You have been a member of ECF for only a month, you do not have any JBOX order- so you have ZERO involvement in this matter, the first quote below you posted on 12/30 - right after you joined ECF - and even tho you said "I'm done..." you continued to post all the rest. Vape Team Shmape Team. They are covering their butts by being quiet, nothing they can do anyway. You are adults. You are a fool if you expect something like the Shmape Team to have no bias from the start. It's guys who care more about their friends than they do about you and that is how it always is all the time everywhere else.

Don't trust people with more than you can afford to lose. Assume that you are never going to get your JBox and try to get your money back from your card. If you can't get your money back from your card then you have two options: criminal and civil complaints, or surrender. The shmape team is a waste of your energy and a distraction, that is a useless avenue.

It's a hard, hard world and that is why you shouldn't put much stock in any online community even if it's one that accepts you.

I wouldn't go that far. I'd call BS on the notion that online communities carry the same weight as conventional communities. If you part of a local vaping community where Jason was a guy who lived across town who you knew pretty well,this wouldn't happen the way it's happening. It's fine to have an international online vaping community, just don't send people hundreds of dollars assuming it's safe.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect him to post a weekly update for those 27 outstanding orders. Nor would it be unreasonable to demand a refund right now. If he refunded some of those orders then it would be easier to fulfill the remaining orders and this could be over, for a price.

I mean he wouldn't be exactly left holding the bag on the declined mods, right? Presumably they are worth something and can still be sold to someone else.

I think they're nervous because they know this is a criminal matter at some point.

Not really. He was a host on shmape team. Just because somebody pops in on one of these venu's doesn't mean you hand them any credibility.

I don't know how you can think that after being burned yourself. Cisco, good vendor, good host, good vapor. Jason, bad vendor, good host, good vapor. You would think Jason is like Cisco because they are both on the same show. By being on the show you think he's straight up, It is a conflict of interest to create an unbiassed appearance and have vendors as hosts. They should only occasionally appear as guests and not participate in the editorial content of the programming. Omce they are involved in that it becomes an infomercial.

This thing is a vanity item. The people who paid for these can wait if they have to.

The main problem with this guy is lack of communication. That and the possibility of him being a con artist.

I'm sensing some sexual tension between Zapped and our forum mother. I haven't felt this uncomfortable all year.

The most likely explanation for all this is that he started out with good intentions and he let things deteriorate into this. He does not strike me as a very responsible adult.

I could use a mechanic for my Volvo. I had a bad wheel bearing and I was going down the highway at 65 and the wheel came off the frigging car. You can imagine. Had most of the repairs done after surviving the crash, but the car makes me nervous now.

Yep. But it did survive the ensuing absolute wipe out pretty well. It didn't roll, it spun like a top.

I have a 240 DL. It did a 360 and landed on the shoulder like a boat.The wheel went flying in the air about 60 yards and was red hot, causing a grass fire, I had to hop a cattle fence and putout the fire with my fire extinguisher right after the crash.

Replaced the whole rear axle and differential assembly. Was back on the road in two days a thousand dollars lighter. Then went back there and them replace one of the front struts with a used one because it was bent. The whole weightof the car came down on it during the spin. That was another 250 bucks. Could have got a Jbox with that.

I didn't see any cows. It was 20 degrees out there, I should have let it burn a little longer until the tow truck showed up. The cop was pretty glad I had the fire out and a truck on the way so he let me sit in his car and surf the internet.

I am an independent sub contractor in the drilling and exploration industry. I drive a lot. Occasionally something goes wrong. I carry around a lot of tools and a fire extinguisher. I'm just glad this didn't happen in heavy traffic.

I had to dig around all over the car to find my provari after the wreck...everything went flying, then I found it.

I built a mod for myself in just the last few bumps of this thread. This is getting ridiculous, these things are not that complicated. You connect that DNA board to a switch, and a connector and that's about it. Other than the fancy shmancy housing these things are simple to build. He would be making a hefty profit off you guys by just not ripping you off.

Nope, it's going to make the plaintiff look like an internet addicted stalker in court and be a total distraction garnishing undeserved sympathy for the defendant. The instant you do that they will obtain a restraining order against you and he'll try to find a way of mentioning that in court.

These cases are decided by 300/hr attorneys. That's pretty much what a judge is, Your loss of 300 dollars six months ago is going to seem trivial if you go overboard.

Still say it's a bad idea. Probably the worse idea so far. Trust me on this one.

If thats the case then youve been scammed for two items now, first Chopperguys and now Jason. Maybe theres a reason for that?

Post like these calling for sympathy, patience and understanding for people that take advantage of others in this community not only enable that kind of behavior but also encourage it.In short its part of the problem and isnt going to go away until well-meaning but misguided people like yourself realize this.

Yes, I did order from Chopper and was one of the first - just like I have one of the first JBoxes. If you check the Chopper thread, you will see I recently posted pics and it appears he is working on getting devices done. I happen to believe neither of these two people are scamming anyone. Granted, neither handled their situations well and for that there is no excuse. But I do believe both will get cleaned up.
