Hello my lovelies.

Day wasn't too bad as far as crazy stuff goes, but did have to deal with a couple of idiots who thought I could read their mind apparently.

News on the truck looks like it's the timing chain...at first they called and said we needed a whole new engine...I was like I don't freakin' think so...called the bf and had him talk to them and lo and behold after more research, you know actually looking at the darn thing and not just putting it on the computer, they actually found what was wrong...bf had thought it could be a possibility, but since he had it changed a while back and it only had about 1000 miles on it he ruled it out...I guess that's better than a whole engine.

Was going to comment on a few things but the boy just came back with dinner and I'm starving so I'll have to try and remember what I wanted to say later....BBL.

Wow!! Sorry about the truck. But so glad he doesn't need a new engine. Good thing you guys know a thing or two. I hate to think of the poor soul that wound up paying for a new engine because they didn't know

Yup that's a spanner wrench,try rapping a towel around and jerk it or find a pipe that fits over it for an extension SS would be best

I hate to think of the poor soul that wound up paying for a new engine because they didn't know

When you break one of those it all depends on if it's a clearance engine or a non clearance engine,if your mashing the gas and it breaks on a non clearance engine most of the time the valves smack the pistons and that can be a mess.on one where the valves cant reach the pistons when it breaks it's not so bad

Yeah definitely should have lasted longer than that...bf is pretty miffed at the guy who did the work last time...I'm not happy about it, but I suppose it could be worse.

That's exactly why I do my own work on my stuff whenever possible,been burned a few times

Yeah unfortunately the big stuff the bf doesn't do...he has a good guy he uses for stuff, but the timing chain he had done by a different guy...definitely won't be using him again.
