so awesome over store bought juice. Take advantage of them all! :D

I haven't went as low as .5 yet,i usually stay around .7-.9 ohms but i can tell you from my experience, the lower ohms seems to bring the flavor out more in most mixes. Not sure why,but alot seem more flavorful than they do in my other setup that is at 1.2 ohms.

I also should correct myself,i said i got away from tobacco flavors early on,but i forgot ry4 double is technicallly a tobacco flavor.I used the rwhy4 recipe from the recipes section for several months as my adv,but got away from it around the end of june when i started getting hooked on other flavors.Well, just a few minutes ago,i was going through my cabinet and found 3/4 of a bottle from the last mix of rwhy4 i had made back then.First off,let me say that is a good recipe and has good flavor from the start, but let it sit several months and it is fantastic, and has actually got me interested in tobacco flavors again. When freshly mixed,it has a creamy, caramel taste with no real tobacco taste at all, after sitting for a long while, the tobacco really comes out in it,so now it tastes like a caramel tobacco, very good stuff, and i think this may be just what i needed to get me through the cravings.I just wish it was a bigger bottle,it's only maybe 20ml left in it,and i certainly dont want to wait another 3-4 months before it gets to this taste again haha.

That's a good point.I really didn't think about all the inbetween numbers i could of went to,you always see 24,18,12,6 etc. in the premade juices so i just followed suit with that. That may be what i need though, may try maybe half way between at 20 or 21 and see if that helps.100 watts, wow i can see where that would be a mind blower haha,i vaped some 24mg at 15 watts and almost fell off the couch haha.

I did it I did it bill!!!! My first successful AWESOME tasting juice! And to make it better, it's the first coffee vape I've ever enjoyed thoroughly!!

Caramel cappuccino 1 drop per 10ml
Sweet dream 4%
Sweetener 2%
Vanilla swirl 3%

It's sooooo delicious om nom.

The only thing is maybe I would wanna have a tiny bit more coffee. Somewhere like 10 to 20% more pronounced (it's alrdy distinct now). But I have no clue how to measure and adjust for 1 drop. So maybe I'll change the proportion to 1 drop per 9 or 8ml

I'm also in the mood to make it a little creamier just for days when I feel like a fat boy. Not sure how but hmm. I'm aiming for something rich and creamy like a frapp from Starbucks, so I'm gonna add a little caramel, and maybe more sweet cream or vanilla swirl.

Someone also mentioned that EM (cotton candy) adds a little mouth fill, so I'm thinking I'll add 1.5% EM and see how that goes.

Gleeeee!!

Thinking here what do you think about adding some marshmallow, or another thought What about a Chocolate Smore Cap Coffee, by adding chocolate, graham cracker, and marshmallow. I have been so busy as you can see I'm still on the 10 of this month reading this thread, sorry if any of these have been thought of.
