Good morning Rat2 and lurkers

Blergggg I didn’t want to get up today

Hate dealing with doctors and appts too. Fingers crossed you get in touch with them today.

I would have eaten the garlic bread too lol though I do love lasagna. I was bad and snarfed down 4 pieces of pizza. But…..it’s a half sheet pizza that’s cut in 12 squares. So maybe 2 1/2 real slices?

I am glad dad has an appointment with his heart doctor today. Maybe he can recommend another place, other than his primary care doctor to get one simple, silly lung x-ray. I have reached the maximum BS limit I set aside for the medical profession. I have had years of different issues. My insurance changed and I had to find a new primary doctor and I am so thankful because I have not had one single issue with them. I am not sure if I can get dad to change his doctor but. . . I'm gonna try.

Whew! I feel better.

Thanks, but I am not going to hold my breath for any changes with him.

The visit ended up being with his cardiologist's nurse practitioner and I like him much better than I ever have his doctor. So much so that I asked if he could do his yearly exams instead of the doctor. He was so friendly and explained so my father could understand. Answered every question I had on my list.

He also thanked me for having outstanding records and keeping track of his weight. He cut back his Lasix based on my calendar which made dad happy.

And I don't have to worry about a lung x-ray. He said based on my weight info and listening to him breathe that he was not concerned about any fluid building up again. YAY! He was still in Afib but said he was lucky not to have any symptoms and unlucky because he was at a greater risk for a stroke (which I knew).

It had been a good day, medically speaking. Now on to more important things like what am I going to eat for supper.

    Thanks for listening to me.

    Good evening

Oof if that list was long it prolly cost you a pretty penny, Dale. Fingers crossed it didn’t.

Glad things went well at the dr, Rat2 :) Hope you can get him to switch physicians as well. I feel you and so need to find someone new, myself.

It was another hot one today. I couldn’t wait to get out of my jeans and sneakers when I got home lol.

You’re a good daughter to your dad Rat2. I fully understand how difficult they can be
Sounds like he’s doing fairly well

We had chicken sandwiches and fries tonight.

It wasn’t really that long Sara, just stuff that don’t keep like salad fixings and stuff. Still more than I’m used to paying

We had a breakfast supper night. I needed easy peasy. Dad's blood pressure was so good today I figured it was a good night to have country ham. heehee

Took a good long walk after supper. Which meant it had cooled down and my book was good. View attachment 974452

    Sleep well all.
Sounds like a great evening Rat2
Sadly I’m ready for bed

    Good night all

I am so sorry. You missed your "window of opportunity" so to speak, for falling asleep. Been there, done that.

Cloudy this morning and looks like rain. Dad said last night we were going to mow the yard today but now he says he is not. I'm flexible. (that sounds much better than I don't give a you-know-what

    ) heehee

Maybe try to grab a short nap dale. If not, I better you will sleep better tonight. I hope so anyway.

Have a good day and happy Friday eve to all.

That’s exactly what happened, I knew you’d understand ;) No napping required tho’ as I got plenty of sleep.
Yeah I can think of a lot of better things to do than mow  Hope you have a wonderful day too :)

Dad decided he was not going to mow today. Ask me if I'm disappointed. Nope. Happy as a fart.
    JC_goody.gif

It was my own fault that I missed my "window: last night. I could not stop reading until I finished the book. Guess I should read about Grover Cleveland instead of sexy wolf shifters.

It's Thursday. Guess I'm taking supper down to my aunt's. Not sure if it will be fish and shrimp or chicken. I was reading on another thread and read where Buffalo Wild Wings has a BOGO on boneless wings on Thursday nights. We have those here but I have never eaten there. It sounds like something I would like. My suggestion has already been poo-poo'd. Ask me if I am surprised? Nope. It does not matter. I am easy when it comes to not having to cook.

Lols, I’ve been reading a lot of supernatural stuff too lately, a genre I never much paid attention to in the past.
Glad you’re not having to mow, it’s much too hot for that!

Think we’ll finally be having that ribeye tonight with smashed potatoes and maybe a salad.

    Good evening ladies

    Happy Friday Eve!!

I prefer vampires to shapeshifting wolves ;) But supernatural is always an interesting genre.

I’ve definitely stayed up too late reading a time or two. Hope you both sleep well tonight.
Good evening hard working Sara
How funny that we’re all reading the same type stuff. The ones I’ve been reading seem to include them all, shifters, witches, vampires, fae and dragons. Pure fantasy

I have read so many vampire books. Not mean ones though. Ones that make me want to be bitten. heehee

Count me into each and every one of those categories.

Don't you think that is a hoot that we read the same kind? It makes me giggle because I think of that movie Bookclub. (loved it, so funny) I have more than enough of "real" life during the day. I want pure fantasy/escape and definitely happily ever afters.

The shrimp was good but the dessert was even better. My aunt had me a chocolate and peanut butter frozen banana treat.
    yummy12.gif
I fuss at her for sabotaging my healthy eating all the time but I think it makes her worse. heehee

    Have a fantastic Friday!
