I will grill in lighting storms because too many trees and an aluminum awning over my head so I figure if I get hit it was my time and I went out the best way possible BBQ'ing!

    That's the spirit

I have been told I was crazy for going out and firing up the coals many times but never heard any complaints at the dinner table!
    :thumb:
I don't love mine yet ... still too much to learn. But I think I'll like it just fine once I get it all straight in my head.
Although I may be putting in a lot more hours than I want once I take over the accounting

I do that too :DHey we're talking BAR-B -QUE :drool::drool::drool:
He has in the wind, just hard with a gas grill. Does wind slow down a charcoal/smoker?
It was easier at the lake, our upstairs small deck was some overhead cover, and because it was a walk out, and the grill was positioned on the low side, there was better wind break.
We have a fence now, but high wind nixes it.
    I nix it in lightening.

    No awning.
My second largest one in nice weather :)

    Good night Lori

And Steve, OBG and Kad ... I'm out for the night ;)

Good night lovely and handsome Lurkers
    Sweet dreams Dale.

Not much if you point the air vents the right direction, the coals get going faster :2c:
Oh, that would get them going faster. :)
I don't even know if we own a charcoal grill anymore.
Do smoked meats ever give you heartburn? I can't eat it if it's HEAVILY smoked.
It's always given me heartburn, even as a kid, and from many sources, not just one cook.
A guy at work smokes stuff all the time, and brings stuff to share. I often have to pass because it's too smoky, but others have zero problem. It's very frustrating for me, because I love it, it just doesn't love me back. :(

    Enjoy your TV show.

Sweet dreams OBG, and to all the Lurkers.

No heartburn here, different wood taste and digest differently I almost always use fruit woods now it has a lighter milder almost sweet flavor. Can't stand hickory anymore and mesquite isn't far behind :)

Another thing I found out from one of my books is not to soak the wood in water because it makes soot when you do :2c:
