Got a 53-minute walk in but had to hold the umbrella the whole time. All-day long we have had nothing but rain. The jammies and the hot tea come out early today. viannen_39.gif

I've been seeing these advertised in numerous emails I get from various gun shops across the US.

Up until now, it's been nothing more than a mild curiosity. Then I read about these things spreading along the east coast.

Joro spiders likely to spread beyond Georgia

I'm ordering two.

    Good morning Rat2
    This years ;)

I’m watching Kalli today, our latest granddaughter. 10 months old and a busy little girl.
Omy! Dad is still waiting on last year. I know you are having fun and will probably go to bed early tonight. I know I would. 76e0a3d0-a3f0-48e7-a3d8-cc69a2a7c0c1.gif

Joro spiders are relatively harmless to people and pets, making their presence more of a nuisance than dangerous.

Joros won’t bite unless cornered, and their fangs are often not large enough to break human skin.

I think they're pretty cool looking spiders.

Hi Dale and everyone else! :D

Uh huh. Until the first time you lay eyes on one of those spiders. Then you'll be digging through this thread looking for the link.
Oh shudder! I really really don’t like spiders.
Dad recently got bitten in the chest 4 times by a recluse, he’s in bad shape.

I hope your Dad gets better.

Hard to believe Retired1 is afraid of spiders and might be arming up.

A buddy of mine used to have a female tarantula named Wally. o_O She was a big girl and very friendly. I used to stick my arm in her tank and she would crawl up and sit on my shoulder. Never got bit. She enjoyed being gently stroked along her legs and body.

She was a little smaller than this one...

Same buddy also had many really cool snakes. I loved his Boa named Frank. He also loved being handled.
