We bought a ribeye today so after cutting the steaks I used the trimmings to make vegetable beef soup with cornbread. It was good.

I usually try to feed dad a meat and two veggies but I went to the grocery store today and the hamburger patties were calling my name. So I had a cheeseburger with a big o'l slice of onion. Went well with the potato salad I made yesterday.
I went back out to walk after cleaning the kitchen. Only made it 30 minutes cause it is still 84 here and I started sweating. I think it also had something to do with the full tummy.
My prayers were answered today because Walmart was out of chocolate-covered donuts.

Rough day (nasty customers), dh offered pizza and I all but jumped at the offer

Hate to hear about severe weather for you girls. Hope it’s not too bad.
Yesterday was a better day!! Kiddo’s last band concert was last night. Titled Bandalorian and all the 3 bands (grades 6th, 7th and 8th) played some Star Wars pieces. Bittersweet as he has decided to drop band next year in High School. Disappointed that covid robbed us of concerts the last 2 years. But such is life. It was an awesome concert.

It is his decision but I am glad he had the experience. Covid robbed many people of things they can never get back. Really sad. I was never allowed to join anything I wanted to when I was in school. But it did not keep me from loving music. It may have something to do with I have taught myself the guitar and ukulele. Next, I think I am going to try the piano. I have my daughter's keyboard. I am not very good at any of it but I enjoy learning and making some kind of noise.
I know pieces of several songs so I always tell people if they ever want to play Name That Tune, I'm their girl. heehee
Glad we got the yard work done today. It was pretty nice because it was cloudy. Still sweated but did not bake. Glad we got it before our rains. I actually hope we have hard rains so as to get the rest of the pollen out of here.

Would have loved to have joined Girl Scouts. Guess we got the rain you’re hoping for, lots of thunder and lightning, hard rains, flooding as usual.
Pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and broccoli was for supper. I’m probably going to pay for the broccoli
If you saw all the stuff I carry in my pocketbook, you'd think that I was a Girl Scout. I'm ready for just about anything. Also why my bag weighs 10 lbs and my back hurts.
