AP is one additive I think is horrid. To be fair, I've only made one mix with it at 1%. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but even when I put a drop or two of the 1% AP mix into a clearo filled with something else, I can still taste the AP and I don't like it one bit. I like nutty. I don't understand. I want to like the AP but I just don't.

I feel the same way. I put 2 drops in a 10ml mix and it was NOT good. I did read somewhere here that someone dilutes it quite a bit and then uses a drop of that. I can't find the post at all and I don't remember what the dilution was.
I made a nut mix out of 1ml VZSC Almond, 1ml VZSC Hazelnut and 1ml ECX Flavor Express Walnut. It's really tasty and nutty and it doesn't have that AP thing going on. It's nice (a few drops) with tobacco, currently Black Cigar.

Which reminds me...do any of you know if there is a Hangsen equivalent of Black Cigar/Black Mile, etc?

If you like nutty then I'm surprised you don't like the AP. If your using it at 1% it sounds like your using it correctly. What did you use it in?

I used RY4 Double at 8% and 1% AP, 50/50 1.8% nic. It's steeped for at least a few weeks now- no change in my distaste for it. I also tried putting a few drops of this mix into other tobaccos that I had in my clearo, which of course diluted it even further, and I still didn't like it.

I was just thinking, I have "smooth", but haven't used it yet. Would that mellow down the AP?

Maybe the problem is your adding AP to the wrong tobaccos. RY4 is a sweet tobacco mix and don't usually have AP added. AP is not good for any sweet, fruity or creamy tobacco mix. You will usually find them in the dryer tobaccos such as highway, red or a 555. I tried AP in ry4 and I also hated it. but in a dry tobacco it is heaven. If you have a plain marlboro type tobacco try it in that you will see what I mean.

It's possible. The reason I tried it with the RY4 is that I saw other recipes that combined the two with success. I don't have any 555 flavoring to try it with. I adore the Hangsen 555 pre-mixed stuff, especially when drinking a beer. I just sniffed the 2- the Hangsen has more of a peanut-y smell, my mix is just weird- more like corn chips or something.

Try the hangsen T5 which is hangsen replacement for 555 or highway which is nutter then T5. And if your tasting corn chip you added to much AP. If your overly sensitive to AP (which some people are) you can try
Trimethyl Pyrazine which is a nutty flavor that has a mellower impact and thus has a wider working percentage range. I wouldn't make jokes about the polish I have some polish blood in me as well.

BTW

The Espresso is Strong at 3%

Fwiw, I mixed it @ 3% & 5%...far too weak for me. But then, I always get 'double shots' in my lattes. I haven't tried it higher/alone. 'Next try will be at around 8% with a smidge of some kind of cream for a bit of sweetness & depth (in my experience, the various creams usually weaken the other flavors). The HS Espresso (to me) needs a lot more 'depth'. It's like a coffee flavored wisp-o-wind rather than a thick, heavy fluid (to me).

On the other hand, the typical recommendation for FA Espresso & Cappuccino are 5% - and I thought those were perfect at 5% - they were just WAY too "dry" to vape more than a couple of hits (my mouth was dry/rough for hours afterward).

I have some Hangsen Vanilla that's suppose to be very good. Anyone have a recipe or a good starting percent? Looking for a creamy vape with this vanilla up front. TIA

Vanilla is good mixed with other things if you just want to vape the Vanilla try it @ 5%

Hangsen recommends 5-7% for their Flavors.

@Jimi do you think the premixed Hangsen represents the flavoring? I want to order some Ry6 but might throw in some others.
Yes they do ! I matched the flavor level and longevity on the aftertaste with the non tobaccos. They all pop at 5%.
The tobaccos I haven't really played with yet.

Also the Hangsen nic, pg, and VG are very clean. I've never tasted juice so smooth and crisp.
You know Hangsen should pay you for advertising...LOL I want to pick up some desert type flavors to try before I buy the flavoring to mix for SIL. She is down to 1mg/mL nic....I envy her. I am still at 12mg/mL.
Any recommendations on a sweet fluffy type flavor?

LOL I know, right !? :D Ever since I've been running my mouth. I see a ton of reviews at Caterpillar. I'm trying to boost sales so he can bring in the concentrates :D I still like my 16-18 mg on my smaller devices. I'd lose my mind if I dropped my nic :D

Here's a menu of the fluffy stuff. The Cheese cake looks tempting :)
