Oh, okay.

Ewwww, that IS chilly. :(

Hope the storms miss you, but if you need rain, hope you do get that.
When do you normally warm up and stay warm? Ever?

Also, how do you do your chicken in the crock pot, I think you mentioned you use chicken breasts, but that's all I remember.

Is the weather up there similar to Brooklyn?

I figured that rain would make it's way to you.
Colder, that surprises me. Do you think it's warmer there because it's closer to the ocean??

Me either, but I figured it was an option ;) Glad your storms are gone. Cooler today, but the sun is out. Different story tomorrow. Think your storms will be here by the evening.

Nope, nope! Not an option! Makes me feel like I have to pee all the time

Wheeee!! Grocery shopping done for the week and it wasn't awful :)

Still have floors and toilets to do

    Good morning Lurkers :)

Should get a nice storm today, it better not go around us! :glare:

Storms went through very early this a.m., before 5 a.m. I could hear fierce thunder cracking, rolling closer.
We only had some heavy rain though once it finally got here, but is sure was loud.
Now it's just raining off and on, gray and gloomy.

We got a little over 2" since last night here :)

I actually went and looked at the latitude earlier, but didn't know exactly where you were.
Prob other things that play into it too, but interesting. Wouldn't have thought it was further S.

Hoo boy! Needed a quick break. Been working pretty much non stop. Made bacon in the oven, 36 pancake muffins (most for the freezer) couple more loads of laundry, all dishes washed, rearranged a couple cupboards, half the windows washed downstairs (inside only). Still need to vacuum and wash the floors.

Is the weather up there similar to Brooklyn?

This May has been unusually wet and cool. Last year we were in the 70s and 80s the whole month. I have a feeling it will be like this for June also. Next week we are back in the 60s w rain. I mean c'mon Mother Nature, this is ridonkulous. ;) :D

The NYC area is typically warmer than WNY. We have two Great Lakes to contend with. Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. So in the winter we usually get hammered with snow. Summers here can be 70s-80s. Sometimes low 90s. Last summer we had drought like conditions, they say that is not likely for this year. I always say, if the grass isn't crunchy come Sept we had a crappy summer. ;)

We get a big package of breasts, today there were 6. I use a cup of unsalted broth and season with some garlic powder, italian seasoning and pepper. Cook on low for 8hrs and they fall apart as I take them out. Shredd, put in freezer bags, flatten the bag with my palm and they are good to go. We use them for tostadas, chicken quesadillas, bbq chicken and to put on top of salads. The boys like to use bbq sauce for the tostadas and quesadillas, I put hot sauce on mine instead.:drool::drool:

DH just informed me the irises have buds  Omgosh, so excited. :)

You've gotten A LOT done today!! Way to go!!!
All that food prep helps so much!!

Sounds great on the chicken! Thanks for sharing! :)

Heck, that's N of Chicago. For some reason, I had it in my mind that you were around Kankakee, even though I knew that wasn't right.
    No kidding you're cold.

I looked at the Google images of Marine Park area. That looks like a nice area.

Bwahaha. Well at least you warmed up some ;) Thanks, not much to it, just trying to keep sodium down for DH and easy meals for the week.

Ohhh, a nap sounds good right about now. ;) I'll settle for a strawberry daq, more to do today. Feels never ending.

The food prep does help tremendously. I've learned not to wait til everything is gone and spend the weekend cooking. I get angry as a bear then. Yw on the recipe, though not much of one. Just a way to get the chicken cooked without using oven and being able to use it different ways.

Sorry your allergies are acting up. :(

Chops and tators in the oven for dinner. Off to make a salad to go with.

Hope you're all having a good afternoon. :)

We're having Cherry Brats, mac and cheese, and ? something green, not sure what yet.

Don't you work in Wisconsin? Was thinking you did.
DH likes some kind of beer that you can only get in Wi.
A couple equip distributors that we sell their equipment are in Wi. Someone from work usually goes once or twice an year, and DH has them get some. Plus, one of his customers up N likes it too, and goes a couple times a years and brings some back.

I should have but didn't want to waste my time off

    I know, I usually don't nap THAT long. :(

DH ran to the store for me...I had tuna on the list, it was on sale for 99 cents.

    Yep, I was LMBO!! :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
He said the guy who bags the groc. (which is usually the mgr.) didn't seem pleased that he'd bought so many, but if they didn't have a limit, not sure why he'd care...I mean, the sale is to SELL them, right??
If there was a limit, he should've said something. :2c:
I don't have their sale ad, not sure if it's online....going to go look.
