    Good evening, Dale

Awww, hope you had a lovely visit with the kids.

We actually got home about an hour ago from Virginia. ;) It was a lot of fun after not having been the past couple of years. But I am so ready for my own bed. Lol Hoping to get another load of laundry in before tucking in for the night.

Have to get up early to return the rental and pick up my baby girl. Super excited to see her. I’m off one more day and then back to work I go.

    Good morning Dale

Lucy loves the kennel but she is the queen of cold shoulders, side eyes and pouting. Her usual diva behavior lol She will be excited at first and then will go lay on her throne (stairs) and snore with one eye open to glare at her minions
    That sounds about right

Ohhhh was I wrong. She spent 10 minutes with us and then went upstairs for her crate.

Usually she is begging to come out to the pool area with us. It was a gorgeous day and since she ignored me on the couch, I was like I’m going to take advantage. Go ahead and snooze in the crate lol

fwiw when it’s not super hot/humid, we do let her outside with us. She likes to lay on the patio and watch us swim. She refuses the swim vest we bought her. She would sink otherwise :(

Aw that’s kind of sad :( She needs a kiddy pool to wade in.

Just finished supper, omelettes and toast. Were you off today Sara?

Yes. I was off today. :)

Over the years, we have learned it’s best to drive to Richmond, VA on Saturday. We stay over and finish the drive on Sunday. The tunnels can be horrible when busy. Seeing as you can’t check in too early, we let the hotel know we are there but head out for the beach/lunch. They usually call to let us know one room is ready (my mom and stepdad have been going with us) while at lunch. We drop all the luggage off and head to Walmart for lunches/snacks for the week, eating at restaurants for dinners. The worst part is driving straight through to home the following Sunday. 10+ hours really hits hard, so I have been taking that Monday off to get acclimated to the upcoming routine. Blechhh. Back to work tomorrow.

That being said, we are completely unpacked and all MY laundry is done. ;) The boys have been doing their own for forever

Believe it or not, she doesn’t like kiddy pools either. We got her one of those hard plastic ones a few year ago. It was a no go. She is so stubborn she would rather lay on the hot concrete deck. We do not let her stay out long because she is a brachycephalic breed. Quick to overheat due to poor breathing.

    Sweet dreams
