Good evening Sara and Rat2
I really hate that things are so difficult for you right now Rat2 :(

I’m hungry Sara but waiting for DH to get home, we’ll split a ribeye with leftover bbq beans and hopefully a salad if DH remembers to get a bag.
Hope tomorrow is better for you.

We had a thunderstorm/rain last night. Dad had gone to bed and I was out taking a much-needed walk and wondering if my umbrella was like a lightning rod. I was fine. No free perm for me. heehee

Dad had a doctor's appointment yesterday with his primary but it was really a waste of time. She did not tell me anything I did not already know.

I ate a healthy salad for supper so I could justify the unhealthy chocolate eclair I had a little while ago. Balance. It's all about balance. heehee

Will be back when I can. Hugs to you all.

Good morning Rat2 and Dale

Walks are good for your soul! Glad you can still get some time for yourself, Rat2

Hope you do get some rain, Dale. Pretty cloudy today, but there is still a chance for the sun ;)

    Have a great day!
    Good morning Sara
Unfortunately no chance of rain for us :(

Going to pick up my car today then do some grocery shopping.

    Hiya Dale

Sorry you didn’t get any rain, no sun for us :glare: but a silver lining…..we got to have the first fresh corn of the season :D totally worth the wait!!
Oh humbug! Sorry you didn’t get any sun, wish I could send you ours. It’s hotter than a cast iron skillet here :(
Didn’t get my car after all, wouldn’t start after they cleaned the battery posts

‘That’s great about the corn, it’s so good this time of year.

I’m sorry about your car, Dale :( Hopefully they can get it figured out quickly.

Should be a decent weekend with nothing going on, so it’s ok.

5:30 is going to come quickly but it’s only 2 days so that won’t be bad at all lol

    Sweet dreams
Now that’s a short week :thumb:
    Have a good night

Hope everyone has a great day!
It has started out pretty good for me. Dad went 4 hours without calling or yelling for me. It is the first time since before he went to the hospital.

The only difference I can think of is that he decided to sleep in the recliner last night. Maybe the chair did not put as much pressure on his compression fracture in his back. For whatever reason, methinks he will rest in the recliner again tonight. heehee

There must be rain on the way. I am so sore that there were tears running down my face after I pulled dad up this morning. I told him I had to go to the bathroom so he would not see how bad I was feeling. Whew. I am going to lay back down.

Sara, I hope you have a great day too. (and everyone else)

    Goooooood evening

Truth be told. As much as I love being home, the longer you are home, the harder it is to go back to work. So a quick weekend will be good for me. Plus in a few weeks I will be off for 10 days when we go to Virginia.

No more late nights, Dale. When we shut down for covid, the late night hours went away. We eventually reopened to appointment only and they stayed gone. Management insists we will be appointment only forever but you know how that goes ;)

Ah if I knew that I’d forgotten  I’m glad you don’t have to stay late anymore :thumb:
Yes I remember how hard going back was after extra time off :(

We had a flat iron steak for supper with a salad, never had flat iron, I was surprised how good it was :)
