Hey all, ordered a juice Box on 1/12 and can't wait! Ok, I can... which is a good thing 'cause I'm gonna have to. Said 6-7 week wait time when I ordered, so if that stays accurate I should get it around my birthday! Woo hoo!:w00t:

Already ordered batteries and charger which should be here Tuesday. I wonder, would it be silly to have them charged and waiting so far in advance?

Thanks all JB owners who have posted their impressions. When it gets here, can I join the Wuss Club?

Thanks especially to Carlos for thinking this thing up. Genius!:w00t:

thanks all! Rimp, how can you tell if they are in stock or not? I see no indication, but the prices are great even without a discoount!

When you pull up the list of batts look to the far right under the price, if it says sold out then...:) I've bought lots there, no probs:)

Your batts will sit on the shelf with a full charge for quite a while. So, not silly at all. In fact I would recommend it.

I don't know how many times I've seen the post over on the Chuck thread that says, "yay I got my chuck today:w00t:, now I'm just awaiting for the batteries to charge ":rolleyes::rolleyes:

Charge your batts when you get them. If for no other reason than to test your charger and batts ;)

Thanks ping. I was gonna hold off til maybe mid-Febuary because I thought the charge might bleed off or it might damage the battery (paranoia I guess). Like you said though, it'd probably be a good idea to make sure everything works in a timely manner. I got 4 3000 mAH 18650 so I can be away from a charger for like 3 days before I really need to start worrying. Probably overkill, but 4 is when the bulk price kicked in, so I figured WTH.

1 Question...best battery??? 2400, 2600, 3000 mah??? what's the best??

I think the more mah, the longer it will last between charges. If I'm wrong, there will be 30 posts correcting me.

I just ordered a plain black one. (Or as Clumsy called it, the pretty sparkly black one, I'm not sure.) I mulled it over long and hard too, LOL! I ran into the same problem I always do when considering a tattoo... I either know what I want or I have the money for it; the two never seem to coincide. Oh well, if I ever make up my mind, I'll just order another one. Can't have to many good PV's, right?

That's a tough one, and all differences can be subtle. Some feel the 3000mAh batts have pushed the technology a bit too far and that the 2xxx series are better. Some say the TrustFires are better than the UltraFires. A more universal general consensus is that the AW brand is the best, and although the mAh ratings seem low they are accurate.

I bought a Protected AW 14500 (750 mAH) to replace a TrustFire 900 mAh batt. I like it. It maintains a higher initial charge longer and it does last longer overall than the TrustFire. Gets me through a work shift just fine. I'm hoping that longevity will be better (more charge cycles). But at about $10 each some folks, I assume, would rather have multiple cheapies.

I use both the 2400s and 3000's in my chucks. Personally I can't tell any difference in hit between the two. Although technically the 3000's are going to drop less voltage under load.
The 3000mAh will last 20% longer, but (in my chucks) I change them out every 2-3 days, and I have yet to see one drain to the point that it 'needs' to be charged with either the 2400s or the 3000s.

Oh yeah... as far as the design, I figured I can throw on a sticker at any point (and just change it out if I tire of it.)

Besides having to get the extra help, he's also had problems getting enough of the black project boxes. So far, the timeframe on the website still stands, but he's hoping that will change soon.

And yepster, the jb is only listed as using the 18650 battery. However, different versions of that battery by different makers can have different mAh ratings.

So why is there a availability number for the juice box if the are custom made?

I think the number is the maximum number of orders carlos can deal with. He is one guy so it allows him to catch up on old orders before taking new ones. I know he just started taking orders again not long ago. I could be wrong though, I am only guessing.
