Good evening lovely lurkers.

I was right about the rain...was short lived and then the sun was back out and things were just steaming. :glare:

You know, for those of you with the pool...there's a solution to the burning scalp thing...wear a hat! :p;)

Dale, sounds like you were having my kind of day, with the late lunch and all...hope you're not there too late.

Trying to decide what to have for dinner...nothing's really jumping out at me.

Yes, a hat in the pool is really a great choice, and a great fashion statement. Just look how this pink cowboy hat enhances her outfit.:D

    Hi Dale. ~~~~~~
I'm just now eating too since I had a late breakfast. :)
Sorry you're going to have such a long day. :(

    :thumbs::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
It's been a bit of an adjustment for me eating wise, I'm normally hungry between 10 and 11 a.m. By 1 I think I'm starved!

Dale, Maybe he'll finally buy some more. Hope you remembered your stash!
Bet you a dollar he doesn't buy any this week ;)

Not too bad Angel ... actual work time was nine hours. Course I've been gone 10 hours

I had the same thing I had last night ... DH is at the church and I didn't want to fix anything

Nine hours is still a pretty long day...I used to work 12 hour days when I worked at the steel pipe plant...I would come home and fall asleep as soon as I got home...didn't help that I had an hour drive each way too, so a 14 hour day...gee, I'm glad that job didn't last! ;)

Looks like burgers for dinner here.

    Hi Angel.
I even have a sun hat. I bought it years ago in FL., hand carried it home on the plane so it didn't get mushed, never think to wear it here.

    Bet he doesn't either!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I saw something in a magazine today and thought of you!!
I'll see if I can find a link online!!

Sounds like when we worked where we do now and lived at our other house. Hour commute each way, and our old spring hours were 7:30 to 6 p.m.
We'd grab drive thru, or something leftover at home, bathe and go to bed.
    Was miserable.
Can't imagine 14 hours a day all the time.
Pulled some long ones around holidays at the flower shop, but that was seasonal, never an everyday thing.

Exactly no way to live Dale...that's why I left there...plus I knew the place was getting ready to start laying off people, so I got out ahead of it, but I just couldn't hack those hours after a year of it...you're right Lori, it was miserable...never again!

It's a Yorkie collector figurine!! Saw it in a magazine.
