I'm not sure about the smooth... I think it is supposed to add body and somehow enhance the flavor bond or something like that.... if you give it a shot and tweak it, then let me know what you did, K5... I'd be interested in how it works out for you...

I'll go through my notes. I have a few failed recipes I've tried using pumpkin. I think I may have done one with a bit of success. Yours looked similar minus the spice and smooth if I recall.

I'm wanting to mix some white chocolate vapes....with raspberry, strawberry, candy cane(fw), also want to do a blueberry extra/wild blend with bavarian cream or vanilla swirl....no haven't tried the dx versions, heard of them, so if anyone does get soon, a nice compare/contrast, that would be cool to read.

Yes Reni. Missed.

Then after this white chocolate fixation, I think I'll get back to waffles and combos. Unless my interest sways to something else.

Okay, I guess it is finally time for my "Introduction to this thread" post. I've been lurking and sneaking around stealing ideas from you guys and gals for a little while now. I've been vaping for around 5 years, did a bit of DIY back in the day with flavor concentrates and nicotine from Totally Wicked... got tired of crappy juices and started buying off the shelf. Well, now I mostly vape with drippers on mechanical mods with sub-ohm coils and go through quite a bit of juice, and price is becoming an issue. So, I finally took the leap and ordered a whole bunch of stuff from Wizard Labs last week, and everything came in this past Saturday... so, of course, I immediately had to mix somethin' up!

First attempt was a complete disaster, and I'm going to have to re-evaluate my thought processes on my Pun'kin Pie recipe... long story short, too much spice and it all went downhill from there. Dumped it in frustration (only 10ml, so no big loss).

Second attempt blew my mind. It was on par with, or better than, pretty much any juice I've ever purchased! Fairly simple recipe, which I will share below:

Peaches & Cream
Juicy Peach - 10%
Sweet Cream - 8%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 5%
Sweetener - 3%
Cotton Candy - 2%

I think I may still do some tweaking to it, but it was very good straight shake-n-vape... even better after steeping overnight (no temp, just left the lid off and stuck it in a drawer overnight).
If any of you who have a much better idea about this stuff than I do have suggestions, I will definitely listen to any advice that you sage mix-masters care to impart!

Sorry for the long post, but thank y'all SOoooooo much for this awesome thread! It gave me the encouragement and guidance to try this again. I was dreading getting back into mixing because of my previous experiences and was never happy with the resultant juices... now, with this first success, I am extremely hopeful and can actually believe that I can do this........ with your help, of course!

Glad to see ya finally made it over here haha. That peaches & cream sounds pretty good, next time i sit down to do some mixing i'll give it a try.I made a small effort at that flavor several months ago and didn't like the results i came up with,so never went any further with it,but yours sounds like it should be where it needs to be.Glad to hear your wife's doing better also,i didn't know until now,but glad to hear anyway.I know how that can be a nightmare,we went through it with my grandma 2 different times.
Oh,by the way, that package that was stuck in your neck of the woods finally showed up,so no need to stalk the mailman now haha.

Thanks, Bill!! It wasn't too fancy, just trying to get something together that I could vape on... I only made a small 10ml batch to see if it was decent... now that it is, I'll make a larger batch when I get home from work this afternoon. I'll have to pick up some brown sugar, graham cracker and cinnamon on my next order!
So you made a batch from my recipe this morning? If you did/do, you'll have to let me know what you think and if it needs a tweak!

I think I'm gonna have to steal your pumpkin pie recipe (I think I saw one in your blog)... mine was abysmal!
This is what I did...
Pun'kin Pie
Pie Crust - 5%
Pumpkin - 8%
Pumpkin Spice - 7%
Toasted Marshmallow - 6%
Bavarian Cream - 5%
Smooth - 2%
Sweetener - 1%

I do NOT recommend that recipe... at all... ever... for anybody... for any reason...
Too much spice for one... the toasted marshmallow added a very nice element to it though, I did quite like that...

*edit*
Now that I look back, I'm not seeing an pumpkin in your pie blog... guess I'm gonna be back to the drawing board :p

not a bad looking recipe. from my experience reading about the pumpkin spice its to high. make a small batch of this recipe again but only use 2% pumpkin spice. i would leave the smooth out also. this is what i would try

pumpkin 8%
toasted marshmallow 5%
bavarian cream 5%
pie crust 4%
vanilla swirl 2-3%
pumpkin spice 2%
sweetner 1%

could even add some sweet cream if you wanted to. maybe even some cotton candy. both at smaller percentages.

I do have a pumpkin spice recipe, though not of my creation:

Pumpkin Spice Delight

Bavarian Cream - 8%
Caramel - 5%
Brown Sugar - 5%
Pumpkin Spice - 3%

I do not remember where this came from, but it's a recipe that I know is at least a couple of years old, or older. I haven't made it either, but I wouldn't have written it in my notes if it wasn't "hot" to some trusted source along the way. Anyway, for those pumpkin spice seekers, maybe this will provide some clues in the right direction. Seems different enough from what I've seen on this thread so far, that, perhaps, it may be a breakthrough. Two cents. :toast:

Told ya I'd make my way over here eventually... I read through a lot of the thread (not all of it though), there are some pretty great recipes dispersed through here that I'm gonna have to try! I know that I did some math earlier, and a 30ml bottle is less than $2... Sure beats the $15-$25 a bottle that I've been spending... at 10+ ml a day, that crap was gettin' expensive!

Give the peach a shot... it's a bit sweet, for sure... and right after mixing, I could taste the peach really strong, on the second day, the cream came through a bit more... I was definitely impressed..

Ugh... sorry, bro... I can only imagine how frustrating it is to spend the whole semester teaching something to find out at the end that nothing was retained by the little sponges... I couldn't do it, myself... I think my liver would fail worse than the students... ;)

Are you using 10ml per day too? That was why I was looking for DIY but my local Flavors are all horrible.
Was spending $25 per 3 days... Minimum wage here is $200 so it is very expensive.

Bought 1 liters of Dow PG for $5 at local store and 1 liters of VG for $12 also from Dow. Just ordered some sweetener, EM and menthol for $15... Now, I just need to try TFA Flavors to get me $2 per 3 days...

Hopefully I could mix good recipes...

Is PG and VG from Dow is good enough?

I DIY and use fairly good sized quantity bases, nicotine, etc. My average cost for e-juice is less than 3 cents per ml. 30 mls runs me about $.75. I can provide particulars if you need help. Good luck! :toast:

Holy cow! I take off for the night and come back to all of your posts... just kinda blew my mind this morning!

I'll go through my notes. I have a few failed recipes I've tried using pumpkin. I think I may have done one with a bit of success. Yours looked similar minus the spice and smooth if I recall.

Thanks, K5. I'd gladly take a look at your failed recipes... I was really just shooting in the dark when I came up with mine...

Yep, I've been stalkin' y'all long enough, finally figured I'd better come outta the shadows. Thank you for the words about my wife, it's been a long hard road for sure. Sorry to hear that you've been through that twice... I wouldn't wish that situation on anyone! Yeah, give the peach a shot... just don't hate me if ya don't like it! I was quite pleased with it though...
Glad that you got your package... I think the mailman was starting to get nervous. The last package I got was just dropped at the door... no knock, no nothin', just drop and run. I had to laugh cause I was sittin' on the couch and could see him through the window.

Thanks, Nate!! I'll definitely give that a shot... at this point, anything would be an improvement on my first attempt. Sadly, I didn't think that even bacon could save that one...

Yep, I go through at least 10ml a day... sub-ohm dripping definitely has it's down sides. I couldn't tell you anything about the Dow PG/VG, I've never used it before.

Thanks, Bill! I know that part of my cost right now is that I bought the little 8ml vials of flavor from Wizard. If I bought it in larger quantities, I'm sure it would be much cheaper... Wizard only had the little vials, and I'm not sure how much of what flavor I'm gonna use the most yet, so I just figured a bunch of small ones would be less waste if I really didn't like something. I'll definitely get with you to see where you get the larger bottles at some point though! :)

Lots of talk about Juicy Peach mixes on this thread lately. Jo asked me to update her Peach Cobbler this weekend and had some suggestions. This is what she ended up with:

Jo's Peach Cobbler

Juicy Peach - 12%
Sweetener - 4%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 3%
Sweet Cream - 3%
Brown Sugar - 2%
Graham Cracker - 2%
Cinnamon - 1%

This is Jo's all day vape (ADV). I remember when she/we started vaping full time a couple of years (we started in 2009, but had setbacks), she varied her likes and often changed the flavors she wanted. As such, it motivated me to create about 150 different recipes over that time. Now she's vaping one ADV, like me and my Cinnamon Danish, and I have probably 45 bottles of different juices in the Juice Cabinet, so she can vape whatever she likes at any time.

Well, that simplified things. Now instead of the 150+ bottles of TFA flavorings I now have, I only need 10. The really great thing is that I can actually remember one or two formulas and don't have to use my calculator to make her juice. That certainly speeds things up. As long as I make juice in multiples of 100 mls, I don't even have to do any real math to make juice either. So, my job just got a lot easier. Megan moved to Phoenix with her job and a fresh start (our 21 year old), so now, we have probably 3 gallons of juice (made), and we use two types. I no longer sell juice, which was fun for a while, but too time consuming in the end, and I already have two jobs, and see the direction that juice sales are going anyway (and that would be down in pricing thanks to competition), and it's no longer really lucrative, but it was always only a hobby anyway for me. The sales did allow me to develop new flavorings, buy glassware, stock flavorings, and progress in DIY, so it was very much worth it, but not something I ever saw as a long-time opportunity. I do this for fun.

Maybe a vape for another year, we'll see. I don't see doing this for the rest of my life either. Certainly the novelty is long gone. I'm at 6 mg/ml now and could drop to 3 and then zero over six months probably, and then I don't really see the point. But, I have no expectations about anything, and for today, I do love vaping, and my little P3 is rarely out of my hand. Yes, I'm a chain vaper, so it will be an effort to give up, but the nicotine is not like it was with smoking, but it is enough. So, that's today, and we'll just have to see. Hope you like Jo's Peach Cobbler. I enjoyed making it for her. Love you Jo! :D

P.S. She'll never see this, but who cares? This is for all of us anyway! :p

That sounds awesome, Bill! And thank you so much for sharing your story with us!! I've been vaping for about the same time-frame as you. It has definitely been an adventure, and it seems that our paths, while slightly different, are also pretty parallel. I started at 36mg nicotine (mostly RY4s at the time), I'm now down to 6mg, and mostly fruits and custards... life certainly has a funny way of throwing coincidences into our path... :)

Somewhat of topic but figured the best place to ask. My latest TFA package tracked and showed delivery today. Got home today and no package, first time this has happened to me. I've called and notified USPS at there 1-800 # and got a case number. Person on the phone said I would be contacted in 48 to 72 hours. Guess my question is what can I expect from here and is there any advice from those who have had a similar experience?

Sorry this happened to you. Could be an error about the delivery, and it shows up later. Only time my items did not arrive as stated was a loss on my part, as I recall. Hope this works out for you. Good luck!

Hopefully your's will end better than the times i've had that problem with the post office. We have a very good mailman where i live, but any time he takes a day off,it goes very bad.3 different times that we had a sub carrier on days that i had packages coming, and all 3 times i did not get those packages.2 showed they were delivered and 1 was returned to sender saying my address did not exist haha, when the sender got it back,i had them verify it had the correct address on it and it did,but it doesn't exist according to the idiot that screws up my mail every time he delivers in my neighborhood.Anyway,to get to the point, the 2 packages that showed delivered,i contacted the usps customer service, and the supervisor at my local po,and never got anywhere with either one. They asked the carrier and he said yes he delivered them to the correct address, the same address he claims doesn't exist, but once he said this, they basically told me i was out of luck.Hopefully you will have better luck, but i have lost almost all hope with the usps anymore.

That's why I got a PO box. I was tired of missing packages, and packages left out in the rain. I can't imagine getting someone else's packages and not either returning them to the PO or bringing them to the correct house, but apparently I am in the minority.

At least now, I get a package slip in my PO box, and have to go to the window to pick it up. Less chance for errors that way.

I've had this happen a few times over the past couple years, and so far (knock on wood) even though the tracking stated it was delivered, I didn't receive it until the next day.

Hopefully this will be the case with yours.

I have had this happen with a shipment from Provape and others never TFA;

I agree with Bill I have had stuff to show delivered and it shows up a day or two later, even had the stuff show still out for delivery and I already have it, and last but not least delivered, and signed for by no one living at my residence, and of course not getting the package!

I live in a rural area and our various carriers have been caught scanning stuff before it is actually delivered, and not scanning stuff that has already been delivered!

Shoot most recent was I bought a genuine Patriot 26650 atty., and it showed at the post office (in TN), then out for delivery, then back at the post office, then back to California.....it took almost 14 days to get it from Cali to TN...my atty took the "scenic" route...:D

Of course there was nothing a miss about the address or labeling...just good ole' USPS!

You did the right thing, give them a couple of days...

I've done away with using the pumpkin "spice". I thought the pumpkin alone had enough spice to it as is. I may give this pumpkin recipe a try minus the spice, although I have no smooth, whatever that is/does.
I think your right about doing away with the "spice"
TFA Smooth really has no flavor unless you use at real high%.(I'm told)
It's classified as a tobacco, but too me, it's useless as a tobacco flavor.
But .... it is great added to some fruit recipes as it does add "body".
I don't think you'll have any problem making the recipe without it.
It's an "extra" as far as the recipe, and definitely won't make a flavor difference.
I haven't tried any "pumpkins" recipes yet, as I'm too hung-up on my gingerbread recipes.

Yeah I've had packages show as delivered, and got the next day....seems usps is a little chaotic during the holidays...happened recently with my key lime and coconut....said delivered to my front porch the day before and was in my mailbox the next day too. Hope you get yours soon.

So I mixed my white chocolate trial blends this am, just kept it simple for now with 10% white chocolate and 5% supporting flavor to see what I get initially, and I have a 15% trial of ry 4 double to try soon, mixed when I was sick and loopy so will have to see if went too high with % or not, didn't use supporting flavors either, so....???? Not sure what to expect.

Also thinking of trying the rice krispies flavor with marshmallow and a little butter, might do that before the waffles/fruits.

My mom is thinking of tobacco vapes to kick that am cigarette she's finding hard to let go, all I have is the ry 4....sometimes it's hard to mix for someone with a different flavor profile...gotta sort of figure what type of tobacco taste she is wanting, I had bought her some from mbv and Johnson creek, but they were sort of yucky. This might be challenging, not impossible just challenging. It would be easy if we had similar tastes, but they are quite differing....have to narrow some variables down, get her to a sampling bar to get ideas what she wants and likes.

Edited to add...omg! The white chocolate/candy cane smells so good, I think I'll try it next tank:)
