Yeah I'd like to hear something on the Australian Choco....I haven't had much luck with my Inw milk chocolate...I've tried it from 2-6% and it's just kinda, well....putrid tasting

I've read the Gold & Silver is well liked. I haven't tried the Australian chocolate either.

I"ve tried it and will be getting more .it tastes like a euro chocolate ...aka heavy coco

OOOH, didn't want to hear that about the Milk Chocolate
I was REALLY looking forward to finding a good chocolate with HS
I have the Australian too, but haven't tried it yet.

I'm vaping the G&S right now. I mixed it solo at 8%, and it has absolutely no flavor at all.
Granted, my taste buds leave a lot to be desired, but knowing your preference in tobaccos, I'd say you would need to use about 30-40%
Personally, I plan on just using it as an additive to other recipes for "body", very much like TFA's "Smooth"
Now, on the HS Golden V1, at 8%, I wrote "yummy" in my notes, but it's mild too.

Actually I added 19 drops right from the bottle. G&S has this fruity taste along with a blond tobacco. Not too bad. I'm kinda upset that the Highway didn't have that nutty kick like I had before. I probably mixed in too much.

At 4-5% g&s is super strong for me in a flash e-vapor clone/ dripper. Minimum of 3 and 5-7 days steep is all it needs in 100vg, I think you may have went over board. What type of atty do you use. I do like strong tobaccos Arabic is mostly my adv.

@finixx
I think I like the USA mix more than the highway. Reason is the highway is a little more rich. I've had usa in the past.

I mixed it at 24mg, in 70pg/30vg, at 8%
I mixed it on 7-15, and tested it on 9-8, so almost 2 months old .. plenty of time to "mature"
I used a mini protank on an ego,... that's mostly what I use for testing, since it so easy to re-wick, and switch flavors ...(using KD cotton or cellucotton).
Drippers, and I don't get along too good. :sneaky:
Got all kinds of dripping gear, just never took a liking to it, ...could never get it to work right for me ..either leaked or was to dry
Sometimes I use a Vamo, or ProVari to test, but I still use a Protank, big or little, because of the glass (for testing)

Arabic !!!, yup, you like it strong.
The bottle I have will probably be buried with me, ..3/4 full

I smoked for 56 years, and not all of the taste buds found their way home !!, ..so I just can't taste some flavors no matter what.
Coconut, Blueberry, Cheesecake, forget it ...did find FA Bilberry, and it's a pretty good "Blueberry" for me ...at least it has a flavor.
So ... it's probably just my problem that I can't taste the G&S ... for me, in my case, I'm thinking of upping the % and trying it again.
I noted "hardly any flavor" in my notes, so sometimes adding more fixes it.

I have thought maybe I overdid it on some flavors % I've guessed at, but all it ever did was kill any "slight" taste I was getting when I diluted them.
Just me and my funky taste buds I guess. Sometimes, more IS better

5.4mg nicotine - 60pg/40vg - 6% flavour.

This is one of the only liquids that smells exactly like it tastes and how you'd expect it to taste. The banana is more prominent than the chocolate but they compliment each other well. I'd rather it the other way round though. After a few vapes you start to notice the cocoa taste just as much as the banana.

Surprisingly.. it's not too sweet or overpowering and I can use this all day without it getting sickly. I also added some premix vanilla to it to try and boost the choco flavour but HS vanilla is a bit artificial and sweet so didn't compliment it.

Throat hit is OK - vapor is huge.

(still looking for a more subtle/creamy alternative to HS Vanilla - was thinking cocoa? please advise)

To enhance the creamyness or thicken the texture add .5% EM or marshmallow.

I also wrote a blog on working with or enhancing the flavor of chocolate have a read.

Understanding the flavors you’re working with and how they interact and enhance 101.

A chocolate recipe and why it works. An example on why other flavors enhance the base flavor.

Chocolate is very hard to get right and it's even harder to find a chocolate flavor that works. With a little work and experimentation you will find that flavors that you think would ordinarily not go good together actually work good to enhance the base flavor.

base 35PG/65VG/12 - 18mg (your choice)
Hangsen Chocolate cream 5% (ECX)
TFA Hazelnut 2% (TFA)
Hangsen toffee 1% (ECX)

Now here's the break down of why this flavor combination works.

The hangsen chocolate cream gives the mix its chocolate base

the hazelnut does not add a hazelnut taste but in fact enhances the chocolate taste.

The toffee does not add a caramel taste but adds a sweeter creamy taste to the chocolate.

The heavy VG base gives a sweeter thickness to the entire mix.

Steep for a week or 3 hours in a UC. Out of this world chocolate vape.

Good luck and happy vaping.

Thanks Danny

I test all my flavors solo when I get them, just to get a feel for them, see how strong they are, and what they might add to a recipe.
I tried the HS Chocolate Cream starting at 6%, and went all the way to 13%, before I made a note beside it saying "no taste"
I'll give it one more try using your recipe, since I only tried it alone.
I always thought a touch of vanilla brought out the chocolate (like in the kitchen), but chocolate, as you say is a tough one.
About the best I ever found was VZ's Chocolate Truffle SCG, and their Cocoa SC
They were mild, but fairly good flavorings
Off to the lab :p

Thanks mate.

Could you compare the Chocolate Cream to the Hangsen Cocoa or Vanilla please? I'm looking for a subtle chocolate more on the creamy side than sweet/artificial. Will definitely give your recipe a go as it sounds spot on to what I'm trying to achieve. I will try it with and without the toffee.

OG hangsen guys swear by 3-4% way back in the thread.

Once I trusted it my flavors were correct.

Chocolate at 3-4% - anything? You can cut some of your mix already made at 12 with Base to try it.

I had a similar hard time with Churchill in the beginning. Didn't steep well before I initially before manipulating %- 5,6.5, 8,10,12 still not there. Later happened to cut it to 3.5% - there it was...

Sometimes you have to let the flavors come to you. It's possible to expect too much and then over kill it before you let the taste develop on your palate... If your not getting anywhere going higher - well you gotta try going lower..

Yup, that what I try as a last resort ...once in a while it works for me, but most of the time, it's a waste of base.
BUT ... that's basically a personal problem, since after 56 years of smoking the taste buds just plain didn't come back home.
There are a lot of flavors I can't taste at all, at any %
And of course, it's some of my favorites ...coconut, blueberry, cheesecake, caramels, chocolate.
I rely heavily on my HS tobacco's ......love'm ...and no matter what, I know I have good vapes to turn too.
