I'm in the same boat. I just stopped smoking 4 months ago after 45 years of smoking. Look at my highways recipe above. As an ex-smoker I think you'll enjoy that.

Gonna try it though as always, I have many of the tobacco flavors but of course not Highway. Gert Dern!!

What is Methyl B and where do you get it?

Methyl B gives the mix a chocolatey, mossy, fruity note. It's used to add fullness but it's notes are very subtle @ 1%. Use 1% and measure carefully its very potent.

Perfumers Apprentice - Methylbutyraldehyde 1% (PG)

AP @ 1% Adds nuttyness although highway is pretty nutty already it may be overkill. I'm steeping it now so I'll find out. But I love nutty tobaccos so it should be fine.

Perfumers Apprentice - Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (PG)

Did the blue cola and at 3% found it very weak after a good 4 hour steep in the UC. Went to 6% and steeped and it was better but still weak. Then went to 8% added 2% sweetner (Not EM) and steeped another 2 hours and perfect. Maybe my taste buds are dead but who knows. Also had to go to 7% on the highway. Now I've been using the Hangsen T5 for a while and it is my ADV and I use that at 7% so I guess for me 7 - 8% is good for the hangsen flavors. Now I am measuring by % and ml's and not by drops so that may account for it So the cola went like this for my 5ml test.

Blue cola .4ml = 8%
Sweetner .1ml = 2%
Cocoa .05 = 1% (May boost the cocoa to .1)

Well, I am LOVING the Red Cola from Hangsen. So many options there as Michael pointed out... Adding cherry/etc. RY1 I'm still not sure about but it's not awful. I'll keep messing with it. I'm no expert at DIY and have the patience of a 1 year old.
I got the same impression from the vanilla. I thought maybe it needed more steep, or a different percentage. So far it just tastes like butter. I got the mocha flavor too, and it mostly tastes/smells buttery. I thought at first that I might have made a mistake and mixed the same flavor twice. Nope, they're different... but both buttery. I tried the SC vanilla too, and just don't get vanilla from it. Not butter, but not vanilla either.

I've been very happy with Hangsen and SC tobaccos, but I think I should just stick with that. Aside from Hangsen espresso I can't think of a non tobacco flavor that has worked out for me.

You're making me want to add the red cola to my cart Rin! Only hesitation is that I don't care for cola flavor lol. :)

Does anybody have any experience with the hangsen flavoring a from rts?

I have the hangsen ry1, ry4, and tab from rts. They seem to be the real deal and in glass bottles to boot. I had some troubles on my first mixes but I had the percents too high plus I had went to a 65/35 pg to vg base only to discover that I really prefer a higher vg ratio.

I'll be able to use up these flavors, but I don't think I'll reorder. They may be just a bit too smooth for me lol. I've been vaping over three years now and my taste buds have recovered quite a bit, but I think I still prefer the harsher flavors from FA and TFA. My favorites at the moment are TFA american red, ry4d, FA 7 leaves, and royal. They're all very different and make a great rotation that keeps me interested.

I do have some hangsen ry1 and FA 7 leaves steeping that I'm looking forward to trying. I'll post on it here in a week or so. :vapor:

I might be pushing it on this flavor combo.

I have some Strawberry and Toffee that I'm going to mix together unless someone has a better idea.
I had to dig this Toffee out. Tastes like that Fiddle Faddle candy coating. Time to make a coil for some :p

My taste buds should be superb. Haven't smoked in over 5 years. I guess I'm just weird. Lol. Curious to hear how the cocoa turns out mixed with the Cola.

Honestly I didn't notice much from the Cocoa but the sweetner really made it pop. I decided to go with the sweetener (sacarlous) and not EM because it seems to pack more of a sweetness punch at lower levels then the EM. EM I find good in tobacco because you have more control over sweetness level with EM when looking for just a hint of sweetness..

I made Blue Cola And Green Dew the other day. Started at 1 drop per mil and then increased them up to 7%, put them in UC for a while and then tried them. They were just meh. Smelled the Green Dew and it was kinda funky. Blue Cola was very weak smelling. Revisited it again starting at the 1 drop per mil thinking I had over flavored them. Now I am thinking maybe I need to go up to 8%.

Danny....are you going to try increasing the cocoa???

I don't know if it's the same but I used 3% of Red cola and it more than enough flavor

I'm testing the blue cola out again starting at 1 drop per mil. This time I am not going to jump up the % fast like I did on the other bottle. I think you're a superior taster. My taste is really bad even with every day foods.
