Good evening Lurkers.
Back to work tomorrow for me.
It dawned on me this afternoon that I still had some things I wanted to get done.
Nothing like a final push before the long weekend is over.
Oh well, I work better under pressure.
Give me three hours to get something done, it takes no time....give me three days....oh forget it.
That's okay, I had a mostly relaxing weekend, those are good too. :)

Not much else going on here.

Good evening, Lori  I feel like I could have written that word for word. Except, I had to work today. Lolz!

I have a long list of to dos, the weekend comes and sometimes nothing gets done. But then invite someone over for dinner and bam, I'm rearranging cupboards that have been on that list for months :w00t:

I have a Rubbermaid tote full of kiddo's art work from 2nd grade  Um in less than 3 weeks 3rd grade will be done.

So much to do, so little time, so little energy.......

I know, and I sure wish I could tell you it gets better as you get older...but...
I think about all the things I used to do/get done and think nothing of it, now it's sometimes like pulling teeth.

I'm hoping, and I hesitate to say this, because I don't want my sweet boy to grow up too fast, that when he's out of the house, college or whatever, there will be more time. Bittersweet I suppose, no more sports, school activities, morning and bedtime routines. But then the house will be empty. Eeeesh. I think I'll just go back to ignoring the artwork. ;) sounds way better than the latter.

Lori, that is so me...when I have a short time to get something done, I can move mountains...when I've got plenty of time, I'll procrastinate until I reach that short window of time left to get it done in.

Was a very busy day at work today...I knew having yesterday off would back me up...but at least the day went quickly.

Dinnertime...guess I'll be back in a bit.

An empty house...gee, I'd like to find out what that's like (remember mine are all grown )...Wish I could say there's more time, but I feel like I'm busier now than when I was younger...and then I was going nonstop...guess it never ends.

Sorry, guess that doesn't really help.

Glad your day went quickly. Short week, so that's a positive. ;)

Maybe @57chilicat will be back, she'll be retired come Friday at 9 p.m. Maybe she can tell us if it gets better when the nest is empty.

Yep, same here.
THAT'S the irritating thing. If I could just harness that mountain moving energy for the WHOLE weekend...

I'm only going to drop this here. I'm getting ready for a battle and I'm not up to updating my status all over the forum. It's not fair to you nor anyone else that is looking for information.

You all are friends and I just need strength which I get in spades here.

This is where I am updating....my first home on ECF: Heather's Heavenly Vapes - THE BIG THREAD (Part 6)

Probably not the right thing to do but there are so very many here that I truly care for. I can't pm everybody and I would be sure to miss someone.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop Robin, I'll run over and read the newest here in a moment
We know how strong you are and you can whip this. {{{{{hugs}}}}} for you!

Was an incredibly long and busy day, got home about 6:30. Back went out on me about 4:30  Going to have to remember and take my back belt with me for these hard days.
Supposedly tomorrow is going to be a short day, I'll believe it when it happens ;)

Oh man, Dale. You are just having a rough go. Fingers crossed it's a short day for you. And please, don't forget that belt. Don't want to hear about you being laid up ;)

Oh my! You do get use to the empty nest! First my boys grew up and left and I work days and hubby worked nights, I grew to love the quiet peaceful times after a noisy day in the classroom!
Now Mr. Chili retired before me and there is NO quiet - alone time.
Each phase in life brings new experiences and changes, but they are all good.
What I'm afraid of is that I will have so much free time that the baseboards that have been screaming for a good cleaning will now be heard and I won't be able to ignore them anymore!
I'm like Angel. When I have very little time I get a lot done! I'm actually afraid I will get less done with more time on my hands :shock:

I know you guys aren't "stocking up" these days, but did you see MyFreedomSmokes was hacked again?

Things that make you go hmmm...I just went through my old emails because I couldn't remember if I'd ever ordered from there. Sure enough an order was delivered at the end of July and two weeks later, there were fraudulant charges on my Discover card  Not saying it was because of them but sure does make you wonder. Especially since it sounds like it's happend with them a couple of times.

I ordered from them quite some time ago, I don't remember there being any problem.
I think it's just a common thing now. If it's not one, it's another...sad to say.
Your best bet is to use a card that won't hold you liable, or use one that you can generate disposable #'s for online shopping. I can do that with my Bank of America card.
It's an extra step, and you sometimes have to call to make sure they don't hit it for a dollar, or a penny first, cuz the number is a one time use only.
Most can take the cc number over the phone too.

Put the belt with my work stuff for in the morning ;)
We just handled a lot of meat today, that means lots of bending and lifting.

And I've already coughed myself sore

This is me too ... when I wasn't working I'd let stuff slide, can't do that anymore :nah:

Take care of yourself Dale! Maybe a nice bubble bath is in order
Had a hot soak first thing Chili :) Then put a pain patch on.
