That's right..!!
See you've been round since 2011

Back then it was recommended on ecf quite a bit, before the next shift in the market round mid2012- 2013.

That's where I got hooked on hangsen. My first "ego" and "stardust" (horrible) along with their Hangsen in house pre-made. After bout 3 months I went DIY. I fiddled with different brands trying to replicate hangsen for a while... Always missing the taste, nothing was quite as good to me, ect. Then I found HS had concentrates...

LOL! That's where I ordered my first gear. 2 510 manual batteries, the charging case and a pair of LR 510 attys. Also had a bottle of BWB Menthol tobacco, 24mgs, the best Menthol tobacco I've had to date. Still can't replicate the stuff :D

Man, you went DIY quick. If I knew how much cheeper it was back then I might have done it, but I was scared I'd blow too much money (which did in fact happen the first time around).

Cool!

Yeah I started vaping to save money, and avoid exorbient sin tax on cigs.. Almost went to ordering cartons on the D Low from Germany or something. Almost got suckered into greensmoke or whatever, prefilled cartridge ripoff... Research on Ecf turned me quickly from that road, in the direction I needed to go. Tried 1 vape pen from the gas station. It was Good, then ordered my ego kit from LF that night.. The tester was an Old school blue ecig? I think. That was really good too, the Tennessee or whatever from Johnsons creek. Really Good flavor too,(I thought at the time) never forked over the high price for their juice though.. Maybe I would now for a taste, hmmm.

Ecf showed me the way, it did take a lot of time reading the forum before and after. In all that reading I caught on quick to the savings in DIY. Had a budget all figured out and stuck to it..

Red Oak Tennessee Cured Tobacco E-Liquid Johnson Creek Vapor Company

That was the last commercial juice I ever bought. June or July of last year. It was the reason I started investigating DIY. I searched high & low for a clone recipe of this stuff, but couldn't find one. I gave up looking, but got hooked on DIY anyway, and found Hangsen.

I still have half a 15 ml bottle of the Tennessee Cured, sitting here. Haven't touched it since last July. Making too much good stuff myself now, with the Hangsen.

Yeah, that's why I haven't really touched it since. It was great when I first stopped the cigs. It kinda got me over the hump, and let me know a smoking substitute was possible with vaping, but now the flavor just feels 'heavy', or too much. Maybe I'll just fill the other half of the bottle with my PG/VG base and see if it's vapable. Maybe at 50% I could at least finish it.

Well, I've just climbed out of a deep rabbit hole of Youtube videos on RDAs and rebuilding and I came upon a vid where the guy was rewicking a Joye Ego One with rayon. Never had it, never used it, but now I'm very curious. After spending several minutes on the forum, I found a big old thread on rayon started by none other than my good buddy from the Hangsen thread, JeremyR

Now I must have glanced at your avatar hundereds of times, JR and I never thought to ask about it. :D Think I'm going to go hunting for some. Can you point me in the right direction when you get a chance?

Slots, I got some INW honey on the way. Gonna try HFC part 2 soon! Just wanted to mention that I'm mixing it up with some HS Flue Cured, ya know, to have something Hangsen in this post so I don't get thrown off the internet. Got another intersting ingredient coming too to add to this concoction. I'll report on whether it works out, or not mention it at all depending on if it's gross or not...

Edit: I found part two of the thread. What a writeup! Now you guys got me wanting to try TC, lol!

I tried the Honey at 2% ... it was mild .... the big surprise was it's not sweet :w00t:
But, it's a good flavor .. you just need to add some sweetener if you think you need it in the recipe.
It's weird to have a good honey flavor without it being sweet. :p

Also, if you want some rayon to try, I have a bunch too, like oplholik, and can send you some if you PM me your address.
Anyone that has bought a box of rayon from Sally's, will NEVER have to buy any more, and is willing to share

Jeremy is the man! Rayon is all I've used for the last year, maybe 1 1/2 years. It's great stuff and you'll definitely notice more flavor. I personally recommend combining with temperature control and rarely see a scotched wick; though, like cotton et al, the wick will eventually clog. I generally double the time between rewicking by soaking in cup of water boiled in microwave then using paper towels to dry the atomizer and draw the moisture from the wick. However, with 497 feet to go, I'll quickly rewick if scorching or loss of volume is evident. Enjoy!

Wow, ... your a lot more fussy that I am.
I just rinse the atty under hot water, check to see if the wick is scorched, squeeze it dry with tp or kleenex, fluff it up, screw it back in the base, fill the tank, and puff away.
I really do like that they rinse right out, nice and clean under the faucet... better than the old cotton we use to use.
I probably get away with that about 50% of the time .... then if they gurgle afterwards, they are wore out, and I have to replace them.
It also depends on the old flavor .. if it was a strong one, I'll use a fresh atty.
Some things you just can't rinse out :w00t:
