Hope you're feeling better, Dale. At 5 am there was an hour wait at the local YMCA for next year's after school program for kiddo. DH got there at 6:15 and waited about 45 min. We've claimed a spot.
Woot!!! It's crazy how long the wait list is. Last year we mailed the form. We were told the wait list started two hours after registration opened.
We were scrambling to get a plan in place. (Didn't have this problem in previous years) A week before school they called to let us know they added a couple more counsellors and had a spot. Pheww.

Thankful for my break today from the craziness at work.
Today they will be closing out May, and trying to get everything "in" so they can run May statements. Tensions run high every first day of the month.

I've become such a homebody. I used to never mind shopping and running errands, and at the time, never even gave it a second thought.
Oh well, sounds like the village has a project of some sort going outside. If I'm gone I at least won't have to listen to the back up beeping of the backhoe.
Tonight is music in the park, they've been doing it for a couple years now. Every Thurs. evening in June, from 7-9, some bands are better than others.
They set up very close to our house, so we kind of can't escape listening.

Alarm fixed itself?!?
They called this morning and canceled the appt. said everything corrected itself. Then I get in the car and somehow the touch screen radio froze, couldn't chg station or turn off. When I got to work I turned the car off and back on and the screen went black but radio was on. Left for lunch and voila, it's fixed kinda creeeeepy.

These would be country(ish) bands, skirting on polka bands, one band last year was a Jimmy Buffett knock off type band, but they've seriously only been mediocre bands at best.
Budget type bands. Which is totally fine, not knocking them (at all), cuz the village does this for free.
Which I think is REALLY nice. Was just clarifying the types of bands that play.

Lunchtime flyby...headache's gone, but oh my what a day it's been so far, as you can see from how late my lunch is...the good thing is I'll have less than 2 hours when I go back...oh and the rain has actually stopped for now, we even have some sun right now...but it's supposed to start again late tonight and pour tomorrow.

I know exactly what you mean about the day seeming long and not seeming to get much done...that was my day in a nutshell...for a short week, this has been the longest short week ever! And yes, I'm still behind.
