Good morning Dale and Lurkers

Yesterday was a nice quiet day, we had blt’s for lunch and dinner was bbq’ed burgers and brats. We also watched bad boys for life which was pretty good :)
    Good morning Joey

Good morning Dale and Joey

Yum!! Sounds like great food to be had all around.

Looks like it’s going to hot and muggy today. Hope the ac can keep up. Felt like it was running constantly yesterday.
    Good morning Sara
Are you complaining about the heat? :sneaky:

    Me????? Never!! Lol!! ;)

We have a crappy ac unit that is too small for the house. It tends to freeze when it’s really hot out and then can’t keep up. DH’s cousin was going to switch it out for us in April before their busy season hit but then everything shut down and well, we are in the busy season so no changes until fall or next spring. I have all the plantation shutters closed up and put some kraft paper up on the French doors to the patio to keep the sun out as that is where the sun comes into the house in the afternoon. Currently 90 out with a real feel of 102
House is 70 and the ac seems to be doing ok. Wow, Dale....we beat you again in the temps

Went for a swim, came in to shower and the water shut off  they are doing something down the road but it would have been nice to have some notice.

Maybe get a window unit to help the central a/c out.

Nope. We clearly weren’t thinking during the planning stages, especially when we will be getting up there in age, eventually ;) I joke we’ll need one of those motorized seats to make it upstairs. With the crappy ac it’s significantly warmer on the second floor but we all have ceiling fans, so nighttime is not unbearable. My biggest concern is keeping it from freezing, remember last year it thawed on the circuit board and we had no heat in the winter. I’d prefer not to repeat that lol I’ve turned it up to 73. Still seems to be keeping up decently so that’s a plus.

My handy work. The top half is up cycled package cushioning that I took out of the recycling bin. The bottom half is from a roll of kraft paper we had. Definitely working to keep the heat out.

Welcome to WNY weather. It actually snowed on 5/9 and we had freeze warnings. This week it’s in the 90s

Good evening Fran and Dale

Enjoy your time with your dad, Dale.

Usually these temps come at the end of summer. Yep, we’ll be about the same as you tomorrow, Fran.

Happy to report ac is still hanging in there.
Glad your ac is still working okay :thumb:

Guess dad is done, he stopped texting :?:
