Well drive home was not too bad, but now since wife has appt to go to tomorrow, I get to clear all the ice and snow off the car now.:nah::(
...reminds me of a time DH had been out of town, he'd parked in long term parking (uncovered) at the airport, only to return to about 6 inches of snow on his truck.
He'd been to FL, so had on a thin pullover, his coat was in his truck...
When he started to get off the airport shuttle, he mumbled something to the driver about how fun it was going to be cleaning off the vehicle...the driver mentioned that there was a quarter inch of ice under the snow. (funny/not funny)...doors frozen shut...ice scraper and coat inside the truck...he plans ahead now, his credit card was a poor ice scraper.

R1, Paul, Chili, ole folks...and any other Tx person...hope your nasty weather doesn't last!!

This is just round one. Sleet and rain on tap for Thursday as well. Time will tell if that's going to cause any issues. The stuff that's supposed to start tonight after midnight promises to cause all sorts of havoc around here. They're now saying "significant" ice accumulations. **sigh**

This is why remote start is WONDERFUL! Set the heat settings to volcano, lock up the car, and when you get back, fire that puppy up without having to scrape and chisel. :D

Good evening Lurkers, long day as expected.

We’re looking at similar weather, was misting on me all the way home tonight. If temps fall like they say and it keeps misting we’ll be a solid sheet of ice in the morning .... they do say we might get an inch of snow

Hope the boss don’t get stuck in Searcy cuz we have lots to do!

*sigh* is right on that forecast. :nah::nun:
    There will be issues...
Just like the guy crossing the street this a.m. along our path...leaving a popular breakfast (local) restaurant, there was a car ahead of us, that's it...the roads were fairly clear, but wet, and it was 20 something degrees, so iffy if you really had to slam on your brakes...slush/snow along both sides of the street, the man could not wait until two cars passed to cross the street to his truck.
DH anticipated it, the car ahead had to stomp his brakes. Thankfully it wasn't slick and they didn't fishtail (at all) cuz he'd have gotten clipped...
    ....can't fix stoopid!!

Wish we had that...a few people at work have it.
This was DH's work truck/company vehicle. No remote start.
I do think he has power windows though, I think it was going to actually cost extra to get it without.

    I figured you had a long day.:nah:
Be careful if you have to get out in it!!
Surely hope he doesn't get stuck and can't get to work!

Well, that's about it for me tonight.
    Sweet dreams all.
