I was also lucky in that my brother does construction work and my ex (we were still together then) was a builder in the Navy, so guess who was the first person in my neighborhood to get their house fixed. ;)
But I still witnessed the devastation on a first hand basis and daily through work...that was when I learned more than I ever wanted to know about construction.
    That was lucky for you!!
Had to have been a horribly sad, depressing time.

    Hiya lurkers :)

Bad week at work, I have been soaked 4 times I also slipped/fell on my .... and wrenched my back. I have not been in good mood all week long :-x
 Sorry you had such a bad week.
Hopefully this week will be better. :nun:

Does anyone else suffer Mondaitis on Sunday night?
*ALWAYS*, what Angel said, usually starts about 4, sometimes 3. :(

All the time...usually starts around 4 on Sundays for me. :glare:
    Yep, me too!!

Ready for DH to start the grill. We're splitting a ribeye., going to steam some broccoli to go with it.
Have had my shower and am already in lounge around clothes.
Have switched back to stitching on the throw.
I'm going to go back and forth. I'm really burnt out working on the throw.
I was looking at a website that carries out of print magazines, and different things that are no longer made.
They had the same afghan fabric that I'm using, only with the country blue accent.
It was just over a yard, mine is much larger than that, and they wanted $95.00 for that piece of fabric.
I didn't and don't want any, I won't make another one. I was just being nosey at what they charged.
    Holy cow.

Found one of the two magazines I'm still looking for on Amazon.
They're asking $17.99 for it...they can keep it.
I'll find them someday. Not paying stupid money for them.

I'll have to come back around for dessert.
    Saving room for dinner.
But, that yellow cake looks delicious!! Wonder if it's lemon cake with lemon icing?

Dale, I'll take some of all 3! I'm ready for desert. The rain tapered off for a few and ran picked up a pizza for dinner. We have officially hit 20". Forecasted for 12-18 more by Wednesday. Oh well, as long as the house doesn't float away and the power stays on, it's all good. Just wish it would stop for the Houston folks. Off for a little desert now. Watch something on TV other than the 24 hour coverage of Houston.
