I go by smell if you want the true full flavor... By that I mean it should taste like it Smells. For newbs i think more needs to be said for steeping these.. For me they are starting to come well rounded starting at 3 weeks. The red seemed quickest, desert ship was not good at all right away but is now pretty good. Highway is now becoming true and nuttiness is peaking through where I had none before. These are
All at 6-9% so far. Churchill isn't popping for me yet, I've had about 4 30ml premade bottles of this before so that's what I'm
Shooting for.

Would hangsen veterans have a minimum steep time to test a flavor.

When I first made the Honey Highway for my friend he didn't like it now that it has steeped for a month he loves it.

I'm going to make some for myself and let it have a long steep. ;)

I have Capella Spearmint and it's super strong too, I can't imagine a more concentrated one!

Have any of you guys tried HS Peeper/Pepper/Dr. Pepper soda flavor? I ordered some today hoping it's sort of like the real thing.
The Dr. Pepper I do have. It tastes more like rootbeer barrel candies to me.

Thanks Jimi. Not what I wanted to hear but thanks anyway. haha I haven't had one of those candies in years, might turn out pretty good after all.
My hopes were high on that juice. It still tastes good though. But definitely not Dr. Pepper. It is missing the most important note. Prunes.

Let us know when you sample that mint Michael. I have spearmint, menthol, koolada, and creme de menth and so far the only one that was a disappointment was spearmint, as even at 1% this stuff is overpowering. My hope is that the mint you sample ends up being a bit mild and a good mixer.

Will do, I'm hoping it's a winner!

2 things I wanted to know..

Trying to buy hangsen flavorings from hangsen but can't find anything but a kit and I JUST want flavoring.

Second, I am hoping they have a cucumber only (not cucumber mint) and hoping they have it.

Thanks

sent from my phone via tapatalk 2 because I can't stop reading and posting on ECF

Hangsen USA red is ashy. A good quality if your looking for a USA cigarette flavor.

Yeah, I was just talking within the four I had mentioned. I know that ashy flavor in USA red, but I don't like it very much. Actually, I have noticed that if you order Dekang or Hangsen (I've tried a few premade including red) that they are often inconsistent on how much "ash" flavor there will be, and even in which flavors they seem to add it to. I've ordered from LiteCig and it seems to be in everything, and once I ordered a Virginnia flavor from somewhere else where it was so strong it literally tasted like a bucket of water with cigarette butts floating in it (I'm sure everyone has smelled something like that before.) It's almost like vendors keep a bottle of ash on the side, and just add as much as they feel like. But more likely there is just a lot of inconsistency coming from the manufactures, which may even explain the differences some people detect in getting Hangsen flavors from different vendors.

Let us know how the 7% works out on the RY1. I agree that the flavor is a bit light with that one, but I've yet to go as high as 7.

I've tried it now, but I think I will stick to 5%. RY1 is subtle and it makes you want to turn it up, but to me it seems when you do, it brings out things that are not so good. It's like it's good precisely because it's subtle. It seems that Indian is similar in that respect as well. Though 7% might be good if you're using a lot of VG, I'm using a 70/30.

As far as steeping goes, I'm one of those people who don't believe too much in it. More specifically, I think everything does need a few days to taste right, but usually after that the flavor just gets worse to me. I find some variation to this when using lots of different flavorings, and particularly natural tobacco flavors, they might benefit after a week or so. This is what I've determined mostly from ordering premade juices, but also from when I would occasionally mix them, they definitely need a few days to blend together, but after that I seem to prefer freshness.

This is just my tastes, and I am a newb at DIY, so maybe these Hangsen flavors will change my mind. I doubt it, but I do have 50mls of four different flavors mixed up, so they should all be pretty well steeped before I finish them.

I've tried the blue cola and it's very good. Try a drop per 10ml of lemon juice in it for an extra kick.

I'm surprised that you don't notice that tobaccos mellow after a certain amount of steeping. THis is what I find and thus how I arrived at 7%.

So wait, has anyone found a vendor selling smaller bottles of flavoring yet?

Nope smallest that I can find is still 10ml. I've herd that there are smaller sample packs offered directly from hangsen but they don't ship to the US.
